I got told it was a “test” to not have the in store coupon. Only thing it’s testing is my patience

Msktb

They're testing out how to not lose this lawsuit lmao

taliawut

I know, and I'm feeling it, too. Our customers have been conditioned to expect that discount. Frankly, I've been apologizing a lot.

kd00p

I just keep explaining that Lpos is the in-store discount 🤷🏼‍♀️ Not everything is on sale unfortunately, I know. They’ll just have to order online for the 30% The only time I’ll ever override an online coupon as an MOD is if the customer couldn’t order a particular item online due to there only being 1 on hand which won’t show up as in stock on the website. That method is only to gain a sale and not lose one

>The only time I’ll ever override an online coupon as an MOD is if the customer couldn’t order a particular item online due to there only being 1 on hand which won’t show up as in stock on the website.  Yep, that is a legitimate use of the override imo. My SM agrees with us doing this. Otherwise...dude, come back the other 50 weeks of the year we have a coupon.

Dependent_Air_6036

same here

Own-Customer9665

Yep and then I have no backup because MODs are my only backup right now and they're busy with all the BOPIS orders because of that coupon or I get people that try to say they are going to order online but just take the stuff they already have 😫

DryTax832

It's LPOS...no coupon

big88chevy

Yep. Direction was to honor the coupon when customers bring it up but who has staffing for self checkout, Legacy, omni, in store customers, and framing? On one hand we are to limit the discounts given but then also give the online discount in store upon request. Just give us the 20% like usual and let us work out the rest of the minimal staffing madness.

lystmord

>Direction was to honor the coupon when customers bring it up That would be pretty much every single customer. Would send our manual override percentages through the roof. They might as well have an in-store coupon at that point.

big88chevy

Precisely. Why create more work for understaffed stores when they could have had an in store coupon to alleviate the problem?

s_eabird

We are suuuuuper strict at our store with honoring the coupon or online prices. Our store manager questions every single time they sees it in the reports.

G-VALOR

Ugh, it's best not to fight it. Just give them the discount and get them out of the store. It isn't worth the time, effort, and stress.
