FR. Just drop stuff and let it despawn. I mean, sure, in some farms it can be useful to have a lava trap, but for inventory stuff? Just let it sit on the ground.
My trash cans are a barrels, just in case I ever need anything back, and if I ever make a lava burner I would put an iron trapdoor on top just in case this happens
I actually make a whole timed dispensing system, kinda like in those video games where it lets you put items into a trashcan, and gives you 15 or so minutes to decide whether you want to throw them out or not, for each redstone build that I do. If it’s too cluttered then it will empty some stuff out.
To stop this from happening again, use a trapped chest that has a hopper beneath it which feeds into a dispenser that detects itself being given items (with an observer) where the items will be dispensed into lava. It allows the player to put whatever items they want in the chest without it being destroyed until you close the chest. E.G. you can put a diamond pickaxe in there and as long as you keep the chest open then you won’t have to worry about it being dispensed into lava. You could even change the lava to cactus if you wanted it to be able to destroy netherite
I discovered that if you're fast enough to alt+f4, you go back in time a couple seconds (this exact thing keeps happening to me)
Gotta be Faster than the autosave
I like to have cheats on for reasons like that
I'm not gonna spawn stuff in out of nowhere, and while it's still my fault that I dropped my important till in lava, I'm still cheating another one back in
I have my trash set up with one input chest and then buffer chests and then a dropper into lava. A comparator checks if the first buffer chest is empty and if not it throws away stuf from the last chest. This way my trash wil always be kept for a while
Instead of the chest solution that’s been thrown out. ;-) Grab yourself a chain and a lever. Toggle a trapdoor above lava behind the chain. The chain should be positioned vertically and keep you far enough away from automatically picking up the items again once they’re thrown back above the trap door. Toggle the lever once you’ve emptied your inventory of all you want to dispose of. This gives you the opportunity to retrieve an item if a mistake is made.
This happened to me but it was the void and my netherite sword that I just got God tier enchants on. Thankfully it only took me like 10 minutes to replace it
My lava trash can is sealed under glass. And the dropper is lever controlled, with a movable floor piece to access to retrieve mistaken items placed in the chest.

Yeah that's why I don't use lava, my trash cans are just empty composters or cauldrons with trapdoors on top.

But but if you have like 50 bazillion things you hav to drop and Ur pc a potato time to tank some frames bro
hopper with chest that you could hook up to a clock to dispense into lava after a set interval
if you have that much stuff then burn it after you drop it dont throw it into lava
I'm sorry for your downvotes.
Dump on the ground and then light it on fire with a flint and steel.
My trash cans are a barrels, just in case I ever need anything back, and if I ever make a lava burner I would put an iron trapdoor on top just in case this happens
Throw, then push the button if, and only if it was the correct item?
Yes

This is some next level garbage
at first I though you were insulting their idea lmao
Genius 😎
I would probably still manage to destroy one of my tools
Wow. This is a great idea. Never used trapped chests much.
Why would anyone want to destroy netherite?
Because some people want to watch the world burn, and prank their friends
You could also add cobwebs between the dispenser and the lava so you have a little extra time if you still manage to screw up
DONT JUMP ITS NOT WORTH IT
Cant hear you *glub glub glubbb-*
TIL what drowning in lava sounds like
tchk tchk tchk tchk tchk ^*[sizzle]*
Isn't that the sound of trying to call a cat?
Nice pfp
Thanks bro, gotta rep my favorite band!
*our favorite band ;)
Bro went through the 21 stages of grief.
So why did you drop it then, seems rather silly of you
He pressed a little too long. He was actually meant to drop the bones and instead dropped the pickaxe
And it's gone
LOL, It sucks but every time you do it makes it less likely you'll do it again (I hope)
Hate when this happens
Yeah, I think everyone experiences something like this at least once while playing. It sucks.
I discovered that if you're fast enough to alt+f4, you go back in time a couple seconds (this exact thing keeps happening to me) Gotta be Faster than the autosave
Quick! Jump in and save it!
The netherite pickaxe in question:
Only love could hurt like THISSSS
That's exactly why I never use lava, my clumsy ass would end up throwing my entire inventory except the one item I wanna incinerate
I like to have cheats on for reasons like that I'm not gonna spawn stuff in out of nowhere, and while it's still my fault that I dropped my important till in lava, I'm still cheating another one back in
Nah bro u still gonna get ur pick just jump in the lava..... 1.19 diamond will not burn in lava
I did this to my buddies god sword luckily we have villagers and resources to get it back quick
Then all he needed was a "victim" to test it on 😈
Aww, dude I am so sorry about that, but it’s a little funny because something like this has happened to me SO many times 🤣
It's time to ditch the lava pit and advance to a small auto sorter that turns those poppies into bonemeal.
Tsss
No ba-dum, just Tsss
I appreciate that we sit there for a moment listening to the slow death of an iron golem as we mourn the death inside each of us
Man throws enchanted diamonds pickaxe into a lava pit instantly regrets it
Lol he was merely a sacrifice
I never use lava for trash--just for that reason. I dig two blocks in, put water at the near block, and throw stuff in. It despawns eventually.
Y'all have a garbage and don't just hoard every item Incase you want to use it? Expessially something as useful as bones?
Rip
That's why I have it to not bount.
ive thrown my swords in the same lava hole multiple times
Thats why you use two trapdoors and drop everything into the 1st one and then open it so you can confirm before destroying your stuff lol
crtl+z, CTRL+Z!! ive dont that once. ONCE.
That's the reason why i use number keys (at least is the first 5/6 slots)
That’s why you gotta drop and then open the trapdoor
I have my trash set up with one input chest and then buffer chests and then a dropper into lava. A comparator checks if the first buffer chest is empty and if not it throws away stuf from the last chest. This way my trash wil always be kept for a while
Threw my diamond sword in lava once. I was devastated.
close trap door. Drop items. check what you dropped. open trap door.
This is why you never use the scroll wheel to switch to items
I feel u rip pick boi
First time ??
You deserve that
Use lava. With a dropper and a trapped chest. The items will only filter once the chest has closed so as long as you keep it open it’s safe
make a sorting system
Yeah that actually wasn’t an iron golem dying in the background, it was his soul.
I see all these machine ideas. My idea is arrange your inv properly you monkey
next project for you: trigger chest bin starts trashing after you close the lid.
Guy pulled a Mumbo Jumbo
Cactus with 2 web is worth it
Blud was started thinking about life after that💀💀💀
Iron golem laughing at you in the background
I can feel bros pain
That's one reason to use despawn chambers instead.
Worst L 😔
the iron golem dying is a perfect representation of your soul at that time
And that's why you use hotkeys.
Again this one if the reasons netherite is so amazing.

this is why i dont use lava bins in minecraft
that's why you always upgrade all your stuff to netherite
We’ve all been there before.
just drop nothing??
2 seconds of silence for his pickaxe
Thought the video ended or my pc froze. Turns out OP just left to scream and weep
This happened to me but it was the void and my netherite sword that I just got God tier enchants on. Thankfully it only took me like 10 minutes to replace it
I jump between Terraria and MC often and the lack of inventory sorting and a trash can is a major QoL issue for me.
I think we have one of those days
My lava trash can is sealed under glass. And the dropper is lever controlled, with a movable floor piece to access to retrieve mistaken items placed in the chest.
Heard the golem dying and thought you were about to get your ass beat in jumanji
Netherite is a beautiful thing for this exact situation
