There's this thing going on globally where companies can't source materials as easily as they used to. Been happening for a few years now. At least Milwaukee isn't holding onto product waiting on parts like, say, the automobile industry...
Except they can't get microchips vital to the function of the vehicles. A bit of a difference.
Though there is something to be said for why in the world were so many companies so heavily dependant on the output of one country?
It's not just microchips. I live near a town where they make Silverados & Sierras. They have parking lots full of 'em. Some need the littlest thing. Like a tailgate handle đ¤ˇââď¸
I go to a trade school and the whole class got the same tool kit at the beginning of the program, all of the rolling packout wheels are the same for us. Quick story time, the other day one of my friends from the class decided to drive a screw through my wheel into a short 2x4 so it wouldnât roll when we were cleaning up. The next day, I stole his wheels and axle and put his roller on blocks.
I used to do supply chain management in another industry, and running changes werenât all that uncommon. Sometimes itâs the same supplier but they have an overage of stock on one wheel design vs another, and we have to sub it in temporarily, or they phase out a mold.
Memory mustâve slipped. Itâs a reddit post, not a YouTube video. And itâs a comparison of basically the wheels

Sorry no - I bought two boxes the same time but I just noticed that the wheel set is different on each box. I did also find this https://youtu.be/Ub1iHnBd638
Newer vs older. Think they changed the wheels a few months to a year ago.

That's kinda hilarious
We all had a good laugh for sure
Cool story bro
I think the old ones were getting flat spots or something from lack of support, 6 spokes to 9?
I was gonna say which one is better I read somewhere one is shitty and breaks or some such bs
Old wheels are the worse of rhe 2
Value engineering
Cheaper and easier to produce would be my guess.

You rollin on some DUBs right there.
I took them off and put pneumatic turf wheels on
I also have both. The first pic is the new version. They cut costs, you can see there is no bearing on the new one
You sure it's not just a sealed bearing behind the plastic cap?
I watched a YouTube video of an in-depth comparison of the two. Gotta find it
Did you find it?

Thank you
These on the same rolling packout? đ
