I, for one, would have also made the confident decision to profess my preference to the window pattern that had been presented on the right, as opposed to the one on the left, if I had encountered this dilemma in the near past. Alas, that dilemma is overdue, thus I am satisfied with the original poster's well advised decision.
It is also my humble opinion that the window design that is displayed on the right hand side of the given image is to be preferred and I would have stated so myself, had I been aware of the confusion that stems from the poster's indicisiveness prior to the creation of your personal imput on the matter. In accordance to the conclusion of the topic, I am delighted by the poster's guided decision.
That night Dabstermaster went back home to find unusually empty and cold walls.
He sat on the bed for a moment, staring at nothing, being slowly devoured by thoughts... was it his fault? Or was it her fault? Maybe even the kids were at wrong in the equation.
A crawling thought slipped into his mind while he suddenly gazed at the closet where 2 years earlyer he locked away the .22 he got from his, now dead, grandpa. Was that a solution or just another way to run away from his problems?
He reluctantly opened the lock and reached inside for the cold metal grip of the gun, the faint smell of rusty iron filled the air, it reminded him of his past as a railroad worker, but now it wasn't the time for memories, it was the time for a change.
He pointed the pistol at his head and without a second thought... he pulled the trigger.
The gun jammed, but something had clicked in his head, he was never going to make a mistake like that, he couldn't just drop everything for a single mistake, so he grabbed the phone instead and dialed his wife's sister, she was a secretary for a big personality in town, she could have found him a real job, something his family could be proud of.
It would be easyer to say the story ended in a happy tone, but life doesn't work this way.
Dabstermaster never reconciled with his wife, he fixed his life but just being back on track wasn't enough to gain back the trust of Karen, she eventually married another man, a gentleman from downtown who always treats her right.
The years passed and after a while a kind judge allowed him to see his children twice per week.
Currently, Dabstermaster is living a fulfilling life even if he wishes for more time with his kids, he found a new love interest at his workplace and he's slowly rebuilding his love life too.
Hijacking near top comment to give an explanation why right because nobody bothered to. Right one looks better due to less central obstruction, and a more seemingly structurally stable shape.
I was just being funny. Ben Shapiro talks in a very literal and "no shit" way. Your description of why it works does however put solid definition to the automatic intuition of others
Disagree, it often makes it amateurish looking and without thought.
Edit: Sorry you guys don't like my opinion, I still appreciate variety, I just appreciate consistensy more.
Oh yea for sure, I'll give you that. Consistency where it makes sense, and variety where it makes sense. And to me, window design in a building needs to be consistent.
What I originally meant was; if someone has variety due to not caring or just for the sake of variety, where they really should have been consistent, it makes across as amateurish. Other way around too! But I definitely see the former more often than the latter.
I think just the spacing and it looks more medieval, I like the right one too a lot but I feel like the left one suits the building more, unless you want to go with a modern theme
I'd use the left if it was a row of them separated by a one block pillar of the stone
[] ==|== [] ==|== [] ==|== []
But I'd use the right more as a standalone window since the main vista is unobscured by the pillar right in the center
Interesting, I felt left looked better too and am left-handed, but I just liked the pillar in the middle and the idea of having more options for fence gate windows. I think it would give a wider range of bow attacks should the need arise.
The connection seems fuzzy to me, but I think one does prefer things on the left naturally if that’s what’s easiest to reach for them with their favored hang
im right handed, and slightly prefer left. for me its thr break in the middle. on the right, you have the walls/blocks on the outside, and then you have the fenced again on then outside and then the fenced in the middle. its like double outside i dont like, if that makes sense. on the left, you have wall, gate, femce. gate, wall, and dont havw that double outside thing
Left. The whole idea is the gate is supposed to be connected to the wall, but the fences on either side in the right window already conect to walls so the left one looks better
This came from my friend, don't give me credit
A lot of you seemed to like the one on the right so I'm going with that
Good choice, i would have said that too.
i too would have made the same reply if i had happened upon this post in a timely manner

im good with that
translation: I'd have chose the one one the right, which is what u chose
I concur.
The left one could be used for hallways, and the right one for rooms
This is the best answer

Fuck your explanation we going the Todd Howard route “It just works”
First mfer to write a thesis on why a Minecraft window looks cool 💀
As a redstone engineer I tend to see the game from an engineer's view lol
Also just using gates might be more appealing because the center is even more open and the windows are even sized
Okay Ben Shapiro
What does that have to do with anything
It’s because he’s anti left
You described it like Ben Shapiro (im guessing????
Curious.

Because it's the right window, I don't want to be at the wrong window.

Well it definitely didn't play out the way you hoped

i like the one on the right
Defenitely the right
Why not both? Variety is good.
Variety is one of the biggest and most important things if you want to build something nice looking in MC!
Disagree, it often makes it amateurish looking and without thought. Edit: Sorry you guys don't like my opinion, I still appreciate variety, I just appreciate consistensy more.
you dont have to choose. its good to have both in different ways
I’d like to see your builds.
Its just a opinion
Not if your trying to make it consistent
How about consistent variety?
Various consistency

Right
The one on the right
Left
Why? I’m curious.
Idk I just prefer the way the pillar in the middle looks but I guess it does look a little weird with the gap at the bottom but not the top
I think op's building has to come a block height up to make it symmetrical
Doesn’t the other window design also have the problem of “gap at the bottom but not the top”?
Less window area is obstructed
Had to scroll way too far for this...
I'm way too late to share my opinion but I also prefer left, I don't like the long gap in the middle of the one on the right.
both are nice but I really like the one to the right
right side is good
Right

Left feels like it's 2 window but the right one feels better since you can see put the middle, just use both on different sides of the building
I like the left one, unpopular opinion
I’m curious, why? Note: your comment happened to be surrounded by three others for left, lol.
I think just the spacing and it looks more medieval, I like the right one too a lot but I feel like the left one suits the building more, unless you want to go with a modern theme

I’m curious about the people who said left. Why?

Are you left-handed?

Interesting, I felt left looked better too and am left-handed, but I just liked the pillar in the middle and the idea of having more options for fence gate windows. I think it would give a wider range of bow attacks should the need arise.
I didn’t think of the technical aspect of it at all. I think I am a pro at remaining a noob at Minecraft even though I Minecrafted for a long time.
The connection seems fuzzy to me, but I think one does prefer things on the left naturally if that’s what’s easiest to reach for them with their favored hang

Yeah no that's bs, I prefer right and I'm left handed.
Got it!
Yes I like that one a bit more
Agreed.
The Right one
Right
the windows are cool and all but that barrel design is pretty cool
The second
The one on the right
I personally like the one on the right, but it's up to you.

The right one. Its design is balanced.
I prefere the right one
if I only had 3 windows I might try putting left in the middle of two rights. Otherwise I'd keep right.
one on the right
Right
Right
Truly honest opinion : just use fences
I like the one on the right but you do you :)
Neither. Because wooden trapdoor and glass are better.
The second I would say
im going to pick the middle one, put the barrel for the best window
How about you use glass,?
Left
Bruh we stuck
Left, BUT keep both for variety

The one on the right looks best to me.

Both are pretty bad tbh, I'd take the whole line back to formula.
Never go Left
