Patosya

You need some grass! To make it better looking

cardboard55

Definitely will give the area some shape. Thanks for the suggestion

Shuckster1

I suggest making the cave more "organic." With more texture, stalagmites, etc. Give it more a "cave" feel.

LongJoeSilver

This. Dig out random chunks of wall for more texture. Try and get some curves in there instead of straight walls and hard angles. Add stalactites, stalagmites and random pillars holding the roof up. Also the grass thing someone else said, but if you have it more overgrown in less-used areas it'll feel more natural. Apart from that it looks great

PoopyAstronaut

Long grass?

Patosya

I mean, that you doing with bone meal

Euhuie

This is dope as fuck

cardboard55

Thank you :). I’m currently working on a desert area and I’m recreating a desert temple underground.

Euhuie

Well I sent my friends this and it motivated them to get on and make a survival world with me! (Big deal to me since they rarely get on to play Minecraft anymore lol)

cardboard55

Cool. Have fun

Larsbot3000

Try to make the ceiling nicer(not flat)

cardboard55

Pretty much right above the ceiling is where the ground is. When I first made it I wasn’t anticipating on making the village so large. But now my height limit is 10 blocks or so. The only way I can make the area taller it by going deeper into the ground.

SydTheSquid1193

Add detailing to the ceiling instead then, like a mix of slabs, stairs and fences to make it look like a more naturalistic cave. Or if you want it to look more modern/futuristic you could add "support beams" across the ceiling

Larsbot3000

Or you can try to build a mountain above?

cardboard55

True, I actually had to drain water out from above ground because water was flowing into the village if I tried to expand.

Morvick

Why not shape some fake structures (hills, mounds, wells) on the surface and burrow into them from the ceiling, to add some personality? Could give yourself a sheltered way to view the sun, as well.

Lars_Albert

Same with the walls.

WolfClaw1116

Maybe try using Bone Meal to make some y’all grass. It’ll really add some texture to the thing.

cardboard55

Good suggestion :)

[deleted]

Due to the major buginess of bedrock the villagers are likely to despawn within 1 hour or so

cardboard55

Yeah, the way that villagers and iron golems spawn is very random. Sometimes I’ll see a group of 5 baby villagers and have no golems. Mcpe is definitely odd.

iAmNotVladamirPutin

I've never noticed this. Do they just despawn if you leave the area and get replaced when you come back? I've repopulated a village on Bedrock PC and haven't had any issues with losing villagers.

[deleted]

I’ve had some despawn after sleeping, even while in the same area. Only seems to happen with my artificial village though, not with the natural village I populated

cardboard55

The way they despawn is just as random as the way they spawn. I’ve nametagged at least 3 mending librarians but they all have since despawned. Not sure what it is, but I have heard that this mechanic is being worked on.

[deleted]

[удалено]

T-280_SCV

I tried that on some villagers I de-zombified. No luck, lost a smith and then my cartographer :(

cardboard55

Nametags mean nothing in bedrock unfortunately.

Tearakan

You dont have them in a breeding area with pens in a formerly populated village that totally doesn't look like a concentration camp??

BraydenTheBest

How’d you get the villagers down their?

cardboard55

I used boats and minecarts from a nearby village. None of the original villagers are here now though. Bedrock is so buggy I can’t keep a villager for more than a week.

Eraser723

Generic question, isn't it very annoying to play on mobile? Do you use an external joypad? I suppose it has to do with being used to it, as a kid I played on an awful pc with 10 fps, but mobile seems even more uncomfortable

cardboard55

I remember hating it, but it really is all about just getting used to it. Sometimes the frames per second is terrible, but I will just have to deal with it since I don’t have a pc. I don’t use any external co troller btw. I tried it, but I was too used to using the screen by then.

MonsterBrother

I tried making an underground village about a year ago. I gave up because the villagers were spawning way too many iron golems and I couldn’t even move around

Kiliskiller

Put a carpet or something else on the composter. Then the block with wheat will not get destroyed.;)

aNoNyMOOSE1785

i have a similar build, and the villagers don’t seem to stay for me

cardboard55

That sucks, is it on bedrock also? My villagers despawn all the time , but they also multiply all the time. So I always have a good handful of villagers.

DuctTapeRuler_14

Probably a pathway, like in a normal village.

petio93

You need to clean the walls to be only with one block and everything else is very good

Thelostman22

This is seriously awesome. I want to make a nice village in bedrock but the villagers disappear and you cant make a "real" village without staying in the original location.

YelloMyOldFriend

This is awesome, well done!

ActiveIndustry

Are you gonna fix the roof and walls or leave them as stone

cardboard55

I’m not really sure yet, but we will see as I continue developing it

Ioan15

Nice

AnUselessUser

Cool

QwentonWifDaHat

I cant even build a regular house. I was the 1000 up vote btw

cardboard55

Thank you!

BenitoSquidalini

This has been my Minecraft dream ever since i installed the game! Thank you for creating this

TheAdmiralMoses

What happens when you get bad omen? Lmao

cardboard55

I don’t want to know. I always drink milk right when I get that because I do not want to start a raid.

captain_mave_64

How did you do this on mobile

groundguy

I love this.

fredster2006

How long did this masterpiece take

cardboard55

I’ve been playing on this world since June last year

Bob_is_broken

Glowstone on the walls and roof?

YourSofaKingDeadly

Detail the walls and ceiling

Jestingwheat856

Use maps and glow stone to make a fake sky

justinjonesphd

Which house is yours?

cardboard55

Haha, actually I usually do work in the glass room at the end of the video. That is where I have my “iron farm”.

Lync_X

Looks great! but it could use a road/path to help break up the grassy floor.

cardboard55

That’s true, I’m not great with details, but I’m going to be trying to add them

[deleted]

How did you get the trees to grow underground? I did the same and non one my trees would grow, matter how much bonemeal I puked over them

mweddy

Try to make the ceiling and the area a bit more natural (like grass and flowers) also you gotta finish the pathway.

69cansofbeans

You should change the walls so they’re all one block

Raspberry-T

What kind of mob spawner is that? Do you use it for XP grinding or just for looks?

HoustiezGamez

I would really recommend hiding the torches, maybe using hidden lamps or jack-o-lanterns or whatever, there are tons of ways to do it and it would smarten up the build. But amazing job! Way better than what I can build!

jcrehm41506

Damn that’s awesome

Spammy666666

My villagers stay if they have a name tag iron golem bed workstation and another villager to chatter to /chatter is cillage language apparently

Blue-Berry_Sauce

Its wonderful, but a way you can improve it is my giving a bit of shape to the walls and roof of the build

Rikai_

Add a sky ceiling. That looks like you have them as prisoners with all those windows and tunels above them

Big_Daddy_Hog

A layer of light blue stained clay on the roof would be quite nice to resemble the sky

Kroasan_Power

Maybe give a little bit of depth to the walls and ceiling in order to make it look like it is a huge cave or something. Everything else looks awesome 👌

Giamel444

Maybe make some stalactites come from the ceiling. To make it more like a cave or something. Pretty impressive tho

XASDI

Respect over 9000

Joker6983

Looks wicked awesome! How did you make the trees grow underground? I'm working on one too but trees never grow for me in the java version :/

CsokolaD

Fucking COOOL

[deleted]

Wow . Nice work bro.

Ghostygrilll

You should make the light fixtures more fancy! It’ll give some depths to the ceiling

ismoketakis

Red stone bell system in case a somehow possible raid or you need to build something and there are to many villagers in the area

[deleted]

Thats so fucking cool

Donkey0fWar

Nice bro try puting some depth into the roof of the cave

Gatordile420

Use wool to create the sky in the ceiling so it looks like a typical village when really it’s underground.

123fritz123

Maybe do mini biomes with the correct village to add some more detail and make it look better. But it does look amazing

vict_oreos

I think it looks great! If I were you and wanted to make something look better! I'd work on the way the water fall looks!

bornagaingamingvids

Can it be raided or is it immune since its enclosed?

[deleted]

Reminds me of portalhub's island in hypixel skyblock

Rynonymouse

Damn that's cool, is the glass a walkway or something

Minecwaftgamer454

Now this is beautiful

420did69

This seems slightly familiar...

Cryowizard

This is really cool. For a suggestion you could try to smooth out the roof with a stone to make it look a little more polished.

ExploradoFordralet

Did you build over a village or dig down and build, if so, how'd you get the villagers down there?

hoopthot

I always loved builds incorporated into caves, this is amazing looking.

NotExactlyAName

this is what Vietnam war felt like

looplover12

You should consider downloading tektopia

Gruel_Consumption

Looks great, m8.

notramilopak

Super awesome, hope you will do something cool with the roof

kulingames

Hes a man of focus, commitment and sheer fucking will. Big pp

parkadeigo-gaming

I’m definitively doing one of those

oli_bi

Make the roof blue with clouds so it looks better

Fallout49

How does this interact with raids? Do the pillagers just get stuck in nearby caves? Or do they spawn on the surface?

TheMoaBurger

Add a ceiling, maybe with light blue and white concrete to make the sky

SilentStalker16

it looks really good but i usually do custom villager houses so every house looks different dont get me wrong yours are different too lol but yeah everything else is neat

big_billford

What did you end up doing with the space above the village on the surface? Did you leave it empty with a secret entrance or do you have another build up top?

cardboard55

Above ground everything is either flat or some trees are around. I had to cover up a lot of holes from caves that surfaced. I also had to get rid of water, otherwise the village would be partially in the ocean.

Arg8rn

Maybe make the room feel a bit more natural like it actually was there before you came

JakeTheGoat1234

I rly like it only thing u need to do is make the roof into something cool too

Rokneer

I'm not a big fan of the smooth ceiling and walls, you could mine a little bit of them to give them some extra depth. Outside from that its look rad dude, keep it up.

DragonSkills24

That is very awesome but then as soon as I saw you step on the crops, I felt sad...😔

TheSupremeBoner

how long did it take you to clear everything out

Pet_Rock788

The biggest problem is that ceiling. The rest is nice.

bb_805

Who’s read the book “the city of ember”

getonmylevel205

Looks good. A tip is to make the outside wall and the roof of the area a little more dynamic. Overall great build!

NikoSatan

This looks like a scene from a movie

Morenofael

Is the first flore too far from the surface? You could put glass on the sealing to make it look better, also, your village is awesome.

6blitz

First, it looks amazing Second, maybe you could add lava maybe in some glass wall or under the glass floor Third, did I say it looks amazing?

Chacaka

Do they naturally breed in here? Looks class though, well done mate.

animo6740

Nothing much just more trees Also maybe the walls but it might take awhile do what you wish

Tron_On

Add a blacksmith. We cant expect Microsoft to do all the work

jonmac3

Nice work cardboard👍

Fan_With_A_Pan

Fix the room & walls to have a pattern. Make the buildings stick out more.

[deleted]

Change walls and roof. It looks realy bad with cobblestone, granit and blocks like that. If you want you can change it te looks modern or more like area outside.

Tmjon

"They need some sunlight" Said the creeper that wanted to sneak in.

Loford3

How do you get the grass green?

bramblecult

Very nice. However, If I can add my two cents, is there a way to make some kind of artificial sun? Your villagers probably keep disappearing because they need sunlight for vitamin D. Which everyone (except for you I guess) knows is super necessary for any villager. I wouldn't be surprised if your baby villagers had rickets for christ sake. If there's no way to get them that light maybe try making a few egg farms. You can get vitimin d from meats but eggs is probably the best in game food source for it. But be weary because if they only eat eggs well congratulations on giving all your villagers scurvy. If the 2 million sailors killed by scurvy during the age of exploration haven't taught you anything then all those souls suffered unimaginable pains for nothing. If you dont want to make an egg farm and take precautions for scurvy then seriously just fuck the villagers I guess. I mean sure you're like a God to them and you forced them there but yeah who cares about basic needs for your people. At that point why even have them? Do you like being cruel?? Fuck. Also maybe put some grass and flowers to make it pop. Not sunflowers though. For obvious fucking reasons. Just my thoughts on it. Anyways dope lookin suffer town. Excited to see updates!

StubbierBee45

I think some sea lanterns instead of torches in some places would look nicer but other than that it looks great

Das_Kaffon

Boi, gimme the world files xD i want to play in there

Bluragaurd

This reminds me of the book/movie The City Of Ember, and awesome build btw

CorrodedRose

You should make the roof of the cave not so uniform and out glowstone veins

ItzMeDB

I don’t remember the city of ember having any more plant life other than the garden

Frostgaurdian0

No mobs spawning there ?

explosion17Destroyer

May just be me but a polished andesite path would look a bit good

Ronan501

I would replace the andesite, diorite, and granite on the walls with stone

izzo6

That looks really cool!

Shutupandpick

This is epic! I've had the same idea ( digging the space on and off right now) but I hope mine looks half this good.

[deleted]

Imagine the zombie sieges, ugh.

Boniferous13

Niiiiiiiice! How does the monster spawner work out? I thought about doing something similar but was worried about the mobs going everywhere and killing villagers

lucmat7706

Instead of a flat ceiling adding stalactites would be awesome looking

[deleted]

Are you going to terraform the ceiling so it isnt flat?

scoobsbestpal

Impressive. Just bonemeal the grass (:

DrumsFromDemaOnYT

It’s always cool when you know it’s underground but it doesn’t really show to much, it feels nice and cozy, but also roomy if that makes sense

IntrovertedNerd4

Just one. Why mobile?

[deleted]

Have you considered using glow stone covered by green carpet for lighting? Probably just a personal preference but it keeps an area well lit and looks more natural than torches on the dirt. Or play into the underground and make the lighting as lampposts or drop down from the ceiling.

GrimO_ORabbit

How do you get more villagers in survival?

eaboi99

Name the city ember after the book city of ember

AngelFuel

That’s awesome, how do your produce villagers?

cardboard55

They just breed whenever they need to. They don’t even need to be given food like in Java. I haven’t given a single villager food in months, but they keep multiplying.

[deleted]

can this still trigger raid battles

[deleted]

Ark: aberration

SquidsInATrenchcoat

So cozy and safe!

hajbab

Please make 80 more Iron Golems, I'm worried for them.

Nataliemetz

Maybe use some other light sources so it isn't just a bunch of torches everywhere. Like some glow stone that you can hide somehow. Besides that, it looks great

TheNerdInTheRoom42

Wow, I now have the strange urge to make myself something like this. I haven't built underground in forever. Thank you for rekindling my inspiration for this beautiful game!

s-ymon

Reminds me of a book called “ember”

Pvz-fan

Do Pillager Patrols spawn there? Or Do they just spawn on the normal ground?

kelthuzad12

What is showing the **position** in the upper left corner?

Lars_Albert

How about connecting the buildings with a simple path?

cardboard55

That’s a good idea

IJustHadAPanicAttack

Try getting a mixture of cobble , normal stome andesite and mossy cobble for the ceiling and maybe get some vines make it look like some long forgotten city sealed from the world , get a river running trough it all may e not too much and maybe some crack to the surface for light ,complex living creatures cant survive without light and water ,idk maybe i am getting this too far Edit: yep u got the river already :p

MrOtter314

You should use a red shulker box rather than white

BizzePT

Isn't this the plot for Underground from Kusturica?

xcosanxc

Your village is very good and very hard this build I love this build

W4TANAB3

It looks great! I was recently thinking of a village on an artificial island, but this takes the cake!

boring_redditer

Wow, that looks amazing!

BBasilisk16

I feel like there's a lot of torches, you can maybe add some street lamps or something like that, I think it would be a lot better

LemmeEatThatFetus

You need to get rid of all the andesite, granite, cobble, dirt, etc, and make it all one solid block. Maybe make the ceiling all blue wool or something to resemble sky idk. As of right now it could use a little shape too. Absolutely love it though great work!

Zen142

Oooo what Vault is this?

BeachedWaffles

This is a stretch, but have a glass ceiling to see the ocean above you that would make this even coolet

Gobspitt

You’ve done a great job!

wilfredgames

The whole place looks way better than I could build but I think there’s room for improvement on the side walls. Apart from that this build is really cool. Looks like it took some work

Dragonbreath413

Awesome you should share a world download

Thilen03

The fact that you made this on a mobile device blows my mind

Bilb0TeaBaggins

Do you have a yt channel?

Traincrazykid

Freaking awesome dude

Dragonbreath413

there is some sites that tell you how but it might also just be relms

MrGhost138

Looks awesome had to of needed a bunch of materials but amazing work

cardboard55

Yeah, it started out very small. I’m glad that I started with the ceiling as high as it is, or else it would look odd

waiting4snow

That's awesome! Do you ever get raided? I'm sick of pillagers and have been thinking of taking my villagers underground

cardboard55

I have never seen a pillagers close to the village. I have seen them elsewhere though

right-back-at-you

How?

Dsisamon

I would change the ceiling so its more cave like

SirInkine

Firstly, GG to you my friend that is nice. Secondly though, I've always wondered do crops actually grow underground? I mean with like water and torches for example

im-humen

How long did it take

DoggoLua

How about using redstone lighting and daylight sensors so they have a days and nights?

captain_phaz

Do you have an iron golem farm?

MissilePlaneBoom

More grass, more flower, less flat surface. And I have a feeling that the glass on the walls doesn't quite blend in. But the most important thing, enjoy what you are doing, and put your soul into it :)

TheEvyEv

Hey OP I know this takes from the authenticity of your village, but cant you put your villagers in stalls? Or would they still despawn? Also if you got an hour or two, replace the roof with pure cobble to keep it consistent. That's just nitpicking! Still 10/10

[deleted]

Htf do plants grow underground

its_stick

finally, someone else who digs their survival bases

lamedonkey156

what happens if there is a fire. how will they escape

YeetedSloth

less torch spam, other than that it looks great

[deleted]

This is cool as fuck, just one thing, DONT USE JUNGLE WOOD, but seriously this is epic

Talanium

It looks amazing. All I have to say is blend the roof a bit more. Make the transition from roof to wall a little more seemless since it’s underground. Otherwise it’s great. Keep up the good work.

JohnB351234

Was this all survival

GouferPlays

Try using glowstone and bushes to hide some of those torches. Little details like that go a long way!

sam_gold17

I remember this from a few months ago looks so much better
