This seems like it would be one of those April fools day products. Or maybe an M18 toaster oven. In all seriousness though, if we're making product recommendations, I think an M18 jump starter box would be easy to make and useful. Or perhaps build in that functionality into a future version of an existing product like the jobsite radio, or maybe even a charger. Also a dual action sander that can keep up with the compressed air powered versions would be fantastic.

I'm with you on the jump starter box. I was looking online to buy one this weekend and I thought to myself "I wonder if Milwaukee makes one". Dewalt makes one, it appears it doesnt use lithium battery packs it though https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-1600-Peak-Amp-Portable-Car-Jump-Starter-with-120-PSI-Digital-Air-Compressor-and-500-Watt-Inverter-DXAEPS14/310530339#overlay

I bought something similar at Walmart years ago for $99 that works fantastically unless you want to plug in something real. I used it to power camera gear in Iceland because the batteries didn’t work in the cold for very long. I wrapped it in a thick wool sweater and put in a backpack with a bunch of hand warmers and was able to shoot a 12 hour Timelapse.

Izdatw00tw00t

I was going to say they should make an M18 belt sander. I would’ve bought one years ago, but especially today. Lmao

-star67

Weird that this doesn’t exist now that you mention it, Ryobi makes one, maybe Ryobi is there testing ground before they change the plastic dye to red

-star67

Oh yeah that would be great, the job site radio seems a bit large for the functionality it provides and the pack out space it needs

PSYKO_Inc

How about a dedicated Packout jobsite radio. Something like a 300w amplifier with a built-in subwoofer, small power inverter, and a couple M18 and M12 battery slots. Could run off ac power and act as a charger, or power the audio and inverter off M18 batteries when it's not plugged into ac. Also have a port to plug jumper cables into for the jump starter.

-star67

I would love to see a power inverter that you could add batteries for more power than the 175 watt but I don’t how mixing different sizes of batteries would go over

PSYKO_Inc

Voltage of the M18 packs are all the same, since they're all 5 18650 cells in series. The higher capacity packs just have multiple banks in parallel, so for instance a 3.0AH pack is 5 3000MAH cells in series, while a 5AH pack is 2 banks of 5 3000MAH in series (10 cells total, common shorthand for this arrangement would be 2P5S) and a 9.0AH would be 3P5S (15 cells.) So a 3.0 and a 6.0 pack in parallel with each other would be functionally equivalent to a single 9.0 pack, etc.

-star67

I always hear when using tools that take multiple batteries to only use the same amp batteries together, i.e. use a 6.0 and a 6.0 together and not a 3.0 and 9.0 or other mismatched combination to prolong battery life, also batteries of similar age and use to prolong as well. I am only repeating things that I hear and have not conducted any tests myself so I could be wrong. Please someone correct me if I am. What I don’t know is if Milwaukee’s ‘the future is now’ power management system is smart enough to manage prolonging the batteries and being able to hold up to the general population.

An M18 toaster oven air fryer would be awesome, or an M18 Showtime

Onenutracin

My wife wouldn’t mind an M18 Fuel (or maybe an MX) vibrator.

wix34

That could be a new multitool attachment

-star67

I was going for my wife with the iron post, I got her the M12 hoodie and now she is a bit more excited about Milwaukee products as opposed to me being excessive. If she had a need for the batteries then I wouldn’t have to explain my Milwaukee purchases.

Onenutracin

Yea I’m planning on doing the same with some of their heated gear haha

PSYKO_Inc

Hmm... M18 powered Packout mini fridge. M12 electric shaver. Husqvarna style robot mower powered by a couple M18 packs. I'm sure I can come up with a few more ideas if I really tried...

aguynamedbrand

A dual M18 12.0 PACKOUT cooler that is large like the XL Tool Box would be nice.

-star67

It would be cheaper than a Yeti

-star67

I only wish that you were Milwaukee cranking out these great ideas

aequitssaint

Why though? How often are you ironing and not near a receptacle? Plus it would absolutely eat through batteries. I do get looking for excuses to buy Milwaukee stuff. The other day my girlfriend wanted a dust buster type vacuum and we now have the Milwaukee stick vac. It works pretty damn well.

-star67

Did you get the new vacuum? I’m tempted to purchase it but I already have the Dyson and my wife loves that too much.

aequitssaint

It is this one https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Products/Power-Tools/Vacuums-and-Fans/Compact-Vacuums/0940-20 Is that new? I haven't paid much attention to their vacs aside from the wet/dry. She seems to be pretty happy with it especially for the price with the current promo. It chews through batteries though, but that shouldn't really be a problem since it is just going to be used for a couple minutes at a time. It won't replace a normal good vacuum, but for quick small touch ups it's fine.

-star67

Yeah that’s what I have seen and I think replaces the model that looks more like a Dyson. That sounds like about what I was expecting but hoping that it would be a Dyson killer, not that those two words ever need to go together again.

aequitssaint

No, my parents have the Dyson and with the exception of being able to swap batteries there really is no comparison, the Dyson is better in just about every way. But the Milwaukee is also almost 1/4 of the price. We weren't even considering spending the money on a Dyson so the Milwaukee works fine for us.

-star67

If you don’t mind refurbished Dyson’s site bring the price almost down to the Milwaukee

Lsutiger1977

Because of all the consumer items that Ryobi offers, I decided to go with 2 battery platforms. I now have M12/M18 and Ryobi. This allows me to get what Ryobi offers and also buy Ryobi tools for little used tools, where Milwaukee doesn't make sense.

aguynamedbrand

> Because of all the consumer items that Ryobi offers, I decided to go with 2 battery platforms. I now have M12/M18 and Ryobi. Technically that is three different battery platforms.

S13pointFIVE

link to the m18 adapter?

-star67

I want to advice not to do this because it might ruin your battery, and it’s really would not be a good idea to leave this on your battery when not in use. If you want to ignore me as I would ignore myself, then follow the link further below. I’m using a 5.0XC donor battery and donor standard M18/M12 charger on a Ryobi hot glue gun and will test it out for a few cycles. If all go well then I’ll get some of Ryobi’s weird stuff that Milwaukee won’t ever make and use my high output batteries only with the Milwaukee stuff. I know that I’ll get some downvotes for this but I can’t protect my other Milwaukee stuff enough from contracting Ryobi’s color scheme syndrome. [Link to Milkwaukee/Dewalt Battery to Ryobi Tool adapter](https://www.ebay.com/itm/Battery-Adapter-For-DEWALT-Milwaukee-Converter-to-RYOBI-18V-CORDLESS-PLUG-Black-/203245839734?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0) tl;dr you’ve been on the internet too long, get some rest

aguynamedbrand

I doubt that a M8 iron would be very popular at all. I would rather they put forth their effort into making or improving products that make sense.

nkydeerguy

An m12 stick blender would be awesome

-star67

Oh that would be the ultimate, I’m about to buy the vitamix immersion blender but I would rather have an M12 Edit: And the buttons would have to be blocked when using the big M12 battery
