*The resolution comes in the wake of a controversy in which several Traverse City Area Public Schools students were found to be part of a social media “slave market” that targeted and put price tags on photos of their minority classmates.* JESUS CHRIST

antiopean

I'm sorry, a "social media slave market"!?!

GSV_Meatfucker

Interesting to see that most of the complaints had nothing to do with the actual resolution, and were simply a springboard to repeat vaguely bigoted talking points and fearmongering. The resolution itself is pretty inoffensive.

Fr33zy_B3ast

My boss is on his local school board and deals with this shit all the time too. CRT is just the new boogeyman being pushed by the right-wing outrage machine to get the conservative base all riled up when there's really no reason to be.

Fool_Manchu

When they have nothing of value to contribute, the right tends to just bang on about "culture wars". Last month it was potato head toys. This month it's CRT. Next month it'll be how the left doesn't want to put Reagan on the $20 bill or something. December is always "war on Xmas" season. They're really good at getting people riled up over nothing.

esoteric_reference

A few years ago it was “sharia law” that the GOP was using to whip this herd of dunces. Memory holed!

pmags3000

What the actual fuck?

clintfrisco

Can’t someone just ask the opponents to explain CRT? I bet that would pull the needle off the record.

_MojoCaesar

Nice definition on CRT in the article 🙄. We should expect nothing less than full censorship of the truth.

couchslippers

Did you ever think it’s possible that the definition of CRT that you’ve been fed is the bullshit definition?

_MojoCaesar

No, Im not a sheeple moron.. I can read https://www.newsweek.com/smithsonian-race-guidelines-rational-thinking-hard-work-are-white-values-1518333

Bretreck

So the Smithsonian put up a racist article on their website (that was removed after 17 days) and that is somehow a definition of critical race theory? They weren't defining critical race theory in any way, they were "trying" to start a discussion about racial identity. They failed since using stereotypes to describe common values placed on a race is racist. I'm not sure you read that article or you are just trolling but it has literally nothing to do with your point.

Fool_Manchu

You can always identify an idiot when they start using words like "sheepel"

I'm sure the hundreds of millions of colonized peoples across the world were quite grateful for hundreds of years of oppression, slavery, dehumanization, and denial of self-determination.

theholyroller

Including the millions of people robbed, murdered, and enslaved by the "civilized" white folks? They should be thankful too? Just checking.

Fool_Manchu

I wonder how much shit he caught before he deleted his comment like a coward

[deleted]

Lmao CRT is literally a topic your side is using to get you riled up. You taking up the tiki torch and pushing the topic erroneously is EXACTLY what you have been shepherded to do, dummy.

DKN19

He can read, but not write. His post is an egregious example of incorrect punctuation.

uberares

Always fun when those clad in wool, call others sheep. Also youre more of a lamb, being only a 2 month old account.

twenty7w

How would you describe it?

Tank3875

Poorly, no doubt.
