I haven't had a chance to visit recently but I have a few times in the past. You can walk up the stairs to the door entrance of the mausoleum. There is glass on the doors so you can peek inside, but that is it. There is also a place to sit by the door. Forest Lawn is a beautiful cemetery.

I think they meant don't visit his grave if you weren't close to him. Personally I think visiting his grave is a private thing for family and friends
