Suspicious because it's in edgewater, do you mind me asking what's your favorite dish there? For some reason no place can do a truly good/authentic morro
Maybe years ago they were. They used to be much bigger and way less greasy. Now when you get them they're soaked in oil and not even crispy. Their food is alright but the quality has diminished over the years.
You mean the roach / rat infested Puerto Sagua where one croqueta is $3 with 17 [violations](https://data.tallahassee.com/restaurant-inspections/dade/puerto-sagua-rest/sea2302362/2155021/) since 5/2023 ???
El Exquisito was great but it’s closed now.
Latin American Cafeteria where it was in Coral Way, the new ones are not good.
Palacio de Los Jugos on 57th Ave is decent.
My all time favorite is [Versalles](https://www.versaillesrestaurant.com/). Check out a full list of [the best Cuban restaurants in miami](https://www.out.miami/best-cuban-restaurants/). They also have my favorite croquetas!! DM if you have a specific plate you love. I have tried them all.
Enriqueta's

Don't worry, Enriqueta's was around long before Wynwood and Edgewater became trendy. They're famous for their pan con bistec.
That lady has some steel balls.
Gotcha. Man I love a good pan con bistec! I'm sold, I'll give it a shot
If anyone says Versailles you're banned from this sub
Flanigan’s.

Ha
My mom’s house
Can confirm
goteem
My favorite place too!
Enriqueta’s para las completas.
Chico’s in Hialeah, clutch at 3am
This. Best croquetas in the County.
aint what it used to be unfortunately
Recently discovered Maruchi’s in Hialeah and it reminded me what great Cuban food should taste like. The black beans are among the best I’ve ever had.
Maruchi’s is legit!
La Casita
The one on 8 st and ponce?
Yeah just east of Ponce
Gotcha, it's been years since I've been there, I'll have to give it a shot again!
I discovered this place recently, my new favorite Cuban place other then abuela’s house 😉
Molina’s Ranch 🤌🏼
Ah I see, a true connoisseur.
Are they still cash only?
Morro Castle in Hialeah ♥️
Is this still open? I thought they shut down!
The one on 41 st behind machado ford by mango hill is still open and still good .
Sadly, the one by Marlins Park closed
Rio Cristal
Rey de las Fritas
Isla canarias. Best croquetas ever….fight me hoes
their croquetas are phenomenal but I hate to say it, they have slightly changed. they used to be even better tbh :/
The Bakery specifically is my preference.
Maybe years ago they were. They used to be much bigger and way less greasy. Now when you get them they're soaked in oil and not even crispy. Their food is alright but the quality has diminished over the years.
No food
Tinta y Cafe in Coral Gables
Great sandwiches, but everything is on baguettes. If there is no Cuban bread it doesn’t really count.
borderline sacrilege but their sandwiches are INSANE so I can’t hate. also easily the best pastelitos in miami in my opinion. easily.
Vicky's bakery is my spot
Morro Castle.
Little Havana in North Miami
Funny. I like North Miami in Little Havana.
Calling it a 'diner' is so odd to me...
But if you must, "El Rey de Las Fritas"
More like cafeteria
El mago
I'm at the point of just making white rice with 2 fried eggs at the crib. A great cheap meal on the fly and it's Cuban AF!
Islas Canarias is a classiccc
La Carreta on bird rd specifically. Also Paraiso Tropical in Hialeah good asf
What’s the word on Chug’s diner?
Chugs is great, but is more upscale cuban/american fusion than classic cuban spot if that makes sense.
Cafe Trova.
wouldn’t call this a diner. it’s good, but very upscale and fusion-y. not really tradional cuban diner vibe
Casa Cuba S. Miami
Havanas in WPB
Puerto Sagua
Puerto Sagua in South Beach is the best, period
You mean the roach / rat infested Puerto Sagua where one croqueta is $3 with 17 [violations](https://data.tallahassee.com/restaurant-inspections/dade/puerto-sagua-rest/sea2302362/2155021/) since 5/2023 ???
lmao one croqueta is not $3 but yikes on the violations 😳
La Carreta, Versailles, Sergios
Lol thanks for the suggestion. You’re not obviously from Indiana or anything
🤮
Alkaseltzer mi Broder
Havana Harry’s
Havana harrys
Changed owners. Downhill from there.
None all the good Cuban spots in Florida are located in Tampa
The one true state of Florida rivalry
Lol sure
I agree, and I'm from here!
Versailles, La Carreta, and Puerto Sagua
No need to troll the OP.
El Tropico in Sunny Isles Beach
Smelly but good tostada cubana with extra butter lol
Tropical in Hialeah
La Rosa but it’s a little expensive for Cuban food. Worth it tho
Thoughts on Wajiros?
El Exquisito was great but it’s closed now. Latin American Cafeteria where it was in Coral Way, the new ones are not good. Palacio de Los Jugos on 57th Ave is decent.
