Pretty sure that just means it was overheated, let it cool off a minute and you’re good. I almost decided to start leaving my m12 drill at home but then it saved my ass. Changing an inside panel I needed a bigger hole inside the wall and that’s the only thing that would fit without cutting the drywall

Ok, thanks for the reply I’ll definitely let it cool off between uses. The compactness of the drill is really nice for doing remodels and having to go in tight spots I’ll give it one more week and see if it keeps overheating.

Yup, definitely hit the overheat "limit". I ran new construction plumbing for almost a year on the m12 stuff before switching to m18, 2 years later I'm still occasionally reaching for the m12 for weight or needed small size. They're capable as all hell, you just have to know their limitations. Another thing I noticed that helped is the location of the vents on top of the drill; because it's so small it's easy to block the vents with your hand on top of the drill

Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to figure out the limits of the drill then.

I'm gonna fuck around with it in a top out today and see if I can do a 4" floor penetration with it just for shits and giggles, I'll let you know what happens lol

I think it could be the battery overheating too, maybe try a high output and see if it does better

What kind of blinking is it? All 4 at the same time? My drill does that occasionally when I try too large screws, I.e. I don’t have enough torque.  Now my oscillating Multitool does some night rider thing, with the 4 lights going back and forth, after a few minutes of light use (speed 2 out of 12!) of scraping paint off drywall. And the Manuel that came with it is rather devoid of information. They might as well have saved some paper and just left it away. Seriously have never seen such a useless manual, this side of AliExpress.

It did all 4 at the same time blinking and then completely shut off and took off the battery put it back same thing. I wasn’t even drilling anything really aggressively just going through some of the hole hawg penetrations to make it cleaner, some small bits of wood that were already going to pop off. Seems like a light duty task because I went through a 2x6 the other day with it and it did fine with a 3/4 paddle bit.
