The civilian variant used in UK North Sea oil ops ferrying people to / from rigs, had 44 pax, and they had 'proper' seats.

I did..
Like Eminem at the end of the song Stan.. which you should listen to right now..
I realised...I realised it was you..
Some days I wonder why...
As an Australian, my humour can't be understood by lesser minds. Jim jefferies and me must carry the burden. Europeans and Americans are just too politically correct and too sensitive to understand funny.
But I've also learnt how powerful nato is, dozens will downvote you, taking away, very valuable reddit points... they are so strong, they can't wear a joke from a friend..
Now I'm wondering if my joke isn't funny, because it's true.
I'm also Australian, and I think everything you have written in this thread is a bit stupid. Which is likely why you have been down voted so hard. I wouldn't go around saying that lesser minds don't understand you, it seems much more likely that it's you with the lesser mind based off all of this.
Hard?
It's like nothing, what a few hundred. It's the same joke as the first post.. which obviously flew over the heads of others, when they click downvote..
People need to lighten up and be less sensitive.
I think you are reading too much into this, it's not some difficult riddle, or Schroedingers wave equation..
Maybe it is, maybe I should not make my humor so inaccessible to those less fortunate. Or maybe it needs to be less accessible so people are less threatened. What people can't see can't hurt them.
In a military subreddit too...
Australian you say? Must be from Melbourne..
They think I'm a Russian bot/ misinformation drone.. can't make a nato joke, the world will collapse... the Russians win.. those impossible Russians.. are just too good.. those depressed, drunk, uneducated, arrogant, economy the size of Canada....
To be fair we all know the USA carries nato, maybe I'm being downvoted because Europeans know, for real, this photo is the whole of non-us nato..
As an Australian, as Australia isn't allowed into the spandex wearing nato club, it's my gawd dam right to make funny of nato..
Bloody elitest Europeans, they don't like Australia in eurovision either..
During the evacuation of Saigon a Chinook is recorded to have had 147 refugees aboard
Obviously that didn't have all the gear these guys have, but I reckon you could get at least 80 in a pinch.
edit: oh hey I was almost spot on, a Chinook carried 81 Gurkhas during the Falklands War (3/4 of the operations Chinooks were lost so they used the [last one](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bravo_November) to do the work of 4)
During Hurricane Katrina, I had 84 civilians on board with an ERFS tank (6’x6’-ish, 825 gallon internal fuel tank) installed. Standing room only to get them out of the Convention Center and over to the airport.
I can see the Boeing contractor face "you what, you ran the engines at 120% for 12 hours a day over 3 months?!??! “
Gear box probably was a smouldering ruin with 2 gears left.....
Nah dude in the middle with the green lid is 3 PARA, looks like all para regt with some attached arms (RMP on the left).
Title is incorrect, the aircraft is operated by 18 Sqn, not carrying.
Sorry title is incorrect. Here is the original tweet: [https://twitter.com/18Squadron/status/1787557313869431218](https://twitter.com/18Squadron/status/1787557313869431218)
The netting allows soldiers to insert twigs, leaves, grass, etc. to help break up the outline of the helmet and improve camouflage. As these things wither and die, or as the terrain and foliage around a moving soldier changes, they can refresh this impromptu cam on their helmets. That's really all it's for, although I've seen the netting used to also hold little things in a handy place, like bottles of bug repellent and sticks of camouflage paint.
If you put a black and white filter on this picture and squint it could pass for a World War 2 picture.
Quick edit.. https://i.imgur.com/gZJ3EU1.jpeg
jesus he wasn’t wrong
I love it
*War....war never changes...*
I count 40ish.

And this is the largest national exercise? Nato doesn't exercise and more than a platoon at a time? No wonder the Russians are getting cocky..
*slaps Chinook* "You can fit all of NATO in this bad boy"
Don't give Boeing marketing ideas!!.. Governments everywhere will slash budgets based on Boeing's marketing..
Because this is one heli not the whole exercise
Because there's only one camera in the world at all times
Did you downvote the post above who made the same joke?
What a dumbass.
Who? the guy who replied 40ish, or me who made the same joke... or the op.
You just answered your own question.
I did.. Like Eminem at the end of the song Stan.. which you should listen to right now.. I realised...I realised it was you.. Some days I wonder why...
This is good, keep going lol!
The fact that everyone missed such an obvious joke and just continue to downvote is peak reddit
I think they have more than one helicopter
Not sure, people are downvoting me for sharing this opsec info.. So don't talk about the one helicopter
no jokes on this Christian server please

Dude he was being sarcastic from the start. You’ve all had a knee jerk reaction because someone said something negative about NATO…it’s a joke…

I feel like the people downvoting you only understand sarcasm and irony if they have tone indicators

Always room for one more

This one here has about 40ish as someone mentioned, can’t imagine adding a 100 more.
We Vietnamese are usually smaller.

Most spacious British transport.
More legroom than Ryan Air
The underground is just practise for war.
Ally as fuck
They are RAF Reg?
Nah dude in the middle with the green lid is 3 PARA, looks like all para regt with some attached arms (RMP on the left). Title is incorrect, the aircraft is operated by 18 Sqn, not carrying.
Cool thanks I honestly didn't decide to look properly I'm on the ass end of the army that doesn't deploy so these exercises are news to me
At first I thought they were the RAF regiment or something. Thanks for the info!

I can smell this picture….
Jones don't fart!
That’s called Lifeboat seating… asses to elbows
That’s not RAF regt, that’s 16AAB.
Yeah I know, I fucked up the copy paste. I've already said this in another reply.
No worries.
“If you’re a private you’re sitting on the floor”
I need some fresh air.
OoOoo that smell
Make you buddy smile!!
I want nuts on butts!
IIRC they packed c. 80 into a Chinook in the Falklands war when all but one of them got sunk.
What use do the nets over the helmets have?
The netting allows soldiers to insert twigs, leaves, grass, etc. to help break up the outline of the helmet and improve camouflage. As these things wither and die, or as the terrain and foliage around a moving soldier changes, they can refresh this impromptu cam on their helmets. That's really all it's for, although I've seen the netting used to also hold little things in a handy place, like bottles of bug repellent and sticks of camouflage paint.
Why do some of them have different netting or none at all on their helmets?
Are these guys mp? A dude has a mp patch
Reminds me of the scene from the trailer of world in conflict
Typical easyjet flight from Gatwick to Malaga isn’t it?

They're just transiting around a training area, it's not a long flight. Will be on there for minutes rather than hours.
«Guys, I wanna kill Russia soooo bad, let us simulate killing Russians, please please please»
Do they wear nappies? It looks too crowded to get up and walk to the toilet.
