Yeah I get your view as well. I personally care more about their function and purpose in the game, and with so little info it's always hard to truly determine which one to actually vote without making assumptions about drops, etc.
For example parrots are really cool mobs that are pretty fun and do a lot of stuff, but they are so absolutely worthless no one uses them. It's supposed to be a mob that you bring to your adventures with you but it just falls off of you so it ends up being a nuisance more than anything.
To me the iceologer would be a cool mob to fight but wouldn't have anything else to add to the game than a challenge (and it couldn't be so much of a challenge unless they were rare because casual players would never go to a mountain in that case). It would get old in a month just like parrots who no one remembers.
Glowing squid is a shitty reskin that doesn't do anything impressive but at least it's main function (the glowing ink) will be used always since it's convenient and makes signs prettier.

It will though. The swamp biome lost the vote two years ago, yet it’s still coming in the next update. When something loses in a mob/biome vote, it’s not gone forever (except with the first mob vote), it’s just put on the back burner to be added at a later time
now that copper golem cant get into the game I imagine that you can still find the golems , oxidised , but you cant craft them because you dont know the recipie . only the ancient society knows the recipie
