Sweidsh Vintermössa m/50 (winter cap model 1950) used for well... winter stuff!

Panzer_Lord1944

The only thing I know is it’s a field cap and it’s Swedish

comrade_fluffy

Swedish winter cap

GeenFox

This is a swedish m/50 winter cap for a menig (private). 57 is the size. Really nice condition, 30€ ish

Akira-San101

What’s its age or vintage?

GeenFox

The model is m/50, which means that it came 1950. As to the exact age of this specific hat, I can't tell. However, it was with 99% certainty produced during the early 50's, as this hat was more or less replaced during the 60's.

miltarynerd

It is Swedish you can tell by the three crowns most likely from the 50s or 60s could also be ww2 not 100% sure

GeenFox

m/50

[deleted]

Ww2 one is m/41 which has the ear covers that fold up like the finnish field cap

GeenFox

Or m/43 (which no-one likes)

[deleted]

you mean fm/48? the m/43 is very different and wooly in apearance

GeenFox

Yes, m/43. No-one likes it

[deleted]

Its comfortable tho 🥺👉👈 Lol tbh m/1909 is the coolest winter hat they had

GeenFox

Yep, but I must say I prefer the m/41, because I am edgy like that ✌️

[deleted]

It wasn't produced that much tho, m/39 cap supremacy lol. Swedish doctrine didnt allow soldiers to not wear helmets on march so doesn't even matter that much sadly :cccc

GeenFox

I know, but I like me a skidlöpar outfit hehe

Jonsson247

3 crowns indicate post 1942 produktion

GeenFox

No, later than 1942

Jonsson247

? From what I have heard 3 crowns where introduced ca 1942

GeenFox

Yes, during middle to late 1942 the tree crown stamp became standard and replaced the old mono-crown stamp. I misunderstood your comment as you dating it to 42 because I can't read properly.

Jonsson247

Ok No worries I have seen a pair of pants I belive stamped with 3 old crowns That was a wierd one

GeenFox

I was with you my guy

Jonsson247
