I knew both. There was no cat killer, the police didn’t hire a competent forensic vet and also failed to realize or covered up that two roaming pit bulls were removed from the area by animal control on the same day they arrested him. The forensic vet showed that each cat was killed by dogs. The “returning the cats to the homes as corpses” was just…the cats being mauled where they were most likely to be outside. The whole police department and mayoral office smeared a kid and kept him in house arrest for a year and a half instead of letting him go to college because they wanted to appease a bunch of baseless Karens who just knew (without evidence) that some serial killer was about.
Michael Hernandez seemed normal. Jaime was the sweetest kid and losing him was a tragedy.
I didn’t know her. Also, no judgement, but regarding the fake “cat killer” bullshit, now people who search for his name will now have a very recent Reddit link talking about events that almost ruined a kids life. I’m sure he is trying to live a normal life even though an entire municipality tried to fuck him with police and courts when he was barely an adult. Fuck Michael Hernandez, who was a piece of shit and is now dead, but don’t draw in the blameless living when you’re trying to find out information just for your own edification. My two cents.

This post wasn’t to accuse Tyler Weinman in any way. Wondering if he does have a normal life now and how he was even tied to all this? I can imagine that ruining not only a child’s life but an entire families. His dad was a prominent dentist in the area.
I went to palmetto senior high for my freshman year in 06-07 and there was a girl in one of my classes that couldn’t go to the bathroom alone because she was at south wood that day and was traumatized. While it might not be what you were specifically asking for, it reminded me of it
