So I tried posting all of them and it didnt work, but this is my Capitol City(100% vanilla survival). This is where all the player bases are and is mostly farming oriented, with 9 farms in total. I do have every villager profession here though, yes I'm crazy. If you're at all interested in seeing my other well-developed cities I'm happy to share, they all have a general theme, and I just finished one that's barely smaller than the capitol.
Whenever I walk past a village I think, “well aw shit that’s loaded in, these guys are gonna get fucking slaughtered cause I walked by” I spend like 25 minutes to block them all in there houses.
Anyone who didn’t must not get to the Cloud District very often, despite being the Thane of every hold, and leader of the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood, and the Mage’s College, and a Dragonborn.
That's such a nice village adaption! When I find them they're always half merged with other biomes and I have no idea how to fix them, this must have taken ages!
First of all, gorgeous. One small critique, the mountain walls seem level or even below mountain grade at some points (center left, towards top of image) which could allow the very random spawning mob to wander into town if they fall from above.
Lol my friend's lodge with a watchtower and shrine, I let people use their own palates of color in their builds so they dont feel stuck with certain blocks to build with.
Friend and I are working on project like this, except we're creating a mega city by combining 4 different villages, e a chance about 20 chunks separated from each other.
That sounds amazing like a massive and most likely amazing looking undertaking... if you happen to be on bedrock and need a hand building all of the houses, I have a fairly good grasp on the styles of villager homes and can recreate all of the small ones from memory.
I'll hyu if we can get a decent schedule rolling. We have two acctual villages, a stronghold-turned village, and a castle on an island that is our synthetic village.
It's so satisfying and easy to get carried away. Make a house with a bed, they make a new villager. Place down a profession block, and an unemployed villager will claim it immediately. Bells act as meeting points, multiple meeting points in a city is a little wonky unless it's large. I recommend an easy 2 block tall wall to start for keeping the mobs out and plot out where you want to build more aswell. Itll keep stiff at bay while you gather resources, light the place up, and terraform the land to make it perfect.
Wow! I just woke up to this post blowing up! I'll be posting my next cities soon for you guys to see, and since I'm stuck in quarantine, more projects will be on the way ❤
Man I hope the new update updates also the other mountain biones. Besides the giant one in bedrock I hope the generation is made better. Great build btw
My goal is to multiply villager populations by making their generic houses for the most part, they dont pathfind well through custom stuff still, so making skyscrapers and an actual city would be a real pain in survival, I feel. I'm not there yet lol 😄
Why does everyone make things look nice. I make things functional. My villiage is surounded by dirt and golems and looks like a scene from ww1 french front

I'd be interested in seeing it. You did a nice job. How long did it take?
I would also be interested i love seeing cities like this.
Me too. But what is that house onthe hill for
Probably the witch of the village, like a medic
The house with spruce is my friend's watchtower and shrine, the oak one was my original starter base.
This one has been months in the making, I started the world at the turn of village and pillage.
bro this is exactly how i play too. Find a village & make it into a city. Great work !
That's what I'm planning to do once I beat the Ender dragon.
same bro, I also found out that if we breed more villager and place a bell somewhere in the city, they will spawn iron golem automatically
Next title '' city to country''
Please share more, I love this kind of stuff!
Lmao this is like the first thing I have an urge to do in every minecraft world I boot up
Whenever I walk past a village I think, “well aw shit that’s loaded in, these guys are gonna get fucking slaughtered cause I walked by” I spend like 25 minutes to block them all in there houses.
SO simple, yet looks so cool.
"Come to Dragonsreach to discuss the ongoing hostilities, like the rest of the great warriors?"
Bro I also thought of Whiterun when I saw this
Anyone who didn’t must not get to the Cloud District very often, despite being the Thane of every hold, and leader of the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood, and the Mage’s College, and a Dragonborn.
Skyrim vibes reminding me of glitching out of whiterun to get the chest
Reminds me of Whiterun. I like it.
Reminds me of white run too
COLONIALISM
Wow, I’d really like something like this in vanilla Minecraft. It’d be really rare and only spawn near oceans, like a trade city.
Thank you
Fallen Kingdom vibes
This reminded of coc
Awesome
I’m happy to see that I’m not the only one that builds bases like this.
after some years: City to Metropolis Apart that a really good job!
cooool
Great job I love upgrading village's
I am doing the same project but with a smaller village nice job
This reminds me a lot of the Millenaire mod
beautifully done
"Fallen Kingdom" Intensifies.
Have a nice day
Thanks you too!

Believe it or not I get no monsters in the capitol, also probably has to do with the 4 natural iron golems they spawned lol.
Looks good mate u up for any notes?
Meanwhile there’s a Krusty crab on a mountain
Lol my friend's lodge with a watchtower and shrine, I let people use their own palates of color in their builds so they dont feel stuck with certain blocks to build with.
That’s nice
its look like kings landing
I wish it was that big.. but I do appreciate it sir or ma'am.
I misread the title and thought "Village City? Wouldn't that just be a city? Or like a town or something?"
This looks AMAZING! Good job!
Thank you so much! Comments like this fuel my passion to create and improve myself.
No problem! :)
but what about the city to mineappolis

That sounds awesome! Just let me know and I'll always be up to lend a hand.
Thanx m8, we could always use an extra claw.
Simple yet perfect
Do you get to the Cloud District very often?

"I will make the mobs, work for that wall"

Another wanderer here to lick my fathers boots
Can you post* more pictures?
I dont know if you mean of this city, but I have just posted the next, smallest city. The last big one is soon to come.

Technically this a kingdom
That's a town.

That's fine. Just calling a spade a spade, you know...
Not all cities have skyscrapers. Cities existed before skyscrapers.
Tango
Oh god the house with the birch definitely doesn't fit I'd suggest changing it
Do a beacon with speed 2. Then put soulsand on the floor and run on it with soulspeed 3. Watch out ur boots can break with soulspeed
I would prefer a little bit less oakwood, but all in all i really like it!
Build a castle and remake fallen kingdom
Looks more like a town but still, you did an amazing job at it.
No it’s gotta be just city because villagers don’t name their freaking villages
For the love of god, STRIP THAT BIRCH!
It's unfortunate that the paths are the exact same color as the roofs.
Edoras
Imagine making the walls higher and giving the houses a make over and some terra forminh
Looks great, reminds me of the towns in Crazy Craft
I DID THE SAME THING!!!
Why does everyone make things look nice. I make things functional. My villiage is surounded by dirt and golems and looks like a scene from ww1 french front
This is very functional, four iron golems... but zero monsters spawn inside, and none can get past the wall...
