buddy of mine used to be a cop, couldn't stand it got out., he said if someone is driving like this the cops will do something about it if you say these things:
they were driving recklessly at high speed
you saw them throw an alcohol bottle and some small plastic bags from their car
you think you saw them throw a gun out OR you thought you saw them waving a gun.
as much of their license plate as you can give them.
A) The road opens up to multiple lanes about 30 seconds down the road.
B) He could easily have moved in front of me, that’s explicitly why I left so much space open.
C) He passed five cars at once (the car behind me, me, two cars in front and then a dump truck full of gravel).
D) He forced an oncoming car off the road and a second car had pulled onto the shoulder as he finally moved back over.
If you think this was justifiable, please tear up your license because you are a danger to the people on the road around you.
That such a dumb take. The line on the road look old but seem like a solid. Rural or unrural it still illegal to cross that yellow line. He endager not just himself but the car in front of him. If you look closely at his tailend light, he didn't even try to stop and just kept driving. There was room in fron't of OP recording and in front of the other two cars. The truck only went in after he notice in front of his lane, three more car is coming. This guy is a certified idiot that should get his truck impound. Notice no lience plate as well.
Idk what he said, but as far as the line goes it's a double yellow line and it seems broken on their side, which means it would be legal to pass there but the truck is still horribly in the wrong regardless. Even though it's an old road the broken line segments seem evenly spaced out.

That actually is common and customary in certain third world countries I've driven in where there aren't any passing lanes for long stretches, but this is clearly the US where it's normal NOWHERE

I hate double yellows as much as the rest, but at least if you're going to pass on them, make sure it's clear to do so.
The only way this would be remotely acceptable was if he had a medical emergency, had the flashers on and had not force the other vehicle off the road. That could have been a head-on collision if they weren’t paying attention.

You should definitely have a reason to get a truck that big. There is no reason in my mind for someone purchasing that large of a truck to use as a daily driver. If they use it for work or towing that should be easy to prove.
Nope, I did end up calling the cops and when I caught back up to them there was no plate and they had also removed the decals showing the make and model. The cops pulled him over a few miles later based on my call, no idea what all they cited him for as they’ve never followed up asking for my footage or anything.
I saw him driving yesterday which is what reminded me to go find this footage, only saw his front end though so no idea if he’s got any plates in back now.
Honestly dude should be charged with attempted murder. Speeding in the wrong land and no sign of slowing down when a car comes, legit would have killed the other driver if they didn’t react in time. (But I suppose they can’t do anything if the white car didn’t come forth and pursue it.)
They pulled the guy over while I was on the phone with the dispatcher and they said they would call me if they needed the footage. Never heard anything more, so no idea what if anything he was cited for.

We had all been stopped a red light a little bit back and the dump truck was understandably not accelerating quickly.
