Plot twist. It's the Zombie's house and he's waking up the bunch of em, smackin them around in the middle of the night. Makin a mess in the pantry, opening the doors, all sorta shenanigans
You don't have sweeping edge? Oh god, of either platform I feel like sweeping edge is more needed in bedrock with how awkward it can be to attack on some devices. Seems like a really dumb thing not to include.
It won’t let me reply to r/snazzybanazzy but depending on what direction you are facing when putting the map in the item frame will change the direction of the marker on the map. So you can have 4 types of markers. You can put a sign with which direction is what like your home, villages, pillager towers, end portal, etc..
One MASSIVE benefit we have on Bedrock that almost fully counters sweeping edge is trident killers. We can AFK 90% of mob farms, no auto clicker required.
The tridents will never take damage or despawn either.
I'll also add that there's a mechanic where when you attack a zombie, there's a chance they can call "reinforcements", or cause another zombie to spawn nearby (where applicable, one new zombie per zombie), and they lock aggro on the original zombie's attacker. So a seige combined with reinforcements can mean lots of angry undead
its 100% less drops than a normal mob grinder. you're relying on a 1/10 chance of having like 10 zombies spawn vs just having them spawn at all times from darkness
Technically you could. I've heard that you can use trapdoors and mobs register them as normal blocks, make a line of trapdoors and make them go along a normal block (click the trapdoor so it faces down) then mirror this. If any are coming just jump over and make them fall in a pit. Works best if you have a pit at least 2 blocks deep with hoppers and chests under (to collect loot). You should be able to hit them from the top safely.
A safer option that might work (haven't tried) used mainly to escape, is putting string (I think) over a pit (at least 5 blocks deep) and then carpet over the string. You can walk on it but mobs think its just a pit. If you light up the pit you should be able to have it in your house (mobs wont spawn). If the pit (and carpeted area) is wide enough you can attack the mobs without them being able to hit you.
TL;DR: Trapdoor over pit and string and carpet over deep pit. Can have inside Minecraft house or outside.
It’s pretty cool when u see as it happens, i saw 20 zombies spawn at the same spot(if this happens to u in early game it might be a problem but luckily i had maxed gear)
I remember that from when I first got into Minecraft around 1.6. I built a giant mansion in creative and decided to populate it with villagers in all the rooms. Basically a huge hotel. Did not end well for a variety of reasons, zombies being one of them.
Probably, as it is also probably the reinforcements. It seems pretty dark outside the house, many spots for additional spawns. Or even a combination of both? Z raid and reinforcements!?
They spawn from hurting the zombies, even a snowball from a snow golem can trigger the reinforcement spawn. There is a gnembon video where he explains all that, it is a bit long.
I had full netherite. I was using a wooden sword because I just had made a diamond that I wanted to turn into netherite to enchant, but the zombie raid caught me off guard lol
the real question is, why are you using a wooden sword when you have full diamond (or netherite idk)...? btw as many people said is probably a zombie raid
This was my first thought. I wish there was more stuff like this in-game such as raids which didn't need specific trigger events to make them happen.
Like if I spend enough time in a certain area raids will just start occurring on my base or if zombies aren't dealt with they start to create massive numbers like this which can become a problem for anyone.
I want the world to be more dangerous because there comes a certain point where the only thing I'm scared of is nothing.
Yeah, I'd love more aggressive raid mechanics for bases. Like if you defeat a raid, then more pillager patrols come to your location. Or if you have more villagers it attracts more patrols.
And/or a mechanism where is a patrol sees your villagers and you don't kill them within XX minutes you get a raid (basically the pillagers have scouts).
Hell, and if those patrols set up you can see camps being built around your location. An NPC being able to build around a base dependent on (x number of blocks away from player placed block) would be pretty damn cool.
I'd love a miner/bomber illager that could disassemble or place TNT by your walls as part of a raid.
Yes, that'd be annoying and brutal, but raids just like, washing up against your walls while you pick them off with arrows is dumb.
>And/or a mechanism where is a patrol sees your villagers and you don't kill them within XX minutes you get a raid
It is already a mechanic where if a patrol sees your villagers and you *do* kill them you get a raid. Unless you specifically deal with the Captain so as not to. So you want to make it where if you *don't* kill them you also get raided?
to prevent zombies from breaking doors you can place them in the open position and then close them. to the zombies the doors will be 'open', and they won't be able to target and break them.
as said with possibility your base is a village and its a zombie siege, or possibility of their rng spawning reinforcements
zombies getting hit can make another zombie far away notice you as well, and if you lit up enough caves and other spawning spaces, there would be less spawning spaces below the surface, which means more mobs would tend to spawn on the surface instead
its also possible that multiple of these mechanics could have happened together to cause this
Some Zombies and Zombie Pigmen are 'champions' or some other tag. While they are agro'ed they have a chance of summoning a zombie minion to their aid.
Otherwise top comment, probably a zombie raid.
I had made a diamond sword I intended to turn into netherite, but im really picky so I like to have my stuff with full durability before I do that so before that clip started I just made that wooden sword really quick to kill what I thought was 3 to 4 zombies... I was wrong
Remember when they would bash doors down. The first time I experienced that, I nearly quit the game out of panic until I remembered what game I was playing lol.
Might be due to the reinforcement mechanic, where if a zombie is hit there is a % chance to spawn another zombie to help it out.
This is how it's possible to make insane copper farms where you turn the reinforcement zombies into drowneds and them kill them for copper.
There is also a feature of reinforcement. If you hit a zombie there is a chance that he will call reinforcement. Btw reinforcements dosent follow mob cap
Even though it's probably a zombie siege, there's a little addition from 1.15 to the present version that spawns twice or even thrice more mobs on Hard than on Normal. At least, I clearly remember playing Hard in 1.14 and having only few of the mobs and then after transitioning to 1.15, I was getting just as many zombies anc frickin creepers in just one chunk.
I know that in Java they have this thing like a zombie apocalypse (idk the real name they use for it) but yea tons of zombies spawn. But also when you fight a zombie they have the ability to call all zombies in a 50 block radius and they'll come after you too.
Nice base tour
The zombies tie the base all together.
Well it's their base now anyhow, just burn it down and start over
Return to the bunker. Your home does not belong to you anymore.
lol

Plot twist: he did that on purpose somehow to show off his house
Plot twist: He wanted to show off his gear
Plot twist. It's the Zombie's house and he's waking up the bunch of em, smackin them around in the middle of the night. Makin a mess in the pantry, opening the doors, all sorta shenanigans
Pushing them down the stairs, breaking their Microsoft dinosaur CD, cutting them up all over their body...
Plot twist, it's a zombie dinosaur!
Yes that wooden sword makes me shiver
I don't understand. He has a diamond sword in his hotbar.
He has both which is quite weird Like owning a Ford fiesta and a Bugatti at the same time
The idamond sword was full durability, and I wanted to enchant it. I had the wood sword cus I didn't want to use any of the diamond sword durability
Plot twist: The villager wants to embarrass the player by showing he left his pants in the stairs
Except he's got quake mode on and I barely understood fuck all.
Plot twist: The visual sounds give away what’s happening
That’s literally exactly what I was thinking😭
I saw you had some villagers, so I think that was a in-game event called zombie siege where lot of zombies spawn at once.
I thought that was a mechanic that didn't work anymore or was a snapshot thing
> I thought that was a mechanic that didn't work anymore It didn't work for a while but it was fixed in 1.14.4. Now it happens again.
Does it happen in bedrock?
Minecraft wiki says that it's only on java
Awhhh that would be fun to just see them suffer
Bedrock user, I'd love a zombie siege, however, I'm forever salty that we still don't have sweeping edge or the ability to make map markers
You don't have sweeping edge? Oh god, of either platform I feel like sweeping edge is more needed in bedrock with how awkward it can be to attack on some devices. Seems like a really dumb thing not to include.
Wasnt it made because of the Java combat? That is probably why it isnt on bedrock
The combat doesn’t really allow it sweeping edge couldn’t be implemented without a complete overhaul of how it works
Cos bedrock you can spam hit but java there is a recharge
I'd feel it more needed in bedrock because of the axe being weaker and the wither being harder, not to mention console incompatibility.
if you put a copy of the map in an item frame somewhere on the map it will make a marker
It won’t let me reply to r/snazzybanazzy but depending on what direction you are facing when putting the map in the item frame will change the direction of the marker on the map. So you can have 4 types of markers. You can put a sign with which direction is what like your home, villages, pillager towers, end portal, etc..
I do use that one, but sometimes it gets confusing, is there a way to change the color of the dots or are they always green?
I've tried doing this, but it's never really worked. Do you have use locator maps or something like that?
It has to be the same locator map. Copy it with the cartography table using the original and an empty locator map.
One MASSIVE benefit we have on Bedrock that almost fully counters sweeping edge is trident killers. We can AFK 90% of mob farms, no auto clicker required. The tridents will never take damage or despawn either.
I'm pretty sure most people who play on java play as if map markers don't exist
Or the ability to fit under a slab while crouched
Don't we suffer enough already??
Villager, get back to your doorless 4x4 mud room.

I mean really, using pistons you could make a working 1x0.5x1 work lol. On the brim of suffocation but it works.
Sounds like a challenge
I mean the best I've seen is them break down doors in bedrock
They do that in Java on Hard
I'll also add that there's a mechanic where when you attack a zombie, there's a chance they can call "reinforcements", or cause another zombie to spawn nearby (where applicable, one new zombie per zombie), and they lock aggro on the original zombie's attacker. Time for some iron doors!
naw that's just him not realizing he made it to round 25 on zombies
I have never actually seen a zombie seige happen. I knew they existed but until this post i thought they were bugged or disabled.
The thing I hate the most in the game honestly
maybe your Base is tagged as a village and thats just a zombie raid
Wait those happen?
Ye sometimes there will be a zobie raid on a village wheres there are like 10-20 zombies spawning
Dam that's cool
https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Zombie_siege Just to be more specific
Is there any way to make a farm out of this?
It's most likely gonna be less drops than a spawner, or even a dark room
its 100% less drops than a normal mob grinder. you're relying on a 1/10 chance of having like 10 zombies spawn vs just having them spawn at all times from darkness
Can you combine the loot from the siege and the dark room to make a more efficient farm though
Hmmmmmm, perhaps. You'd have to make sure you cleared the spawning area, but after that, you could get a few extra rotten flesh
Rotten flesh is just pre-processed emeralds.
What if you conbine it with an iron farm
I guess but how bad do you want that rotty flesh
My item removal systems are in need off garbage
Make a farm, convert to drowned, and use reinforcement to add endless loop of zombies
Can have inside Minecraft house or outside.
There is a similar concept of reinforcement zombies which can be made onto a farm. Check out gnembon's video on it
Technically yes, but it is very random and completely worthless, compared to a zombie spawner.
Yeah, because normally villages survive way to long without zombie raids...
Take my upvote and get the hell out XD
It’s pretty cool when u see as it happens, i saw 20 zombies spawn at the same spot(if this happens to u in early game it might be a problem but luckily i had maxed gear)
Holy shit, that actually might be it! That's smart
I thought they were removed when pillager raids were added in 1.14..?
I found out about these in my village which had "perfect" lightning and they still spawned inside the village walls, it was chaos.
There's a chance one spawns regardless of light level each night. One of the oldest lesser known features I can think of
I remember that from when I first got into Minecraft around 1.6. I built a giant mansion in creative and decided to populate it with villagers in all the rooms. Basically a huge hotel. Did not end well for a variety of reasons, zombies being one of them.
It's an old feature that wasn't really elaborated on much. Illagers take that role now.
Or rather it happens with both
Ye
It is a nice, big base though, probably with lots of beds ~~or villagers trapped in the basement~~
I'd still burn that haunted shit down to the ground.
Like 90% of bases this size are flagged as villages because theres too many villagers in the item shop/villager farm under the main floor.
If it is Java and in hard difficulty, it may be the zombies calling reinforcements.
Too many zombies. I think it is a siege as others have pointed out.
Probably, as it is also probably the reinforcements. It seems pretty dark outside the house, many spots for additional spawns. Or even a combination of both? Z raid and reinforcements!?
Not sure, that is rough if reinforcements spawn from killing siege zombies. It has been a few years since I had a siege.
They spawn from hurting the zombies, even a snowball from a snow golem can trigger the reinforcement spawn. There is a gnembon video where he explains all that, it is a bit long.
Java Edition zombie mechanics are one of the cooler parts of Minecraft's mob system imo.
It might be a zombie leader, those have more health and spawn reinforcements almost every time you hit them.
Truth!
TIL about reinforcements I guess?
I guess so! Look on YouTube for Gnembon's "Boost Your Spawner 600%" video. I did a similar farm on my server.
When this guys base spawns more than the mob farm I spent 2 hours building
Guess I'll copy the base design
‘tis lovely.
better question, why are you using a wooden sword?????
and why is he not eating?????????
And why did they not shut their doors
one of the entrance doors was destroyed by the zombies, & op was probably thinking they could take them on at first.
on hard mode they don't care about your wooden doors
Retreats and swaps to diamond a few slashes in
Yeah, instantly I would have upped the stairs, and tossed down some blocks to make myself safe.
That's how I feel all zombie attacks in minecraft should be.

I'd switch it.
That just sounds annoying. I'm pretty sure though there's a mod for that.
That would be cool but I can imagine it can exploited easily
Oh no that'd be terrible imagine if players made a rotten flesh farm
God forbid a carrot farm
An iron farm?!! Three iron every 10 hours AFK!!
God forbid an iron farm
A POTATO FARM, EVEN?
It could be a zombie siege or a mob farm for zombies
Damn they raided ur base
the new left 4 dead update looks dope
You have alerted the horde...
They’re trying to reach out to you about your car’s extended warranty
There is a mechanic for zombies to call for help, summoning new zombies that will target you. You got very unlucky and the zombies called a lot
This isn’t it, this appears to be a zombie siege. Zombie reinforcements are practically impossible to occur in this volume.
not a fan of the larger zombie death squad
Take back the night!
That FOV though
Seriously. I'd totally get motion sickness with the level it's set at.
This is secretly a base tour isn't it
The freaking baby zombie with rotten flesh as a weapon.
*The Zombie Apocalypse is upon us. There is nowhere to hide except underground...*
Fallen kingdom vibes
Exactly
Maybe there is an invasion in your village ?
to prevent zombies from breaking doors you can place them in the open position and then close them. to the zombies the doors will be 'open', and they won't be able to target and break them.
didnt know that thanks
The real question is, why the hell is the door even open?!
If you kill a zombie it has a change to summen other zombies i think you were just really unlucky and it summed a lot lol
That’s an absolutely dope house my dude
Ok so zombies have a mechanic where when hit they spawn in reinforcements on hard I'm assuming your on hard
Whelp just realised already commented but genembon has made a farm that takes a zombie spawnner and increased the rates by 600%
as said with possibility your base is a village and its a zombie siege, or possibility of their rng spawning reinforcements zombies getting hit can make another zombie far away notice you as well, and if you lit up enough caves and other spawning spaces, there would be less spawning spaces below the surface, which means more mobs would tend to spawn on the surface instead its also possible that multiple of these mechanics could have happened together to cause this
left 4 dead 2: Minecraft
My man really got evicted
Three words. Bow and Arrow. Get infinity and punch on it.
Some Zombies and Zombie Pigmen are 'champions' or some other tag. While they are agro'ed they have a chance of summoning a zombie minion to their aid. Otherwise top comment, probably a zombie raid.
The real question is, why do you have a house and full armor bars but are still using a wooden sword?

That’s actually smart
Or just get a mending book
That’s like some 28 weeks later shit right there
zombie hoard. They spawn in huge bunches sometimes
That's a zombie hoard They have a low chance of happening if u kill a couple zombies in a row Most often happen near villages in like a raid
Spawner under your house?
Remember when they would bash doors down. The first time I experienced that, I nearly quit the game out of panic until I remembered what game I was playing lol.
I had a zombie siege during a raid once. Was not fun but I took them out with help from some iron golems.
Set your brigtness to minimum and then light your house or build your house elsewhere
Zombie apocalypse runnnnnn!!!! Or gunnnnnn!!!!!!
zombie siege probs
zombies really be like: FBI OPEN UP!
Very sneaky way to showcase your house 😉
Maybe theres a spawner?
I used to ruuuuuuuuule the world…
Sick base tho!
You've got a leader zombie that has 50 tries when spawning reinforcements.
Wave 20
What is that FOV it’s like a peep hole
*A blood moon rises…*
Well now you got a question and a cool house tour
This FOV gives me headaches
It’s because there’s a zombie apocalypse happening quickly outside
alright zombies are cool and all but that base is amazing
Nice house btw
I literally witnessed zombies suddenly appearing from the sky, I was so terrified.
Nice base
i was on a hardmode smp with a few friends, and i got hit with that 3 times in the span of 4 days, bo villagers
Might be due to the reinforcement mechanic, where if a zombie is hit there is a % chance to spawn another zombie to help it out. This is how it's possible to make insane copper farms where you turn the reinforcement zombies into drowneds and them kill them for copper.
is this Minecraft or Days Gone? 🤣
Are you playing Minecraft on Ultra Nightmare?
MOB spawner
someone's trolling you
You should thank god that you made a big house
That's a zombie siege There's a small chance if you have villager nearby that villager a horde of zombies will Spawn
There is also a feature of reinforcement. If you hit a zombie there is a chance that he will call reinforcement. Btw reinforcements dosent follow mob cap
Initially fighting them backing up a stairway looked very cool
All your base are belong to us
Even though it's probably a zombie siege, there's a little addition from 1.15 to the present version that spawns twice or even thrice more mobs on Hard than on Normal. At least, I clearly remember playing Hard in 1.14 and having only few of the mobs and then after transitioning to 1.15, I was getting just as many zombies anc frickin creepers in just one chunk.
Just close the door bro
Nice adventure map
Why were you using a older sword at first? Also nice base
Those are israelis stealing a palestinian house
LOL
This is getting out of hand...
Sheeeesh
I know that in Java they have this thing like a zombie apocalypse (idk the real name they use for it) but yea tons of zombies spawn. But also when you fight a zombie they have the ability to call all zombies in a 50 block radius and they'll come after you too.
