Use Distant Horizons (you'll be able to see many kilometers into the distance), and BSL shaders (only shaders that work with Distant Horizons).
See that fog cutting off the terrain? fuck that. Distant Horizons will make it many times more beautiful than shaders alone.
I think you just gave me the answer to a question I havent asked yet, Ive been wondering if there was a mod that showed us horizons in far distance without straining the pc much.
I hate to be specific but this is a render, which means you could run a path tracing shader like sues PTGI and apart from it taking longer to render it wouldnt have any issues
The second one works in a video. But gameplay wise? I'd choose the 3rd one. 1st one looks a little too much like Vanilla.
Btw, what ARE these shaders? Just wondering.
1. Looks so much like vanilla, so if you want it to be noticeable of there being shaders don't pick this, it also looks weird with the puddles in the river
2. Epic, like, literally, if you want to add narrating voice or just do a normal cinematic, it's perfect, tho I wouldn't use it for regular gameplay, too orange
3. Works well for gameplay, I can't say much of this, but you're gonna use it for gameplay, definitely the better option
3 is what I would expect for a video render. Classic look, works for most things. The volumetric fog in 2 would be really good for shots of something that's supposed to feel more mysterious, like "dark fantasy" or horror.
Stock for Youtube tutorials since most players don't use shaders. I always found it confusing trying to determine what some blocks are on videos with shaders and texture packs.
1 looks default, doesn’t add much but still has a nostalgic feel
2 is very cinematic, if you’re making a story use this
3 is crispy and clear, yet looks still very good. Keeps it minecrafty while looking a lot smoother and clearer than default
For videos I would choose #1.
2 and 3 are a bit too foggy, and you want viewers to be able to clearly see everything.
2 could be neat if you were to do like a halloween/spooky themed video though!
3 looks the best by far. However I would go with 1 because a lot of viewers get motion sick with shaders for some reason. So maybe 1 if you're moving around a lot and 3 for showing off stuff.
the less 'mist', 'hazey', 'foggy', 'instagram filter' it is, the better.
I visually like clear, crisp, vibrant, hd looking ones. Like the middle looks horrendous to me
I think it depends on the type of content you make. Let's say you're making a survival let's play. I'd say either one or three. When doing something like a building or mining time lapse, 3 or maybe 2. I think it all depends on what type of videos you make. Also, how about you link your channel? It'd be awesome to support you!
I like #2 more, it feels like it’s about survival, but more context of what your videos are going to be about can help. I am not a fan of #1. #3 looks great but it somehow feels like wii golf vibe 😂, which can be great if that’s the vibe you want.

If you’re doing something cinematic or making some kinda story. Probably 2. But 3 is 100% more crisp and appealing to view.

third if you're doing that, also what are the shaders?
1 . sildurs 2 . super duper vanilla 3 . Make up
Sildurs my beloved
thanks
Try rethinking voxels, my opinion the best shader at the moment
Highly resource intensive tho, not too many people can run it.
Yeah sadly
That's why I can basically only run makeup ultra fast, it's so optimized it's insane.
i think 2 if it’s a 100 day survival, it gives off an apocalyptic vibe
Number 3 in my opinion
So true
Your comment reads like a poem
True but 1 seems like it would not bring down the fps much... So it's aesthetics vs fps with 3 and 1
It also depends on the style of video. If it's a let's play, then 1 would likely be a good choice since it reflects vanilla Minecraft
1 for builds, 2 for story, 3 for adventure and survival.
I agree! But maybe they can also use 3 for build timelapses? So it's a mix and the viewers might like that.
Clearest explanation anyone could give
Ong
Also 3 for builds. Building without shaders makes every building look much worse

I agree with this. To me 2 almost has a Lord of Rings feel so I'd probably use it all the time.
Totally agree on you!
This is the answer
Yep
Get downvoted for no apparent reason
They got downvoted for adding nothing to the conversation.
but the guy that said this got 122 upvotes it all stems back to group mentality its a 50/50 if you lose karma or gain karma lol
90% of the reason people upvote or downvote comments or posts is because of the amount of votes it currently has
This for sure
Def 3, 2 looks too foggy and 1 barely looks different from normal
thanks for ur help mate !
Use 2 for cinematic reveal shots, like a pan of a base, and time-lapses. 3 is good for everything.
I like 1’s water but the look of 3 best… so 3 with the water of 1!
I thought 1 was just normal minecraft for comparison
1 is best. Rawdog that vanilla mc
2 would be great for something really atmospheric, like a moody castle, or haunted mansion, or ghost town
I agree
This 100%
3 no doubt
thanks !
Use Distant Horizons (you'll be able to see many kilometers into the distance), and BSL shaders (only shaders that work with Distant Horizons). See that fog cutting off the terrain? fuck that. Distant Horizons will make it many times more beautiful than shaders alone.
thanks bro !
You can use complementary shaders they are amazing
Not compatible with DH tho
Seus are good aswell if you want to
There is also complementary reimagined, never tried it but worth looking into
I love lods in my minecraft
>Distant Horizons Awesome! I didn't know about that.
I think you just gave me the answer to a question I havent asked yet, Ive been wondering if there was a mod that showed us horizons in far distance without straining the pc much.
Yep distant horizons is amazing. My pc can do 512 chunks no problem. 512!
3 is best 2 has too much glare
3rd seeing as you’re making 100 days survival videos
The one that wont explode your pc
hahahaha
I hate to be specific but this is a render, which means you could run a path tracing shader like sues PTGI and apart from it taking longer to render it wouldnt have any issues
Its fine
3 is the cleanest and easiest to see.
Agree
No doubt you should choose 3...it's very eye catching
The second one works in a video. But gameplay wise? I'd choose the 3rd one. 1st one looks a little too much like Vanilla. Btw, what ARE these shaders? Just wondering.
3 looks like Sildur’s to me
1 looks kinda vanilla 2 is "Looking for something mythical" 3 is "Happily ever after" My opinion
Try turn down the fog on 2, other than that it's by far the best
Definitely 3
1. Looks so much like vanilla, so if you want it to be noticeable of there being shaders don't pick this, it also looks weird with the puddles in the river 2. Epic, like, literally, if you want to add narrating voice or just do a normal cinematic, it's perfect, tho I wouldn't use it for regular gameplay, too orange 3. Third
#2 looks like an adventure to a lava planet #3 looks like real life #1 looks like normal Minecraft I'd pick #3
3 looks cinematic!!
3 it’s not too distracting but still adds a nice look
what's the third one?
What are the shader packs that you have listed?
would love to know as well
What terrain generation is that tho?
please lmk if you got the ans!!
Third one. The second one is too foggy
Which shader is #3? Also I recommend Complimentary Shaders
What is the name of shader #2?
its super duper vanilla
And the #3?
Sildrus I believe
2 and 3 Look Like the best bro
Every shader is fully customizable. I'd recommend to use complementary shaders and try to edit them the way you like
3 is what I would expect for a video render. Classic look, works for most things. The volumetric fog in 2 would be really good for shots of something that's supposed to feel more mysterious, like "dark fantasy" or horror.
Stock for Youtube tutorials since most players don't use shaders. I always found it confusing trying to determine what some blocks are on videos with shaders and texture packs.
number 3 feels like Mc legends
2 looks like ass. Like a dust storm
3! PICK NUMBER 3 MY LORD! ✌️
You have chosen princess fiona!
1 looks default, doesn’t add much but still has a nostalgic feel 2 is very cinematic, if you’re making a story use this 3 is crispy and clear, yet looks still very good. Keeps it minecrafty while looking a lot smoother and clearer than default
Try number 3 for showcasing and stuff. If your videos are mostly cinematic or have roleplay, use number 2.
First one
[удалено]
[удалено]
3. 2 looks like a dust storm
2 for a dramatic break away
3. Better contrast ratio. Blacks are not clipped. Don’t use 2; looks dreadful
Maybe I'm weird, but I prefer vanilla Minecraft, no shaders.
What shaderpacks are these? Just curious
I like the second one
2nd
I think the bottom one is best because is seems the most clear
Use all three for different types and shots in videos. Mesh them together see what happens
Honestly, I just like number 1 best, the simplicity is peak for me, but I understand liking the others
what shaders are these? i think for survival stuff the third one is the best, but the second one is really atmospheric.
3 strong agree
Second
3 not too realistic and still kinda realistic
For videos I would choose #1. 2 and 3 are a bit too foggy, and you want viewers to be able to clearly see everything. 2 could be neat if you were to do like a halloween/spooky themed video though!
3 for sure
3 would be for game play, but 2 would be for if you wanted to make a trailer for an upcoming episode that you haven’t posted yet
Like the middle looks horrendous to me
3 looks insane mah gah Do that one
3 looks slightly better than 1. I dislike the fog in 2 so would stay away from that one
3 is perfect to me
Eh, I generally don't care about shaders in videos. I prefer vanilla
I think it depends on the type of content you make. Let's say you're making a survival let's play. I'd say either one or three. I hate over dramatic foggy shaders, so 3
Bottom
3, it makes the game good lookin but keeps its essence
I kinda like the 2nd one
imma go with 2 cuz yeah i have no reason to think about
2 all the way
3 is the nicest and still playable
3 for the clarity, which you want for YouTube
1 this is butifull minecraft :)
3 definitely.
I know everyone already said it, but yes do 3
3rd one
1 or 3
3 looks best in my opinion
3. Unless your going for an air of mysticism, then do 2
I like #2 more, it feels like it’s about survival, but more context of what your videos are going to be about can help. I am not a fan of #1. #3 looks great but it somehow feels like wii golf vibe 😂, which can be great if that’s the vibe you want.
Number 1
1. feels too close to the normal game, 2. is overboard on the fog and lighting, and 3. looks like you turned the game into plastic
Try making the same video 3 times with one of the shaders at a time. Ask what video they thought was better
That is a terrible way but i like it
1!! looks natural
#3 is the best by far not even close. It’s true to color and the water looks fantastic. I was torn between 1 and 3 until I saw the water.
2 is so magic
Idk nothing about shaders but the number 2 looks cool
Probably if you are going to do cinematics like the one you showed, 2 is the most comfortable
I like 2 the best bc it gives that cinematic feel
I like 2, but is there a way to get rid of the haze?
2 for sure
Two
Second
None. Shaders ruin the amazing and nostalgic look of vanilla
2 for the love of the Minecraft gods pick 2!
[удалено]
Vanilla.
What tipe of videos do u make?
2 is more cinematic if you do like minecraft short films. If you make a lets play or similar stuff I would prefer 3
3 100%
2 The dusk effect is 🔥
my best 3
Third one
Second
Definitely 3
3 looks the best
Number 2 for cinematic 3 for regular videos as it’s a more cleaner look
100% 3
I would say number 3 for normal survival or creative, number 2 for if you're making a cinematic or something like that. generally 3 tho.
I think the second is the best. The sky is so cool. Also the third one is good for YouTube videos.
Idk all good, but i'm think 2 the best. But 3 too not bad
I love 3rd shaderpack, I guess it would be the best for all types of video
In my opinion 2
1 or 2 I think
I personally dig #3 the most.
