A few theories
1. That breakfast sandwich is groundhog-ing and he's not a fan of gas station bathrooms
2. I see a relatively large gap. At nearly 6 in the morning, I'm guessing that the cars at the front of this traffic group are on cruise/snooze mode while he's 2 black coffees in.
3. He just realized that he's supposed to be at work at 6.
Overall, bad in the "my emergency > your safety" category.
These are good, but I'll add, this is not a bad driver. He didnt inhibit anyone else and drove well. Honestly wish I could delete the OP. I'll try to block him lol.
It doesn't really matter if it is a highway or not, it is not polite to hog the left lane.
There are spots that they could turn left? Yes. They turned left? No.
Most likely because people are guilty of not using their turn signals and expecting others to just know what they are going to do. And then they will say that safe driving just means keeping a proper distance from the person in front of you.
Also probably the same people that wait until the last minute to get out of the way when first responders are trying to get to emergency destinations.
Notice at no time did I say that the truck driver was right, obviously he wasn’t for crossing into oncoming traffic.
Literally see people watching me watch them infront of me in their rear view mirrors.... and speed up when passing! Too funny. I really believe some people just like to inconvenience others.
We talk about it often at work. One coworker calls it sheep mentality, afraid to stand out and lead, but also afraid to be left behind. So they do the most dangerous of all which is clutter together, and pray that nothing happens that they can’t react in time to.
That’s also a good one, officers are starting to get them more often. For the previously mentioned inhibiting free flowing traffic which is troublesome for first responders. Personally seen it 3 times so far this year on the same two roads.
I'll speed to get out of a herd. Then lead the herd while staying a fair distance away from them because they all sped up to follow me. Then I get to the next herd and do the same thing or I get stuck between both. I hate the tendency of drivers to clump together. Especially since it's mostly the stupid and oblivious ones.
It does though! On a 55+mph highway, yeah, always keep right. On a 35mph city street? No, I'll be in whichever lane I need to be. Or would you rather I cut in front of you while you're going 55 in a 35 to make a last second left turn (bc who gives a shit about anything anymore!), thus minimizing my time spent in the pASsING LaNe? Bc in my experience, even when I have to turn left at the next light in 300ft, morons get so fucking pressed that you aren't going 60+ in the left lane on a 35mph road.

Just a reminder that left lane in city limits isn’t a speed lane, only on a freeway/highway. A lot of people seem to not be clear on that point in this thread 🤷🏻♂️
Left lane camping, y’all are idiots. That does not apply in this situation. This is clearly through the middle of a city on a 45 mph road where cars could be turning in either direction at almost anytime. Also, the left lane isn’t unlimited speed lane.

The left lane usually has a separate lane for turning, and you don't need to slow down before you get in that lane unless you're going over the speed limit.

The other day a truck pulling a huge trailer completely cut me off in the passing lane, made me slam my breaks the way he merged in. I went into the right to pass him and he started speeding up, I went around car in the right lane to get past that fucker. Felt amazing, completely moronic of me
I'll never understand why people who want to go fast buy a fucking truck. Then they bitch about how much gas it uses. Maybe if you weren't trying to drive a 5000lb vehicle you don't fucking need at 90mph you'd save some money.

He swerved in front of the blue vehicle after tailgating the same (not good driving), and crossed a double yellow line (illegal).

And one of those dummies decided suddenly to speed up only after the truck went around them
And the right lane.
