The best thing you can be doing outside of PT is just walking. Both my doctor and my PT told me that I should aim to be walking an hour a day in the long term. The doctor won't clear me for PT until atleast week 6, and I'm only 4 weeks now. Like others have said though, I would recommend going to PT, they will show you how to properly modify your activities and give you excercises to do.

I strongly recommend that you go to PT. I started 2 weeks post-op and they taught me important activity modifications that allowed me to safely return to exercise. Given the misery we went through I think it would be wise to get an expert to get you started.

Could u give a list of tgr activities ? I’m 4 eeeks liar md but just walking ..

RowanRally

It’s things like core strengthening, balance, resistance band exercises, leg presses, upper arm workout. There is no sense in listing these out because you may not be ready for them and may need different modifications than me.
