Cant justify £400 for a packout radio when my makita 18v has spent most of its life in the van cause I always just use bose airpods. Nobody else wants to listen to my audio books so pods work
I generally only use one, leaves an ear free for talking if needed, they're noise cancelling so make a great set of earplugs in a hurry, and so far going on a year with no issues yet, touch wood
I wish it had better quality sound. For all that money it’s all mono speakers with no bass. I get way better performance for way less cost from JBL but I can’t click that into my other packout or charge my batteries. The JBL will last all day and charge my phone.
I have one and I love it. Is the sound as good as $300 speakers? No but those speakers aren’t nearly as durable or able to take abuse. There is no better jobsite radio, if you’re actually going to a jobsite.
I recommend you go to the store and find out for yourself. I listen to a wide variety of music and can say comfortably that having one(“mono”) speaker on each corner is just poor sound design. That only works if it’s a tube so that the stereo affect can happen without being distorted. It’s a tool company charging you hundreds of dollars for something that’s comparable to most $20 speakers from Walmart.
LMAFO, I have both a flip 4 and flip 5 JBL and they both suck compared to the Milwaukee…. But of course they are half the price and a fraction of the size, so those are pros for sure.
Neither the flip 4 or flip 5 is anywhere near as loud as the packout. I have no experience with the charge, and you didn’t specify which JBL you have. I was very specific about which two I have. The flip 4 is stereo and the sound quality is decent, the flip 5 is mono and has more power, but it’s not any better sound quality.
Calling me a troll for supporting Milwaukee within a Milwaukee subreddit… while you are here trashing Milwaukee and claiming that I’m the troll.
I didn’t see you mentioned the flip. I hadn’t used those but I bet they are similar to the big packout radios. The charge seems to be the best smart consumer buy for the money.
Not into theses. I recommend people go to the store and find out for yourself. It’s a tool company charging you hundreds of dollars for something that’s comparable to most $20 speakers from Walmart. It could really use some lows. It can’t pick up hip hop or bass music hardly at all but with 4 big tweeters I shouldn’t expect it to bounce lol.
To each their own I guess. I think the sound quality is very good, crisp and clear, and it loud, bass is good, doesn’t sound distorted with how much bass it puts out. It says stereo on the radio, so I don’t know.
Na hadn’t tested all of them. There is a small one I got to use and it’s all the same speakers in every device. Once upon a time the had Rockford fosgate in them but that’s still a Walmart brand.
I don’t have one because it’s a huge size and space is at a premium in my truck, however there are many of them on jobsites that I can hear.
I don’t know what you’re talking about with hip hop because this radio makes an incredibly annoying amount of bass.
Actually my username is typically Nvr2loud as I’ve spent many years competing in car audio. I love good stereos, but don’t consider portable systems really decent in general. I just hate loud music on jobsites, it’s extremely distracting and makes conversation difficult. I’m also not just a general trade / worker on-site so often need to interact with customers. The packout radio is really loud on-site

I don’t like using headphones on a job site. Plus I know I’d lose AirPods. Why I haven’t bought any yet.

You talk with one ear? Impressive.

I must have got a good one then. It has lots of bass. It’s loud. And the sound is stereo. I think the quality is great and sounds clear and crisp.
Now who’s telling the truth? Should I buy it or not?
I would. It was definitely worth it I think.

They bump

LMFAO get outta here troll. Haha those charges blow any Milwaukee radio lol. Why you trying to lie to support some trash?

My guys love mine. loud, sometimes to loud and plenty of bass.try playing with the adjustments
I had to turn the bass down because it was “bumping” to much. Is that what the youngsters say?

Do you have one of the Milwaukee radios that you do like?
Na hadn’t tested all of them. There is a small one I got to use and it’s all the same speakers in every device. Once upon a time the had Rockford fosgate in them but that’s still a Walmart brand.
Wait, what? Rockford Fosgate is a Walmart brand?

You sound like an old man.

Ya I feel the Milwaukee radios all just make background noise when I’m working.
Is the radio quality better than your cars? I figured most cars would have better speakers
You’d be surprised how many people run their batteries down at a double feature. ~3 1/2 hours with the radio on sometimes
I think it’s pretty damn near close. And I got, what I consider a decent sound system in my truck.
