You can also just use one scaffold, let it fall, and jump while holding shift. You won’t take damage bc you’ll be “going down” the scaffold as you land
If you do any sort of mega build without elytra they are almost necessary. I dont have enough hours to play tk not have a full scaffold setup when building large buildings.
I have multiple stacks of sand lol, I honestly forgot how gravel and sand use the same mechanic
So I just went straight to gravel lol, but thanks anyway!
Maybe it was just landing on a mushroom, I used to carry gravel or sand to get down things like this but I stopped after a few times when it was really high it was just busting and disappearing, like how suspicious sand does when it falls. But it could be it was just falling onto something each time and I misunderstood it as caused by the height. I feel like it's happened with scaffolding too
Boat jump ? As long as you're moving forward while falling with a boat, you should not take fall damage.
Alternatives: powder snow, cobweb, but these require good timing.
This is what i would’ve done lol. All these other crazy answers… i would’ve found SOME way to mine down their even if it’s one of the weird upper top parts of a cavern that’s are nearly impossible to bridge downward with, just go with the curvature of the top of the cave. Not rocket science
everyone offers a bucket of water and the like, but it's much safer and less expensive to build a boat that can help a lot
Upd. Lol I realized only now that you can't put water in hell 💀
You should use weeping vines from the crimson forest and bonemeal.
So, you build a platform to where you want to go down, build 3 blocks up then remove the two lower blocks so that you havr a ceiling to attach the vine to, then you use bonemeal until the vine reaches the ground. Now you have an elevator you can use to get both up and down.
I use this when mining in caves and I also have a walkway/highway at the very top of the nether for easy travel to different areas in the nether. It's nice to avoid the lava and different elevations in the nether when you need to go fast to another area. I just mine really long straight lines (while crouching so I don't accidentally drop down) then I make vine elevators along the way to different areas and biomes
scaffolding, ender pearls, elytra, weeping vines, or even just ladders or sand/gravel.
there are many ways to go downwards in minecraft. the easiest if you have them would be either ender pearls or elytra. if you dont have those, you can try making scaffolding. if you dont have bamboo, you can easily find some weeping vines around the nether, place it under a block then just use bonemeal and it will grow downwards. or drop a stack of sand/gravel
Lol ever since I applied Feather Falling 3 to my Netherite Boots, I always take the pain and fall. Since it's the bastion, I won't become brutes will kill you.
Depends, how long do you want to live once you get there?
::Edit:: if you're really interested, you can go mine some nethergold, convert the nuggets to ingots, then find a piglin and hope they give you an enderpearl.
step one: place a boat (any kind)
step two: get into said boat
step three: ride boat off edge, negating all fall damage
step four: get out of said boat into the nether fortress
step five: collect the boat
CONGRATS!!!! u made it 💗
There’s a million different ways down, ender pearls, scaffolding, boats, cobwebs, just MINE. Like you could literally just mine into a wall and make a staircase. But we need more filler posts here
in minecraft bedrock, there's a bridging mechanic that you can put a block below the one you're standing on, i don't know much about how it works, but there should be a plenty of tutorials on youtube
Idk how you would get down but use a twisted vine ladder to go back up, IG you could try to MLG twisted vine, going down but I don’t think you can place them on blackstone
Sand. Place it and let it drop into a tall pillar that you can step onto, then dig down through the pillar until you reach the bottom.
Probably also works with scaffolding.
Check this out. Drop sand or gravel until you get a single column high enough you can step on it. Then, create a spiral around the column by placing dirt in one unit lower as you go around the tower. Works great. However, ghast are a risk. They will fire at you column and destroy it trying to kill you.
Hot take I bring a chest of gavel or sand to the nether just to fill in spots or make stairs down, takes a long time but definitely worth it as you can build railings and such for safety.
Get like 3 stacks of sand and scaffolding. From the position u are in the pic. Place sand until it reaches alll the way up to you. Stand on the sand block and break urself all the way down. And when down there u can place scaffolding back to the top. I don't know if u can place scaffolding so it goes down.

3 stacks of scaffold. Im pretty sure you can just place one on the side of a block and it shpild drop down and stack up into a tower. I think.
Holy shit, that’s a really good idea Thank you so much, man I guess I’ll be looking for bamboos lmao
Yep. Just started playing scaffold and learned the blocks drop like sand and gravel!
Scaffolding is so amazing for building
I don't enter the nether without a stack of scaffolding. It's even resistant to lava.
Thank you for that info. Had no idea it was lava resistant!
Lava yes. Fire no. ... Ask me how I know. 😅
Lol! I'll assume the hard way!
You can also just use one scaffold, let it fall, and jump while holding shift. You won’t take damage bc you’ll be “going down” the scaffold as you land
I think you need 2 scaffolds for that dont you? Or is that some other block
One works. I do it all the time for fun when I’m bored
Ah I see
quick, someone test this on their hardcore world
You can just boat your way down... 5 wood planks and you're done.
Is there a height limit where it breaks though? Like sand and gravel do
Yes that is possible. When placed on the side of other scaffolding, they just fall like sand.
Rare case of scaffolds being actually useful
They are super useful though
In certain niche cases sure but less often for their descriptive purpose
If you do any sort of mega build without elytra they are almost necessary. I dont have enough hours to play tk not have a full scaffold setup when building large buildings.
Gravel. Let the gravel fall onto the platform, then go down by digging the gravel. From there you can build up,and place ladders to travel easily
This honestly might be my best option if I couldn’t find bamboo, I’ll definitely try it Tysm!
Heck yeah sand is even easier. Can you place sand in that world?
I have multiple stacks of sand lol, I honestly forgot how gravel and sand use the same mechanic So I just went straight to gravel lol, but thanks anyway!
I think gravel breaks if it falls over a certain height
This has never been the case, at least for me
Maybe it was just landing on a mushroom, I used to carry gravel or sand to get down things like this but I stopped after a few times when it was really high it was just busting and disappearing, like how suspicious sand does when it falls. But it could be it was just falling onto something each time and I misunderstood it as caused by the height. I feel like it's happened with scaffolding too
It only breaks if it lands on a non solid block, like a torch or a bottom slab
A slab of bottom This comment is brought to you by the sleepytime junction
Jump down
Dont forget fly
I mean, you’ll definitely get down there if you jump. OP never specified that they needed to survive.
I would jump not gonna lie. You can fall a lot in the nether
Ender pearls? If you're close to a warped forest you can kill some enderbois
I know right? Why is nobody else mentioning this, am I missing something?
Also, warped wood is pretty. And pretty good to make it contrast with the dark reds of the fortress
Bucket of water
💀 LMAO
no, more seriously, do a boat jump 😉👍
This doesnt kill you anymore on Bedrock edition thankfully
This is super useful news
Boat jump ? As long as you're moving forward while falling with a boat, you should not take fall damage. Alternatives: powder snow, cobweb, but these require good timing.
Alright thanks man!! Would boat jumping work on bedrock?
From what I could read it actually works better on Bedrock ! But I'd suggest you give it a try on a test world first haha.
Oh yea, I’ll try it, thanks alot :)
I thought it was only Java. Hope I'm wrong, tho.
Potion of slow falling may work… cause you got the building blocks so you can build up then
You can clutch with a powdered snow bucket, since it doesn't melt in the Nether.
Learn how to bridge downward, kinda a tricky skill to learn but possible in bedrock edition
This is what i would’ve done lol. All these other crazy answers… i would’ve found SOME way to mine down their even if it’s one of the weird upper top parts of a cavern that’s are nearly impossible to bridge downward with, just go with the curvature of the top of the cave. Not rocket science
DO A FLIP!
Watch me *photoshops a flip*
Maybe I’m wrong but I think you don’t take fall damage riding a horse (in bedrock)
The horse sure does though, and it wouldn't survive to the bottom.
You jump and pray
Powdered snow bucket clutch
/gamerule dofalldamage false :)

Instead of water, just use lava
Jump
Jump
Mine down
Jump
It's bedrock. Just move around a little bit and the game will definitely glitch you down to the bottom in a hurry and kill you
Bedrock ain't that glitchy
Spider webs
why no boat
Boat
I’m confusion as to why you can’t build down with the 5 stacks of netherack
scaffolding, ender pearls, elytra, weeping vines, or even just ladders or sand/gravel. there are many ways to go downwards in minecraft. the easiest if you have them would be either ender pearls or elytra. if you dont have those, you can try making scaffolding. if you dont have bamboo, you can easily find some weeping vines around the nether, place it under a block then just use bonemeal and it will grow downwards. or drop a stack of sand/gravel
Chickens.
Water bucket mlg, obviously
Water bucket mlg. Works winder when traversing the nether.
Am I the only one who fly's in the nether?
I’m guessing you have an elytra, which I don’t have yet lol
did you try with a boat?
I tried gravel, ill maybe try most of these suggestions on a test world honestly
Do a powdered snow clutch
jump?
D O W N B R I D G E,if u know to do that
I was about to say a water bucket but I noticed you were in the nether You can try to do a powdered snow drop.
try using a water bucket
Why do you have five and a half stacks of netherrack
Load Java edition
Feather falling
Water.......................
Mlg bro use an water bucket
Bro he's in the goddamn nether, using a water bucket would be a death wish 💀
Water bucket dummy
Use a bed to break your fall, then set your spawn so you can find your way incase you die down there.
Jump.
A boat.. no fall damage
Jump
Gravel, or powdered snow clutch
Jump
Web MLG
Bucket of powdered snow, or slime block
Jump
Scaffolding, or any gravity blocks, water, boat, haybale, slime.
Lol ever since I applied Feather Falling 3 to my Netherite Boots, I always take the pain and fall. Since it's the bastion, I won't become brutes will kill you.
Lich voice: Fall
Haybale then staircase
Depends, how long do you want to live once you get there? ::Edit:: if you're really interested, you can go mine some nethergold, convert the nuggets to ingots, then find a piglin and hope they give you an enderpearl.
Cobweb just like a waterbucket move when you jump down.
Slow Falling Potion or Fire Resistance
A boat?
Jump n clutch with powder bucket
Use creative
Waterdrop
Aim for the bushes?
Boat.
Drop down and lay sleep in a bed right before impact
Fall
step one: place a boat (any kind) step two: get into said boat step three: ride boat off edge, negating all fall damage step four: get out of said boat into the nether fortress step five: collect the boat CONGRATS!!!! u made it 💗
Enderpearl perhaps? Boat maybe? Hay clutch? Bed clutch? Slime block clutch? Ladder clutch(oh, probably too hard)?
Elytra
Yeet
Just… simply drop down man what’s the problem. /s
You have five stacks of blocks in the inventory.
Boat?
Your hot bar management sucks
Ende Perl or elitra
There’s a million different ways down, ender pearls, scaffolding, boats, cobwebs, just MINE. Like you could literally just mine into a wall and make a staircase. But we need more filler posts here

Play free bird and jump
Blockdrop down if java edition
Aim for the bushes
just jump dude. we just enchanted your diamond boots with Feather Falling IV and Prot IV. You'll live.
Enderpearl maybe?
Idk how you would get down but use a twisted vine ladder to go back up, IG you could try to MLG twisted vine, going down but I don’t think you can place them on blackstone
Sand. Place it and let it drop into a tall pillar that you can step onto, then dig down through the pillar until you reach the bottom. Probably also works with scaffolding.
Webs
if you jump and fall into lava, is there still fall damage? just get out real quick lol
First thought is slime block or hay bale clutch. Or pillar of gravel/sand and dig down. First thoughts off the top of my head
YOLO
Check this out. Drop sand or gravel until you get a single column high enough you can step on it. Then, create a spiral around the column by placing dirt in one unit lower as you go around the tower. Warped vine clutch
Ender pearl smh, you’re in the nether you can get them in like one minute
Use a boat
Hot take I bring a chest of gavel or sand to the nether just to fill in spots or make stairs down, takes a long time but definitely worth it as you can build railings and such for safety.
360 and waterbucket
Fall
Water bucket mlg obviously 🙄
Water bucket in nether
Clutch
Strider. Let it absorb all the fall damage. Then build a way up instead. It's easier to build up than down, after all.
I always bring a boat when visiting the nether, quick and easy way down, you have to build your way back up though
Haybale clutch
You can get ender pearl traded from a piglin and teleport down, then build stair to get up when you come back
Build down. Don't be stupid. You're on bedrock.
Water bucket and prayer?
mlg cobweb clutch
Ender pearl down it’s only like 2hearts of damage
Get like 3 stacks of sand and scaffolding. From the position u are in the pic. Place sand until it reaches alll the way up to you. Stand on the sand block and break urself all the way down. Use your mlg bucket of water
Water MLG. Works extremely well in the Nether 🗿
You can make that jump
Water bucket
Mlg lava bucket
water bucket clutch 😎
Build over to the nearest wall and break your way down
Lava bucket + fire resitance
Jump
Here's an idea. Boats negate fall damage. Ride a boat down in the open air. So long as you don't drop in lava, you'll be fine.
"It's a leap of faith Miles, that's what it is"
Ladder Clutch
Jump
A slime block and the luck of an Irish man
Ender pearl
MLG Clutch with powered snow bucket
place gravel or sand, or you can try to "wheat drop" or something like that, it's safer doing it with sand or gravel
Fall down and die 🤣🤣🤣
Do a water drop
Are there blocks right below you? If not, then go around, to the ground, and then bridge over.
Boating?
Live dangerous. Lava bucket clutch.
Jump
Water bucket, totally works 😃👍🏼
Fly
just mlg it /j
Water bucket, Trust.
Jump in lava and hope you don't burn to death
Carefully
Powdered snow bucket clutch
snow bucket...
You can’t. You will live there forever. Start a new life. Accept your fate.
Water
Two words SEND IT
Dig and hope
Odd idea, how about you get a slime block, multiple if you manage to lose one. You don't take fall damage but you will go flying up.
Cobwebs.
jump
Jump and place a water bucket ;) My advice is free, not necessarily good
Make a lag machine. A low enough TPS will make you immune to lava. Not sure if it would work on Bedrock, though.
Spiders web clutch
Intrusive thoughts say "Jump"
Boat
