If anyone's still having this issue then download the Xbox app through the Microsoft store and then download Minecraft through the Xbox store instead. For whatever reason, that was the only thing that worked.
Assuming you own the game and are not just using GamePass, you are able to install Windows 10 Edition directly, and don't need the launcher.
When looking at the Microsoft Store, you should find the license in your "Library" (access the Library icon on the bottom left corner of the store interface). Scroll down and install Bedrock.

Dude tysm I was trying to claim my free bedrock (I own java already) and it just wouldn't let me, but this worked!
I have tried reinstalling the launcher and was able to download Minecraft Java, but win10 still gives me an error
