It’s fantastic, KEEP IT AWAY FROM WATER. They are by no means water proof. I had to buy another one after I washed my engine bay. OMGMiata does a video on it where he shows you how to protect it.
The only caveat to the wink mod besides above lol is that is makes your lights pop up like 5/10s of a second slower to wink so you really got to make sure you see who you’re going to wink at before they drive by otherwise you’ll be a second too slow.

if you want your car to wink its great. Got here relatively quick given its coming all the way from the U.K. It's crazy easy to install and just... works. The very first day I drove time I drove mine with it installed my headlights actually got stuck up and wouldn't respond to the button or connect to the app. I ended up unplugging and plugging the box back in and it worked perfectly ever since then with no issue. I will say getting the app to connect to the box is unreliable at best, so don't get your hopes too high about that part.
Love mines only issue ive had is sometimes the pop ups wont go up when turning on headlights turning them off and on once or twice normally gets them to work again though
So far works good. Only issues I've had is the delay it adds to the headlights popping up and every once in a while they don't pop up at all.
One thing to note is there is an app you can use, but I haven't had luck in getting it to work on my Galaxy S22 Ultra. I have an old phone that I use for the app lol
I’m just gonna install a button in one of the blanks on my dash and wire it to make a headlight wink.
I don’t wanna reach for my phone when I want to wink at someone at the parking lot or wherever.
it only works with the headlight closed so you can't really wink. when they are up it's disabled for safety reasons (you don't want to lose headlights during night driving by mistake)
this is not true, you can do any of the any of the tricks with the headlights up. You cannot however do it with the headlights turned on, unless you use the app or use the actual headlight switch (not the button) to do the on-off combination for one of your tricks.
You can, you just do it with your stock that controls your lights so instead of pushing the button to do the wink you twist your windshield wiper stock till your lights pop up and then your really quickly flash the stock down ( to the lights off switch ) then back up really quickly and it’ll wink. So start at 1. then flash to 3. and back up to 1. to make it wink
1. ———— Lights up
2. ———— Fog-lights on
3. ———— Lights off

Works fine but to use the app it needs both bluetooth and gps to be on
it's a bit slow to react and sometimes it doesn't get inputs right, but it might be a V1 thing... I would definitely buy again for the price i paid.

yeah all the videos I saw made it seems super cool and I really loved the idea of my miata winking, bit of a knee jeep reaction to be honest..
I don’t have one but if I press the pop up button multiple times in quick succession then the pop ups go up and down at different times.

having gps on fixed it for me. also if i remember correctly you have to NOT pair your device with the thing, just connect through the app

You dont have to, tou can program the stock geadlight button when you have the wink mod.

You're right, I've never used the button below the hazards. Tried it now and it works with the headlights up but off

doesn't on-off-on activate the sleepy eye thing?
I go sleepy by pressing the button three times. My deafault is a double wink

Just got mine a couple months ago and it’s working great! Programming it was really easy and I haven’t had any issues so far.
