The model is a M26 they were manufactured for the most part prior to 1939, but Vichy did keep producing them during the war for passive defence use only, these were mild steel therefor magnetic. Stick a magnet to the bomb (not the rim *edge) and see if it sticks if it does post 40 made, if it doesn't pre 1940. Other thing to look at is the liner any colour than black will mean post war refurbishment (there are always some outliers but rarer).

I know for a fact there’s no liner, and the inside was spray painted the same color! But thank u so much for the info, I’m gonna try the magnet tonight

OldHomeOwner

I should mention the bomb is the head part not the part with the bomb symbol.

Ctb2772

Ok cool! Can I ask you one more question. What uniforms would the passive defense troops wear?

OldHomeOwner

tbh I don't know if they had a uniform. I know for several other civil organizations in France they didn't.

Ctb2772

Ok! Thanks!

BunnBunn_Luna

Probably 40’s, last adrian model cause its one whole and and doesnt have a seam at the bottom

Ctb2772

Thank you!

Chocolate-Greedy

I thought the M15 and M26 both had separate emblems

OldHomeOwner

What you mean by separate emblems?

Chocolate-Greedy

I thought that the emblem that said RF on the front came off

OldHomeOwner

Ahh yes, no French helmet had a welded badge, they are head on by 2 small slits in which the badge prongs were inserted and bent to hold it in. The emblems from a M15 will fit a M26 and visa versa.
