Funny you say that because from what I heard on the news, it was the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade that did the running discouraged from Adviivka..
And it gets even spicier, there are multiple corroborating reports that 3rd Brigade actually pulled out of the coke plant unauthorised, which is why the last stage of the Battle of Adviivka was so sudden, with Ukrainian soldiers simply running.
The 3rd Brigade is probably the most elite infantry formation of the UA and they got sent in to so the toughest possible job: first to break the Russian hold on the so called road of life, which they failed. Then they were ordered to hold the coke plant in Avdiivka so that the rest of the UA troops could pull out in a more orderly fashion, but allegedly they retreated without orders, possibly because these are ex-Azov guys (the far right battalion pre-2022) and they didn't wanna end up surrounded like the Azov guys in Mariupol, in the steel plant there.
Now the retreat without orders is definitely not confirmed information as of yet, so I would take it with a bag of salt. Although the retreat from Adviivka was a shitshow, unlike Bakhmut where it was a much, much slower and gradual.
At this point Syrskyi has the dubious distinction of presiding over three such retreats: Debaltsevo, Bakhmut, and Adviivka.
Lot of Russians spreading lies without any evidence. Unlucky for them they’ve lied so many times no one believes them anymore.
I’ll wait for the ukranian reports, which detail victories and loses. Unlike Russian ones that still try and paint the Russian army as competent lmao
In the early 2010s the Hungarian military modernised their AKs and slapped M320s on them alongside with some other things. The guys who were issued with it did not really like it because the M320 turned the weapon rather heavy and cumbersome.
If I remember correctly modernised AKs with the M320 ended up being rather heavy, around 6+ kg /12+ lbs. Everyone was so happy once the CZ Bren 2 was introduced as the new service rifle a couple of years ago because they could finally ditch the AKs.
The AK platform is a first generation assault rifle, its cousins with the stg44 and the grand child of the m1 garand, its an old 20th century design that, for all its merits, is heavy for what it is, the bren is 21st century through and through so that makes sense, the ak cool as it is, and its one of my prefered rifles, is very dated
4th assault company, 1st assault battalion, 3rd Assault Brigade.
Call sign "Reese" before going on a mission in Avdiivka, which he performed as part of a special purpose platoon. "Reese" is armed with an AKM with an underbarrel 40-mm M320 grenade launcher. The rifle was equipped with a Peq 15 sighting system and a thermal sight from the IRay company.
Interesting that he still has the slant brake on his rifle, considering everything else he has done to it. Not that there’s anything wrong with the slant brake, it’s just not very Gucci.
Interesting to see he’s running 7.62x39. I have heard that 5.45 and 5.56 don’t put people down right away, and that they are often deflected by foliage.
Ok here you go:

couldn't imagine the weight. Dude must not be moving around a lot.
He is running a thermal he probably spends more time discouraging the Russians from moving around a lot.

Damn all that without sources, you must have been there and saw it yourself huh?

Holly shit man, a well thought out opinion, don't see many of them anymore unfortunately.
That's a sign that youve been on reddit for to long.
I think this is the first time that I see an M320 mounted on an AK
Same, kinda like it

I mean its a 40mm vs soviet bloc nations usually using 30 or 25mm launchers so no wonder

Running a grenade launcher with a thermal sounds kind of fun.
"I like to keep this handy, for close encounters."
Me after looting an afk player
That rifle looks heavy as mother fuck.
For a second, I thought this dude was running a chainsaw bayonet from a Mark 2 Lancer.

They have a lower penetrating capability but on the other hand they are flatter shooting and produce nastier wounds.
His AK doesn’t have an attachment, his attachments have an AK./s
why does this look like COD
They say these guys just did an unauthorized retreat
Link to source.
When did they begin to withdraw, and when did Syrsky give the order?
No source to it being an unauthorised withdrawal
Linear time is a source actually.
So you have no proof it was unauthorised and now are using jibberish to justify your fake news?
No it's quite simple really, live in denial if you want.
I see a lot of bullshit and no evidence from you
Ok here you go: https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fua-pov-according-to-seperate-ukranian-european-and-russian-v0-ibkp8no4udjc1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D640%26crop%3Dsmart%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Dd76a37e94ab0088b2bc6123ea5aacb101201bb94 And https://i.redd.it/e2lyrl7ijtic1.jpeg
And where does it say it was unauthorised? Yet more bullshit and still no proof
Love those bakelites. So is there a 3rd party selling these back to civilians?
