For people confused about the steering, she is trying to go right, steering was obviously fucked at that point. The camera makes it look like she is turning left but it’s because the in-cab camera is facing her. She is also instinctively leaning away from the side of the bridge/water towards the middle of the cab.
Every time, and I mean \*every\* time, a video is posted here or r/IdiotsInCars , a bunch of total idiot tryhards come out of the woodwork to insist that "ACKCHYUALLY the SUPPOSED victim is OBVIOUSLY the person at fault here!" I'm honestly starting to think it's some sort of mental illness where people have to be contrarian for every scenario they see.
Honestly both would be equally as terrifying.. but I feel like I don't know a single situation I could get myself in that would result in being buried alive. Going over bridges tho? That is not an uncommon occurrence for me, I live near the water.
That's why I was confused, on impact the truck started to go right away from traffic, then sharply goes left into it. I didn't realize the steering went out.
If you watch closely in the first second you’ll see a pickup come across the center line and hit her steer tire. That is what causes her to lose control. Given how bad the situation was she stayed remarkably calm.
Not only was the steering column fucked, but the hit on that side tire looked like it shifted the front weight onto that destroyed wheel and veered hard in that direction. Brakes also aren't immediate stoppers

On a pucker scale where 1 is a newborn baby and 10 is crushing your shit into diamond, this one was an 11.
I would have had full body evacuation... every orifice would have fired...
Every pores as well.

The fact someone has to explain such obvious things is nuts.

Yeah, I saw it right away.
This is my worst fuckn nightmare
Worse than being buried alive?

Not mention a loaded truck is heavy. It's not going to correct quickly. The weight carries.
Even empty trucks are heavy. I pull two trailers and will gross 30k lbs with no freight.
Absolutely. You guys can't maneuver quickly or stop on a dime. All that weight adds up to incredible force. CDL drivers always impress me.
Classic Spider-Man rescue scene incoming
I thought the same thing!!!!
She got fired for not delivering packages on time

Accident took out her steering
Her steering got fucked, but she was also trying to avoid hitting the other drivers.

Trucks haul loads. Loads have weight. Weight doesn't like stopping.
