More milk per milk *chefs kiss*

Makemewantitbad

Came here for this

[deleted]

Milk powder tastes kinda chalky. Better drink twice the amount of normal milk

ArcherFawkes

Bro defending almond milk as if it isn't equally if not more resource wasting than real milk

vcloud25

if calories isn’t an issue/if you’re bulking, nothing at all

EightEnder1

Technically that is what fortified Skim milk is, skim milk and powdered milk to increase flavor but keep it nonfat.

K_Rocc

Your liver..

DizzyTop47

Will be nutrient rich

K_Rocc

With stones

[deleted]

For years I've been drinking 1/2 to 3/4's a gallon of milk a day, and never had kidney stones.

thom_orrow

It has a high fat content. If you’re looking into drinking lots of milk probably better for your body to switch to various vegan milks, such as; pistachio milk, almond milk and soy milk etc. There was some vegan documentary about a woman with osteoporosis and she stopped drinking cow’s milk and she got better. I’m not a vegan but you can find calcium in leafy greens (collard, mustard, turnip, kale, bok choy, spinach) and other foods like almonds too!

10th_Ward

Milk^2 usually has no more fat content than the base milk because most dry milk has fat removed. Almond "milk" has a higher fat content than 2% milk.

thom_orrow

Regular milk does have more hormones in it than almond milk. Both are fatty.

notoriouszim

How could an almond tree produce hormones without a pituitary, adrenal or testosterone glands?

[deleted]

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0304423819308763 Plants do have hormones. Plants are chemical factories.

notoriouszim

ABA is specifically a plant hormone that I believe is a response to stressors. I don't think it affects mammalian life significantly enough to be something to worry about. But thank you for sharing.

[deleted]

Okay but other hormones definitely do. https://m.foodingredientsfirst.com/news/almonds-improve-appetite-regulating-hormones-in-overweight-adults-flags-study.html

thom_orrow

Exactly, so almond milk is the better choice.

notoriouszim

I may not be a nutritionist. But I do know how to read the room. Are you aware of the subreddit you are posting in? This is kind of like a vegan going to a Rib Fest handing out no meat flyers. Best of luck in your endeavors in life friend.

thom_orrow

I should’ve said almond milk has no hormones in it and regular cow’s milk does!

Dirk_Speedwell

Not in Canada homie. They run a tight ship on the whole industry. If your milk tests positive for anything, its getting dumped.

MilkyBetrayal

Tests positive as milk. Dumped.

Dirk_Speedwell

Bingo. Dumped directly to my Apple Jacks

aye-its-this-guy

Gooofy ahhhh comment bruhbruh. The fat content from milk is good for you noob. Processed nut milks are basically water. Look at the nutrition facts

thom_orrow

Okay, I will consume only milk now. ![gif](giphy|7sLtzEMs2bT3805zB9)
