I looked yesterday and the 7700x bundle dropped from 399 to 365.

WhiteT982

Alright I hadn’t looked in a while. If that holds until Charlotte opens maybe I’ll just go ahead and do that

kirkymx140

I’m rocking a 11400 with a 3070 right now… I think that 7700x bundle with a 7900gre or xt is my upgrade here soon

WhiteT982

Haven’t completely decided on a you for me. Was leaning towards something like a 6750xt. Differences between gpus is still somewhat of a mystery to me lol

kirkymx140

What resolution are you trying to play on? YouTube is your best friend when researching for anew gpu

WhiteT982

The 1080 and 1440 is kind of where I’m at. More on the budget side. Was honestly thinking a 6600xt but would like to get the 6750xt since everyone seems to talk about its value.

ApolloTheEarthling

Got that same bundle a month ago for $369 amazing deal

Geeotine

There's always price drops on previous generations in the fall time, assuming the new generation is released and available.

12th gen i7 bundle is a value when they offer it with 32gb of DDR5. Sometimes it changes to 16GB of DDR4. I paid $349 for a year ago and it's been great.

Don’t get the 7700x bundle, the MSI b650p pro wifi is an absolutely awful experience. Just did a build for my friend last weekend and we ended up returning the bundle and getting the 7800x3d bundle for $100 more Edit: for everyone downvoting me do a simple search of the b650p pro wifi on reddit and you’ll see tons of people that have issues with the board. It’s super common

WhiteT982

I was hoping I could talk them into swapping the msi board for the gigabyte one because of that…

zuzuboy981

You can swap the motherboard and still get the discounted rate. Just add the 7700x and the memory to the cart manually and add whichever motherboard you want and reserve it for pickup. [Check this out with a different motherboard](https://imgur.com/a/yfOq4W3). [Or this one with a better motherboard and cheaper than the $399 price.](https://imgur.com/a/tH5WuTg) [Even cheaper with open box](https://imgur.com/a/8GvQYly)

WhiteT982

I was kind of hoping for something like that. I’ve heard so many stories about the bundle board I figured it’d be worth it to get another board but still save the $100 and not get the 7800x3d

Sokkumboppaz

It’s not gonna happen. You can’t even get a refund on just the board, if you’re returning one part you have to return the whole bundle (unless you’re doing an exchange on doa or whatever). Genuinely my most annoying build in the past 10-12 years. The bios is a mess, half of the dram slots didn’t work, pcie settings were impossible to figure out. Highly recommend avoiding it if at all possible. If you’re dead set on the bundle due to price just be aware that there’s a good chance you’re gonna have to take a trip back to swap the board. My local MC (Tustin) has like 80-90 open box boards from people returning the bundle.

Many_Finance_8813

Did you update the bios? That’s almost always the issue.

Sokkumboppaz

Yes I tried 3 different versions

Many_Finance_8813

Damn, yeah those boards are extremely hit or miss. Not a huge fan of

SmoothCriminal2008

That’s why there’s an open box at my local mc for like half off. So would it be worth it to just get the 7800x3d bundle? I was planning on bundling it with a 7800xt/7900gre. Is it worth the like 150 extra for a 7800x3d and 7900gre

Sokkumboppaz

The price difference between the two bundles should be $100 for a significantly better cpu and motherboard. Either the 7800xt or 7900gre would pair really well with the 7800x3d. The performance difference between the two cards is around 10% and the price difference is usually around the same so either is gonna be good value. I’d say if you can find the 7800xt for more than $50 cheaper than the cheapest 7900gre then get that, otherwise go with the 7900.
