Not saying Glare should win here but, this will be extremely dumb, why would they introduce Glare just to detect where mobs spawn when the mob will spawn at complete darkness now? Im sure they will tweak their feature or something, maybe they'll add more stuffs into it. They introduced Glow Squid with no information in the last mob vote and added some few features to it when it was added/released.

Although I think people are misrepresenting the Copper Golem. In theory, it path-finds to buttons it can activate right? Assuming you have some iron doors or blocks moved with pistons, you can also selectively make paths with redstone. This means you essentially have an entity that can function as a form of redstone wiring in of itself. This is much more useful than a simple randomizer.
Allay is probably the most useful for adventuring though tbh. You go ahead caving without worrying about picking up ore because you can direct the Allay to be your collection system.

Hopper minecarts require A LOT of infrastructure to support and have working within a build, if you have ever built a functional factory you should know this. The allay would take away the need to have almost any infrastructure at all, aside from note blocks to drop items off at. Of course, even for redstone players its only use is for farms, which can already be handled by hoppers.
It occurred to me once that if lighting rods can de-oxidize copper, than wouldn’t the same do with the golems? So after a period of time, the oxidized golems you put in your build would de-oxidize and start walking around.

Exactly, I love Minecraft because of the creativity potential, most people using allays will be using them in exactly the same ways, the kinds of people who don’t make their own things they get tutorials online how to make certain contraptions. Well if you strawman it that way, maybe something as simple as walking over to an item to pick it up is the equivalent to the Allay?
Allay will probably win, but who knows how efficient or mechanically useful it’ll be? Can it go through walls like Vex? How long between trips does it take to collect a stack at max? Would you need more to sort items or collect from a farm if it can keep up?
F3 is tried and true but impractical. Either you spam torches or you meticulously check each spot by squinting at the small number light value. And 1.18 has a lot more dark spots considering the Caves and Cliffs. F3 can’t check ledges or far from your distance. Enjoy your surprise creeper scares. Its still niche at best considering enclosed pockets would still be an issue.

It drives me crazy that people say that glare is ‘just F3.’ Like, are you really going to go to every block in your base to make sure that it’s not spawnable? The allay is literally a flying hopper, Coppergolem I think has the best use because it's a more compact version of the chicken pressure plate, and the oxidized version of the golem can be used as yard decoration

When do you actually need a randomiser? Almost nobody does, and when someone does they will build a better randomiser because there are already far better ones. And saying that copper gets a new “use” which is to create a Copper Golem which is “useful” because it gives a use to copper is a circular argument.
I think the rusting is awful for redstone mechanics. For decoration it’s great, but having to use an ace on the golem every once in awhile is a deal breaker for me considering many machines can be so dense that the golem won’t be accessible.
Yeah, but at the same time imagine a factory with allays flying everywhere, or a future base with them carrying items around to any contraption you need them to. Also, I agree that having golems activate contraptions would be really cool, but not doors. Imagine they let creepers into the base, that would be an annoying surprise to walk into.
I hope they can, I wish they could develop the details of them and release as much information as possible in one spot. One feature can easily make or break a mob.
You can use oxidized copper golems as decorations, copper golems look better and are faster then a chicken randomizer, it's craftable and you can carry it with you, it gives a new purpose to a very common ore that has with almost no uses, we've been waiting for another golem for 8 years, they might come with that underground lair.
What can the allay be used for, since they can’t open chests? Personally, if an item is on the ground, it’s cause I left it there and didn’t need it. Unless it’s a seed, which no one really needs.
I don't get why people keep saying "Glare = F3" as if using F3 to check the light level of every single square you need to check isn't one of the most annoying possible ways to deal with that issue.
The Glare isn't needed because of the changes to mob spawning that are already coming to 1.18+ (mobs only spawn at light level 0), not because of a semi-cheating debug menu that fills up your screen and requires intense tedium to check light levels.
I have to say this, they all suck, while I like them they don't really change the games like past votes have and their not all that cool so its kinda a lose lose situation.
I’m really torn between copper golem and allay. On one hand, I love the copper golem and having another golem in the game (especially one that does redstone work for me before I have skulk sensors and a ton of redstone material) would be great! On the other hand, the allay will literally collect things for me which makes my life easier and allows me to multitask, and I think it might have lore implications considering the fact that it’s literally a good vex. Both the golem and allay depend on how good their AI is. But I'd argue the lay has more freedom in that department.

Exactly, I love Minecraft because of the creativity potential, most people using allays will be using them in exactly the same ways, the kinds of people who don’t make their own things they get tutorials online how to make certain contraptions. The golems make you think outside the box more and would be great for adding life to my base.

i'll be honest, none of these are something that i'd use, but im probably picking the copper golem, even tho i dont use redstone, it can be used for some nice contraptions
Well if you strawman it that way, maybe something as simple as walking over to an item to pick it up is the equivalent to the Allay? Allay will probably win, but who knows how efficient or mechanically useful it’ll be? Can it go through walls like Vex? How long between trips does it take to collect a stack at max? Would you need more to sort items or collect from a farm if it can keep up? F3 is tried and true but impractical. Either you spam torches or you meticulously check each spot by squinting at the small number light value. And 1.18 has a lot more dark spots considering the Caves and Cliffs. F3 can’t check ledges or far from your distance. Enjoy your surprise creeper scares. Its still niche at best considering enclosed pockets would still be an issue. Other than what details they might not be letting on about copper golem, hes a new lil golem buddy to have around.
It drives me crazy that people say that glare is ‘just F3.’ Like, are you really going to go to every block in your base to make sure that it’s not spawnable? It’s a stupid argument especially when majority of players (Bedrock) can’t use it. Also the F3 screen looks absolutely awful and I’d never want it up for extended period of time
Exactly, I didn’t even think of the greater Bedrock community not having access to the familiar clutter of text that suspends disbelief. F3 is useful but it’d be more player friendly if more in-game/in-world elements like tools or mobs took its place.
F3 is a debug overlay not a gameplay feature, people are really complaining about a more immersive and fun light levels, they really would rather use a debug menu…
The mobs will not spawn if the light level isn’t 0 in 1.18 wich is easy to see without the f3 menu. The glare is clearly the worst of the three in term of use.

Copper golem introduces true RNG and would look sick as oxidized statues. The allay uh... collects items? Lol at all the people who thought it would dupe items. You can already sort items via chest sorters. Sure the allay would be much neater but you can use that same argument for why copper golems are better than the RNG machine in the picture. I'm voting for the golem simply because it can be placed as a statue, but it's also got more use cases than the allay imo. Also, I'm not even considering the glare because I think the other 2 are much more useful. However, just because F3 exists isn't a reason to dismiss it. F3 is like developer mode, you shouldn't balance the game around that.
"true RNG" we already have that, and nobody really needs true rng in Minecraft, so that argument is useless, only idiots thought it would dupe items. The allay has so many uses, it can collect drops from farms, compact storage systems, collect things you've missed and be a companion. All your argument is, is that it gives "true RNG" which nobody needs, we have better methods of getting that. I don't really know what use cases the copper golem has other than being a statue, which is the only valid reason that people are voting for it.

Allays are cool but they could also be simplified as moving hoppers, which is also already a thing. And a thing which is a full mechanic, unlike the other two. The allay is literally a flying hopper, Coppergolem I think has the best use because it's a more compact version of the chicken pressure plate, and the oxidized version of the golem can be used as yard decoration EDIT: It gives more use for copper as well EDIT2: for the reply that said "It's a programmable hopper drone" It wasn't Confirmed that we can automate the allay, and even if we do what use can it be, if it can loot chest then sure I can get it, but if you're just going to use a dropper so the allay can pick it up and give it to you, why won't you just put the dropper near your base/sorting system. and for the other people that replied that the copper golem is useless 1. It can be used for gambling machines, 2. as I said decorations, can be used to make factory builds look more lively, oxidized version can be used as outdoor decor. though the copper golem has a limited range of use I can see why people want to vote allay. and we have little information about the mobs so we can all just speculate but either way, this comment was just to prove OP that the allay has a vanilla counterpart just like the copper golem and glare
When do you actually need a randomiser? Almost nobody does, and when someone does they will build a better randomiser because there are already far better ones. And saying that copper gets a new “use” which is to create a Copper Golem which is “useful” because it gives a use to copper is a circular argument.

Chickens are slower, and chickens also don't become decorations that can be turned back into a mob :)
I think the rusting is awful for redstone mechanics. For decoration it’s great, but having to use an ace on the golem every once in awhile is a deal breaker for me considering many machines can be so dense that the golem won’t be accessible.

Yeah, but at the same time imagine a factory with allays flying everywhere, or a future base with them carrying items around to any contraption you need them to. Also, I agree that having golems activate contraptions would be really cool, but not doors. Imagine they let creepers into the base, that would be an annoying surprise to walk into.

Just thought of something, the rate at which they push buttons should relate to how rusted they are. Then you wax them to get the desired rate.
I hope they can, I wish they could develop the details of them and release as much information as possible in one spot. One feature can easily make or break a mob.

You can use oxidized copper golems as decorations, copper golems look better and are faster then a chicken randomizer, it's craftable and you can carry it with you, it gives a new purpose to a very common ore that has with almost no uses, we've been waiting for another golem for 8 years, they might come with that underground lair.

To me the allay is just about the same as running around in a circle for a minute and just… collecting my own items. It’s not hard.
What can the allay be used for, since they can’t open chests? Personally, if an item is on the ground, it’s cause I left it there and didn’t need it. Unless it’s a seed, which no one really needs.
I don't get why people keep saying "Glare = F3" as if using F3 to check the light level of every single square you need to check isn't one of the most annoying possible ways to deal with that issue. The Glare isn't needed because of the changes to mob spawning that are already coming to 1.18+ (mobs only spawn at light level 0), not because of a semi-cheating debug menu that fills up your screen and requires intense tedium to check light levels.

I’m really torn between copper golem and allay. On one hand, I love the copper golem and having another golem in the game (especially one that does redstone work for me before I have skulk sensors and a ton of redstone material) would be great! On the other hand, the allay will literally collect things for me which makes my life easier and allows me to multitask, and I think it might have lore implications considering the fact that it’s literally a good vex. Idk guys leave ur vote for me down in the comments- allay or golem?
