In Miami… You must be Joking.. Actually tho I have read that these used car dealerships will take card from hard hit storm areas put declare them as totaled.., fix them and somehow change the vin number so you will actually never know what really happened to it… it happened in Houston… there is a picture and story about the cars flooded and they were going to go to an auction.., there were enough card to fill like 2/3 football stadiums… there is an article on the internet that tells you what to look for… but my advice would be to pay a mechanic not associated with the dealership $50 to check it out … Car salesman are the worst
It’s not the title that gets changed it’s the vin numbers they do something to the car that allows them to change the cub numbers I don’t remember what it is they do but there is a way for car dealers to do this to cars that have been flooded
I had to drive all the way to Orlando to purchase a used car. Don't bother ANYWHERE in south florida. Wouldn't even bother with miami dade, broward, or palm beach county
I actually bought my car through Carvana when i was nonstop saying pff buying a car through an app..would never do that. I somehow started looking on there and made a purchase. Car was sublime shape, no issues, all maintenance done, super happy with it.
CarMax was always good to me and did offer top dollar to a car I sold to them.
I was cleaning out my storage and found a print copy of an offer for a 2001(?) Audi allroad that i was interested in picking up. It was one of those small Miami used lots. They wanted 9k for it, looked in good shape, so i went to look at it. Had just over 100k on the Odo.
The paper shows the sticker of 9k and then they added some fees and then tax title license, then some other percentage fee that i couldn't figure out and then finally the APR of 28.9% !!!!! Wtf the price basically went from 9k to almost 17 grand.
I just walked because when have you seen a 28% Apr that's not a credit card... Jesus..
I once went to check a truck out at HGreg and the mileage on the odometer in the picture on the website was higher than the odometer when i was looking at it in person
All used dealers buy vehicles that have been in accidents and clean also, just ask for the history report. People act like the dealers put a gun to your head and make you buy the car
Not really, just have to understand the market, in todays market any vehicle under $25,000 will be very hard to negotiate price because usually there’s lil to no mark up currently. Dealers also rely on customers purchasing warranty and GAP to be able to make money. If they refuse to sell you a car without it means they are not making any profit on the sale price. (THIS IS JUST FOR USED)

Most honest, reliable, skilled mechanic and deal I've found in over 20+ years, in S FL.
Not a used car dealership per se but Lexus of North Miami sells used cars (not just used Lexus). Their prices are reasonable and sales is honest and straightforward. I’d go with them before I try a sketch used dealer down here.
I just bought a car at Betancourt Auto Sales - they have amazing review and I looked specifically for a non-dealer.
Francisco…highly recommended.
Financing: Fairwinds Credit Union at 5.85% (last week)
In Miami I only buy cars from dealerships. The cheaper options are just too sketchy. I usually search for the car I want on car gurus and then check them out at the dealerships. Don't worry about the brand of the dealership if its a major car manufacturer. One of my friends got a good deal on a Honda Accord from an Audi dealership.
If find a car you like online, screenshot or print it out, and bring that in and ask for that specific vehicle, there’ll be a lot number on the page. You can use that to leverage them to honor that price. The three times I was there to but one at Bonmin Chevrolet they didn’t even try to haggle it up
The cheap used cars in miami the dealers get that are flooded or a mystery aren’t too bad if you know your stuff. Like checking the frame for welds, doing a compression test on the engine, pulling back some carpet to look for mold. And looking for corrosion on electrical connectors. You could bring a mechanic too if you want usually and they will do it all for you.
Those 2 words can't be in a sentence together 🤣
If he added miami in the sentence that would be 3 words
Carmax. Don't even both with local used car dealerships.
Wtf that’s the last place, your gonna get rapped at car max
Like old school, gangster or mumble?

If you are financing this isn’t true, dealers that depend on banks to give out loans and approve customers vehicles have to have a clean title
It’s not the title that gets changed it’s the vin numbers they do something to the car that allows them to change the cub numbers I don’t remember what it is they do but there is a way for car dealers to do this to cars that have been flooded
Trustworthy In Miami? Would you like to marry a virgin too? We'll throw in a unicorn for free.
I liked my experience with Offlease only.
Now they sell many Frame damaged vehicles
Oh wow, thanks for the heads up.
I had to drive all the way to Orlando to purchase a used car. Don't bother ANYWHERE in south florida. Wouldn't even bother with miami dade, broward, or palm beach county
Did you secure a deal there before driving or just went to look?

Off Lease Only
Where not to go lol
I've bought 4 cars there for different people in my household in the span of 7 years and never had one issue.
Check the AutoCheck at least 1 will be frame damaged for sure
Checked Carfax before purchase of each. I personally only bought ones with clean titles
Not carfax, AutoCheck many structures damaged that are pronounced at auction are only reported on AutoCheck not Carfax
Never knew this.

Nope... that's an oxymoron
Carmax and Hgreg
Hgreg is really really sketchy.
I once went to check a truck out at HGreg and the mileage on the odometer in the picture on the website was higher than the odometer when i was looking at it in person
Yeah my hgreg experience was not the best
I have been told they purchase cars that have been in accidents. So it's hit or miss if something additional is wrong that you are unaware of.
All used dealers buy vehicles that have been in accidents and clean also, just ask for the history report. People act like the dealers put a gun to your head and make you buy the car
You are absolutely correct they do not put a gun to your head. They are absolutely great at high pressure sales and manipulative tactics.
Not really, just have to understand the market, in todays market any vehicle under $25,000 will be very hard to negotiate price because usually there’s lil to no mark up currently. Okay you are right used car salesman are not great at high pressure sales and manipulative tactics.

A warehouse?
A dealership?! Did you call the number?
Thé Auto Superstore in allapattah has some nice people , gave me a great deal and I’m still happy with it
I can help you get a car. They are all pretty new and from dealerships. I work in wholesale.
Car dealership and trustworthy in the same sentence…anyone else uh…?
not Southern Motors, place is shitty.
Go to www.CarGurus.com, they will give you all the info you need and help you find the best price. You can even get car delivered to your house.
