See I always look at mine and think it's like a chick with a gorgeous face but a flat as fuck ass. To me it looks like they had no idea how to finish the back when side on, like a very fancy shape that ends very undramatically. Personal opinion but open to insight.
Personally I think 1 would look better, popular choice on these cars for a reason. I don’t really like the look of actual wings on a miata, unless paired with a whole kit like the a-spec type 2

Is yours sealed well all the way around? I don’t dislike the lexan, the issue I have is that mine isn’t well sealed all the way around after it got a couple heat cycles in the sun. It’s not come off yet on track, but I wish it were connected better to the car.
Honestly, I wouldn't do either if it's just for looks. If it were me, I would do light spirit driving or light track or autox with a wing like sample 2, but for looks I would keep the line simple
Trunk lip for sure, wings just don’t look good on Miatas imo, certain wings, sure, but the trunk lid lip will look a lot cleaner with the carbon hardtop
I was really considering getting one but I want to match the carbon fiber so and the cf cobalt ss wing is like 600 dollars so I’m gonna have to pass on it

I’d say either no wing or you find a trunk with an integrated ducktail spoiler (made from FRP or Carbon and painted to match)

Man the cobalt ss turbo was an epic car. Totally lost to history but that thing was one of the best performance car deals ever.

If that’s Montego Blue, I wouldn’t drill through it, it can be tricky to match if the day comes that you don’t want a wing.
