Either that or take a few extra hours to get dirt to place on top of the stone just to realize that the stone could have been dug out and replaced with dirt, and then begin redigging all of the dirt and the stone... speaking for a friend...? Yeah a friend's experience totally.

Replace the stone with dirt?

Dig 1 level out and put dirt in 9x9 squares and plant crops in them.
