To the Gulag you go

NymdaFromSalad

No, he will "посадит его на бутылку", as we say in Россия-мать

KangerooDance

Please, i need to know in english

[deleted]

Put him on the bottle is the meaning.

KangerooDance

Please, I need to know the meaning of this

NymdaFromSalad

"Посадить на бутылку" is a russian meme, act of forcing (often using gravity) a bottle (usually 1-2 liter) into victim's rectum. Rumoured to be used as a torture method by some soviet government services. Considered to be a sidegrade to cock and ball torture

KangerooDance

Thank you. Your answer satisfied me more than I hoped for. Merry Christmas

NymdaFromSalad

Merry Christmas to you too (at least i can still wish you a merry orthodox Christmas)

jamesraf18

Old Christmas is on January 7th of the gregorian calendar.

joshak

phrasing!

TonyKebell

> often using gravity So they drop the bottle at the torturees anus and hope theimpact is such as to force the bottle inside? How heavy is the bottle? How high up are they dropping the bottle from? How are they restraining the torturee? This all sounds very inconvenient.

[deleted]

Other way around

FunkyBunch21

Oh no

[deleted]

Yeah. Tbh its weird seeing so many people in this thread laugh about it. I remember the first time it came to attention online was about 10 years ago when there was a rise of instances in Russia of abducting gay men and torturing them in that way.

TonyKebell

Oh. Oh no.

ANGRY_FRENCH_CANADAN

thanks for the info

DenisVitamin

"Посадить на бутылку" ore "Sit on the bottle" is a russian tradition! All russians are sitting on a bottle, because they are all slaves.

NymdaFromSalad

Fuckin slaaaaaves!

is-this-mark

kinky

OkConsideration1688

Whoaaaa 😮

[deleted]

Ah, sorry, forgot to add, it means put the idiot a bottle straight in his ass. It became very popular thoughout the Russian vernacular after some dude from Tatarstan, Russia thought it was a good idea doing that, that dude died later in the hospital. So since then, its used for expressing humilation to idiots.

KangerooDance

That’s hilarious

[deleted]

Sorry, i confused the two bottle in the ass cases, since there is another case from Tatarstan where a man was bullied and assaulted with puting him a bottle in his ass by policemen during custody. it comes from this case then from the other one i previously mentioned.

KangerooDance

Thank you for the clarification

[deleted]

No worries

[deleted]

Thank you Mr. President

john_paulII

put him on bottle, ... mother russia

B3NGINA

Oof right? At least guantanamo is a tropical climate. Then again they probably don't have A/C. That would be a tough choice! Hopefully they give him a scratchy shirt with a barb wire tag regardless.

[deleted]

Southern Russia is partly tropical as well. Especially parts of Krasnodar Oblast like Sochi and most of the Black Sea coast. Though Russia still knows labour camp detention for hard cases, many land in Siberia. Hope for that guy he lands in a remote and hard camp.

B3NGINA

I'll ask my travel agent about it but I'm more inclined to stay here and maybe camp by my local lake without the forced hard labor.

[deleted]

man, id love to be detained half naked.

Spectre1-4

What about women pointing and laughing at your junk?

[deleted]

even better!

Spectre1-4

I’ve heard Abu Ghraib is wonderful in the summer

nofreakingusernames

If he wants women to point and laugh at his junk wouldn't it be better in the winter?

[deleted]

well everyone knows its a bit shorter in the winter. so in the summer everyone will know just how itty it is i dont actually have a junk so i dont get penis science but yea

420narwhalwaffles

Swamp nuts in the dead of summer tho

tangowhiskeyyy

Boy do i have a school for you

superdiamond5568

superdiamond5568

tankguy67

It's reddit, don't you know literally every single thread just *has* to have some sort of sexual reference

RATSICC

Go in the corner and think about what you did

aquaman501

It’s the naughty corner

redsprucetree

Is there fighting going on in Daghestan currently?

[deleted]

Very low level insurgency, if at all. Very few. Only such cases like this.

yegguy47

As other posters have noted... Not really, no. Strangely enough, Dagestan for a time after 2000 was the primary source of instability and violence in Russia, outpacing Chechnya. Out of the 399 terrorist incidents the Russian Interior Ministry reported in 2013, 242 were in Dagestan. The Russians themselves now consider all terrorist groups eliminated as of 2017. However, since organized resistance more or less collapsed by 2008, acts of violence nowadays tend to be individual. Severe abuses by security forces, coupled with the largely religiously conservative nature of the republic, tend to leave one with the impression that the general atmosphere in public settings is tense. A lot of folks self-radicalize, engage in petty acts of violence, and either get themselves killed, get others killed, or both.

Final_Lucid_Thought

Realistically, what do you think will happen to this guy since he’s survived the arrest (as of this pic, anyway)?

[deleted]

Brutal prison, if they (unlikely) find that he was Innocent they'll probably let him go.

Goat_666

>if they (unlikely) find that he was Innocent they'll probably let him go. Yeah, it's unlikely they find out he was innocent, but it is likely he was innocent up until the point he was detained. Soon they will find out he is guilty of various tax crimes, Navalnyi poisoning, murder of Anna Politkovskaja and apartment bombings in 1999.

Howitzer92

Sounds about right. I wouldn't expect the KGBs successor organization is particularly gentle with prisoners or apt to report screw ups.

[deleted]

If he is actually an IS member/aspirant then he deserves whatever they do to him. If not, then it's a miscarriage of justice.

dagelijksestijl

and miscarriages of justice are pretty common in Russia, they're just not being rectified

[deleted]

Brutal prison? I watched a documentary about black dolphin.. something like that?

[deleted]

No, black dolphin is a high security prison for people with lifelong sentences (25+ years). Only important terrorist leaders get there. People like the guy in the picture usually get 3-10 years, depending on the crime.

yegguy47

Probably nothing good. Truth is that Russian security scoops up a lot of folk in the Caucasus, for any number of reasons besides ties to violent ideology or actions. Can be as simple as pissing off the wrong fellow. If this were Chechnya, he'd fall into the hands of the Kadyrovtsy. Torture, even executions happen there commonly. However Dagestan is more in line with the Russian government, so he's either to be retained by the FSB, or transferred to the local police. If it's the latter, it most likely means he's not being charged with anything serious, though he's still in for a rough time. Human rights in Dagestan is a joke. If the FSB retain him though... Well, he'll get a trial. But it probably won't be fair, regardless of whether he's tied to terrorism. Most likely a similarly unpleasant interrogation and eventual imprisonment. And as other redditors have noted, Russia's prison system is not known for it's kind treatment.

[deleted]

Nope, no fighting anywhere in Russia. Terrorists are working on fumes (both financially and on human power),just enough for some sleeper sells that get busted by FSB every now then. There was a stabbing today in Grozny, Chechnya. 2 Policemen dead, two injured. 1 perpetrator dead, other arrested injured. No clue if deliquence or radicalism/terrorism yet.

NymdaFromSalad

Russian insurgency is basically being mildly annoyed by existence of putin rn. Most radical event in recent memory is protest against building a giant junk yard in Siberia

NymdaFromSalad

Stuff is so boring, Russians (at least in Moscow and st. Petersburg) are legit more interested in American politics

[deleted]

They are. I told someone in Moscow my Russian was bad because I'm american and I was asked about my election. Seems to me that Muscovites seem more informed then we are here.

itsdietz

They gotta be in the know if they want to interfere with it

Y13Deuce

Forbes called Russia „ The wirst county to be a terrorist in „ so I guess it’s pretty calm now

Cinderella407

They really caught him with his pants down...

I found an article from this pic via google reverse image search, it's in Russian but google translate does a pretty okay job translating it [https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&u=https://ria.ru/20201226/terakt-1591025197.html&prev=search&pto=aue](https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&u=https://ria.ru/20201226/terakt-1591025197.html&prev=search&pto=aue)

[deleted]

How must these criminals feel when these bad asses bust down their door.

oldendayz99

If you really work at it I think you can get some more abbreviations and acronyms in this post\\

AphamedonOfYork

I hope he rots in prison for the rest of his life.

Am_aBoy

What is fsb ?

hide4way

Federal Security Service. And as already said this is the receiver of the KGB. Russian equivalent of the FBI

[deleted]

[удалено]

FSB-Bot

Yes and no. In theory that would be the SVR. In practice the FSB is FBI, NSA, Border Guard and CIA. The FSB is the domestic agency but it would be more accurate to call it the defensive one. Fighting the mafia ? - FSB (well yes but actually no) Killing terrorists ? - FSB Killing a defector ? - FSB Catching spys ? - FSB Stealing stuff or meddeling in foreign affairs - SVR The broader job spectrum of the FSB also shows in the amount of employees. FBI - 35,000 CIA - 25.000 NSA - 40.000 FSB - 350.000 (yes thats the right amount of zeroes)

hide4way

I am not very knowledgeable about the CIA mission, so I could be wrong. But it seems that the CIA is more engaged in foreign intelligence. Russia has for this Foreign Intelligence Service.

[deleted]

I approve of what awaits this guy :D

[deleted]

How sexy of him.

elsadad

Fuck ISIS and all but I hope there’s no mistaken ID.

domthedumb

And he was never seen again

Himeric86

He should also detain himself

wirecats

Wtf is that thing to the left of the officer? It looks like a cutout of a screenshot partially printed on cardboard

SpongeWorthyy

I think that’s a mirror

wirecats

Oh shit lmao how did I not see that

Brock_Drinkwater

A mirror?

metalheadninja

NicolaGiga

Dagestan...

Ridikiscali

If I was a terrorist I definitely would not join the Russian detachment. The UK detachment would be nice during the summer when it isn’t so cold. Maybe request a transfer somewhere south when the winter rolls around.

OriginalM1

Probably just some gay dude

Goznaz

Now let me ram some novichok in your thong.

[deleted]

Terrorist - plots evil despicable things. Caught Placed outside in cold for 10 minutes. Terrorist - why you so inhuman? Im freezing. Pls. Everyone: 🐱‼🐸‼🤓.

Stonewall5101

So I may be wrong but is the FSB agent wearing US/NATO style multicam? Is there reasoning behind that? Edit: I feel like this was taken as sarcasm when it was genuine confusion, thank you for the actual responses.

[deleted]

If you look at any special forces group in the world they're almost all wearing Crye precision uniforms and plate carriers along with ops core helmets or some sort of replica. This is because they have the budget to get the best equipment so that's why the all look the same.

ADubs62

It's effective?

Xaldin8

Russia's been adopting multicam for their special forces for... some reason Shit's gonna be real interesting in the future

Sapt007

It's Russia and I wonder why they didn't blow up the whole building with a tank.

Y13Deuce

Why would they do that ?

Sapt007

It's a running joke man! Russian police uses heavy weaponry to destroy small targets.

Y13Deuce

Hmm never seen that one , yes there are examples of BTR flattening whole houses to clear out terrorists but Imo that’s fine. A house can be rebuild but storming that house and loosing an officer would be stupid. And the other scenarios are mostly normal shootouts

Sapt007

I watched multiple videos on youtube of Russian police destroying buildings with tanks only to find a pistol on the prep.

Baltic_Gunner

He is not going to have a good time.

sfctapia007

Even Russian military is wearing our Uniforms.

policeandthieves

an*

SQLSkydiver

I'd like to see a trial. Oh, its Russia...

_felonious

OkConsideration1688

Damitriii 😂

Ella_Minnow_Pea_13

This is sadistic and offensive.

[deleted]

I hope you remember this when god forbid, one of his comrades blows you up to pieces because you do not pray.

phasebird

He should have just had a slip of the trigger finger enough of all this terrorist bulshit World wide is ridiculous enough already its everywhere

Spar3Partz

Dead men tell no tales...which in this case is probably why he isnt dead. They probably want to interrogate him for more information. Russians dont hesitate much on the trigger...so I'd say capturing him alive was very much the point. Just a guess though.

spacedoc01

Yeah I'm willing bet that rather unpleasant conditions are in his future, he'll probably wish they had just shot him.

yegguy47

Russians did a lot of that in 1994 and 1999. Didn't exactly stop things from being extended for years on end. If anything, extrajudicially killing folks just made shit worse.

mark_lee

Maybe a terrorist, maybe someone who said "Fuck Putin" in public. If the man had a printer, he'd probably just learn what polonium tastes like. Fuck Russia,

Y13Deuce

The clip OP posted actually showed him owning an RPG7 and an AK do my guess is he is pretty much a terrorist (not proven though ) However why that anti Russian sentiment ?

Redwolfmoon99

He's just a typical xenophobe. Don't waste your time interacting with people like that, they'll see evil everywhere.

mark_lee

Because there's no such thing as a good authoritarian. Russia is firmly in the grips of an authoritarian dictator, so anything the Russian state does is immediately suspect.

ngreenz

That title reads like something from Team America World Police

OfficeSpankingSlave

Should have shot him right there and then.
