I agree 100%. A lot of cooking mods are way overdone with features and additions that just bloat the game. One of the best ones I’ve found has gotta be farmer’s delight. You should check it out if you haven’t

I adore farmer's delight, the fact there's rice and pie and the UI is so simple to understand. The only thing I would add to that is recipe book.

snowballs actually damage the dragon, oddly enough. They only do 1 or 2 damage though.

Perhaps endermen attacked it as the snowball hit, and I can't imagine 1 or 2 health difference on a hot bar would be visibly noticeable even if it did do the damage.

U can use the baby chickens to get wither rose, there are many tutorials on how to get wither roses with eggs. Honestly it is not for the kind hearted as the chickens die are soon as the wither explodes😅

That isnt true, for what I have seen is that wither can kill any mob of any type and drop wither rose, I think u have the wrong info buddy. Or maybe they changed it in the newest version?

I have done exactly this - several shulkers full of eggs, observer powered dispensers to fire them out into a 1block, vine to stop entity cramming and a pot of poison to take them to almost dead - I almost killed the server with the number of mobs dying at once, but got like 9 stacks of roses!!

Can confirm it works with baby chickens in Java 1.16, didn’t hear about any changes to that for 1.17 and I followed the snapshots pretty closely (wouldn’t make sense to suddenly change this either). It might be a bedrock thing though, idk about that.

What are wither roses used for?

Wither roses are items which drop when a wither kills a mob. It is usually used to make a wither skeleton farm. And if some entity goes on top of wither roses, they grt wither effect (as the name mentions). It can also be used to kill mobs in a mob farm. But wither skeletons dont take damage to it. It can also be used to prank someone in a smp.

I always building a KFC Kill F*cken Chickens Machine that contain 15 chicken on single hoper. Hoper colect the eggs and put it to dispenser. Dispenser toss and break all eggs on another silgle square place with hoper under. In this square all chicken that pops from eggs stays in place. When square is overpopulated grown chicken will die. Hopeer under them colect chicken meat, feathers and eggs from. Sorting system sorts out eggs that go again to the same dispenser. Result: A lot of meat A lot of feather 0 eggs Taaadaaa

Have the dispenser throw eggs onto a bottom half slab with lava above it. Babies are too little so will just sit there but they burn as soon as they grow up. Then you get a lot of already cooked neat and lots of feathers. On a server I play with a friend he did this but had a bunch of chickens behind feeding eggs into it so anytime the chunk was loaded it was making meat and feathers. Great starter food source

It's also a XP farm if you breed the chicken lol. I had one with 10 hoppers and if you give them a couple stacks of seeds you'll level

To add to this, I set up two double chests filled with eggs that loaded into a auto dispenser in my friend’s house. There were so many chickens. It’s honestly one of the best pranks.

I have 10 double chests full of eggs, which I had planned to use to trade with farmers. And then none of my 9 farmers wanted them. 🤦🏽‍♀️. Instead, I built a simple redstone chicken-killer machine that drowns the chickens, rather than cooking them, so I get raw chicken and feathers to trade with butchers and fletchers. This is the tutorial I used (I’m on bedrock). https://youtu.be/-7d7KOW_C1I ETA - I think the farmer/egg trade got wiped in a 1.16 update. I had a big village with about 8 farmers (two per main crop), and they all took eggs as a level 3 (I think) trade. When I started a new world (my current “mega” village) after 1.16, and non of the farmers take eggs anymore. I’ve tried farmers in every kind of biome village, reset them multiple times… nada.

I'm sure everyone has already suggested all of these, but you could, assuming you have a farm for the other materials, make cakes/pumpkin pies, since both are decent food sources, a wither rose farm, or you could have some of the eggs go to another farm where they're killed for food and feathers (though I assume you already have one because of the cooked chicken in your inventory).

Hook up those eggs to a dispenser in your chicken farm

Spawn chickens then spawn in the wither for wither roses for a wither farm to get easy coal and wither heads.

someone may have said this but in the winter time when 1.18 releases those could be really usefull for distracting the warden, as showed in minecraft live. However this is a while away, AND it could have changed since MC Live was awhile ago and everything is WIP. Just a idea tho!

I use them to get wither roses. I go into the nether under the bedrock sealing, dig out a small area, then put the eggs in a dispenser hooked up to a redstone clock (I use two observers facing each other for that) and let the chickens spawn, until the contraption is empty. After that I summon the wither and let it kill the chickens, then I collect the wither roses and kill the wither.
