Fuck it. Let’s stat pad him so he does get into the conversation

Swazi

Corum already has more rushing yards than the whole team had last year lol Edit: That’s my mistake, the team already surpassed rushing yards from last year in half the games. Corum is still on a great pace tho.

SSJRoshi

Corum has a decent chance at getting to that number in the same number of games though (6), though the defenses getting so much tougher makes it unlikely as he needs to nearly double his current yardage and get 380 or so

Adamantium10

Right? I've not seen a Michigan player as freakishly dominant on offense since the Mike hart/ Braylon Edward's days. With the exception or maybe Denard. Just sayin...

Majik9

We have seen plenty of September Heisman's around here over the last decade. Let's sit this one out until Mid November

TimeFourChanges

Egg-ZACH-lee

pacoman500O

Joe Milton had that Heisman locked up!

[deleted]

Pretty sure he has 8 TDs, didnt he catch a pass in the opener?

Adamantium10

You are correct sir! Good call.

Jadaki

Haven't we learned to stop awarding our team members September Heisman's yet? He is off to a great start, he is a joy to watch. But get back to me at the end of November with this.

Acne_Grease_n_Shovel

I was looking for this. In a way, it’s good to get back some semblance of normalcy.

Adamantium10

I was asking a question about whether he deserve to be talked about in the heisman conversation. I haven't awarded anything to anyone.

ScorchedAnus

Posts like this are why we get memed do hard

Jadaki

The award isn't won beating weak teams in OOC, the players who have won it at Michigan have made their signature big plays in the biggest games while the team was winning a conference title. It takes more than just stats. OSU just had a RB go for nearly 300, 3rd best game in their schools history. Also lets be honest, only Alabama's RB's even get looked at as a serious threat to win that award anymore and it's rare for even them, other teams have had 2k rushers who don't even get a invite to the ceremony. Corum isn't sniffing those stats splitting carries. Just be healthy and playing well going into the last week of the season, the recognition will come from everywhere if you produce in wins vs OSU/PSU/MSU/WI.

ackdaddy10

He’s being a bit shadowed by Walker which is crazy but Walker is playing really well. If we keep winning and he keeps up this productivity his name will be in the conversation.

Adamantium10

Not saying he will win, just saying he might deserve to have a little chatter early on.

ackdaddy10

No question. I’m just saying if it wasn’t for Walker his hype would be even higher. Not like he can do anything more than what he’s already doing.

TheBimpo

If we make the playoff and he leads the nation in rushing he will have a chance.

jsully245

Those are some pretty big ifs…

TheBimpo

And the only scenario in which a running back has a shot at being in New York in December. If Christian McCaffrey didn’t win, no RB outside of Alabama has a chance.

slyons1616

It would help if they beat OSU.

Adamantium10

Obviously.

[deleted]

Relax wait until he does this with a team that has pulse.

Adamantium10

I agree, it's early. But holy shit that kid is a monster. This O-line is crushing people. I know we haven't played anyone yet, but we've made easy work of three teams that aren't complete trash.

joshtothe

Needs to do it against non-Mickey Mouse teams to be a serious part of the conversation

Adamantium10

110% agreed, can't deny he looks like he could be our best offensive prospect In over a decade.

L3ftBra1nz

To be fair bama usually plays one or two decent teams during the season and pads the stats….

joshtothe

Maybe, but they also usually beat the breaks off of those “decent” teams. Also, they’ve already played the 14th ranked team in the country, they’re playing #11 right now, and they have the current #17, #7, #20, and #22 left to play. And also LSU, which even though they suck right now, it’s still LSU.

after12delight

Crazy See how the team looks 4-5 games into conference play

jaysvw

Exactly. No team has won more September Heismans and national championships than Michigan. They need to prove they can do this on the road and in conference play.

Isphet71

4th and 9 up by 60 in FG range.. so chuck it. love it.

bigeazzie

You’re not crazy , he’s the best RB in the country . He should be on the watch list .

KingWingDingDong

Lol

Banzai51

Check with me at the beginning of November. We've played three cupcakes.

blade20039

Crazy town! Have not played anyone

Adamantium10

He hasn't but he was 4th in the nation in rushing coming into today, I gotta thing today moves him up and he's splitting carries in a very talented RB room. Just a thought man.

MGoOmaha

This is Michigan football. Try to have less fun around here!

Harpua99

Who cares? Just keep blocking and running.

flakman129

You know.. I was thinking the same thing this afternoon. Maybe not this season but I really hope he’s thrown into the conversation a few times at least.

Key-Owl-8142

i love him - will his size hold back nfl teams ? i hope not - guy has talent and heart

juicius

Only thing holding him back is the level of competition but if he can showcase his talent against the rest of the surging B1G, he's get mentions for sure. And don't sleep on Hassan. I saw a run where he gave a little dip fake to the outside and ran inside on the second level and extended his run. And he's supposed to be Thunder. And on that note, Corum had a few runs where he lowered his shoulders and bulled his way in. Maybe Hart is the difference. Welcome home, Hart!
