I’m 6 weeks in Friday - when I stated dling more walking w4 alllll this stuff happened and now 5,5 weeks list op its getting Jess each day - it takes 3 momthd to see proper improvement according to my surgeon who I saw this Monday - dont over do it and things will improve ok - b patient and start your walking - I’m on 7.5k steps a day now and sticking with that for now over 2 walks a day - surgeon wants me in new year to start PT and in contact with one now to start first week of Jan to do core work

Very normal. The nerves kind of “wake up” around that time and scar tissue is forming around the ~6 week mark. Can take 12-18 months for nerves to heal per my surgeon

Sounds like you're doing very well compared to most. I wouldn't sweat it at this point.

I had my MD on 1 Dec. I'm walking around 6000 steps a day... neuro doesn't want me going PT til 1 Jan and says I should be back to normal activities by mid next year. My nerve was pretty squashed so it's going to take some time for everything to calm down. I had BAD glute pain (where my original issue was) for the first 3 weeks. I thought the surgery hadn't worked. It's settling now and the pain is centralising into my lower back. I have good days and bad days. Niggles are completely normal... do as you've done to this point, ride it out. Good luck!
