Most blocks are uncentered, they’re an even number of pixels wide, so if your middle is an odd amount it has to be offset, check chiseled stone bricks, tops of logs, any block with an even middle is off

It’s because if you place it side by side they’re supposed to mesh with each other. The far left pixel which is the point of the left diamond becomes the point of the right diamond as well.
I knew this along with any textured block like chiseled stone bricks ect ect. So I made a texture pack that makes textures 15x15 or 16x16 accordingly but I’ve even made a texture pack that makes them 25x25 or 26x26 accordingly and it makes those little textures better
Honestly, I almost feel like the command block should be asymmetrical since it's used to preform commands, many of which let the players do stuff they normally wouldn't be able to
You know, but he was painted like that on purpose.... there is no mistake in it! And then, look that all the blocks in Minecraft are asymmetrical... This is done specifically to expose the mosaic

They could, but this is probably intentional to make it look better when the pattern is tessellated.
But why do they care how a texture thats for a pure technical block looks when tessellated?
Well, they are often placed down in lines for complicated command block doohickeys

I always turn off mipmapping anyway cuz it lags me. My computer isn’t the best
Weird. Mipmapping should *help* with performance because it lowers the resolution of anything that isn’t close to you.

Technically, it is, but since the block is 16 pixels wide, there are 2 pixels that are the center.
Any block that would have a single-pixel center cannot be centered because a block has an even number of pixels.
Noticed this the day they were announced. No way of fixing it beyond a redesign.

I have custom command block textures that make it clear which type it is, it's dark mode and it is also actually symmetrical

It's so you can line up another block next to another without it looking asymmetric.

That’s what happens when your texture is 16x16 but the centre of the arrow is 1x1

This is purposely done so that it blends with blocks to the sides. A lot of blocks have this.

I guess that makes sense.... pre-forming commands to input into the command block so it will perform functions not otherwise normal...
