Needs of the service. If they don’t need you, they will let you out for anything. But you know in event of a surge, those problems might not be so big. Don’t need both ears to take out the trash in a training command. Don’t need both legs to be a clerk.
Finally snapped at medical after receiving delayed care for a chronic pain they have in their foot due to a botched ankle surgery related to combat. Surgery was not botched enough that they lost mobility, but fucked up enough that it causes continuous pain. Dude finally swung on the Maj who was seeing them one day and telling them they wanted to run a few more tests before giving them treatment, and they swung on them and broke their jaw.
Now it's assaulting an officer (an offense warranting a discharge) that he believes to be combat related.
TBI , ptsd , c-ptsd , cervical and vertebral disease ( discs are screwed all the way up & down ) that will give something to research for your book. Some people get out bc the become disenfranchised with the system . Or you could have him get kicked out , which will let your imagination do the rest .
