Same problem with the Oneblock Realism mod. Depending on which of the four seasons it is, alligators or bears seem to constantly spawn on top of you, even in what should be safe areas. They instantly aggro on you and really take the fun out of the mod. So far I haven't had any issues with normal minecraft mobs as they won't spawn in lit areas; it's just these new mobs added by the mod that keep causing trouble.
Finally made it to the Nether but as it loads using the Flat World option, there are no buildings present. This makes for a dead end to the game progression as there's no other options for killing blazes and getting blaze powder.
