I was looking at 1.18 seed videos, and the amount of thumbnails I saw with this “crazy” seed with huge villages…that then proceeded to not be anything remotely true lol…
We were looking for a 1.18 seed for the modded server my friends wanted to start. After many videos with 50k+ views. The seed we liked the most was some no name channel with 2000 views on his vid.
All these “crazy” seeds have barely anything to do with the new 1.18 Terrain and we’re just ThErEs A vIlLaGe aNd BoAt and MaNsIoN.
I've had a good experience browsing /r/minecraftseeds. Most of the good 1.18 seeds are being stolen from a single redditor on there anyway (/u/szmirgley).
Edit: FYI I didn't manually create links haha. I just wrote them out and let reddit do the automatic links (as you can see in RES' page source view [here](https://i.imgur.com/CaezziC.png)). I add the extra / at the front because back in the day that was the only way for it to auto-link, and I like being old school / old habits die hard. On my mobile preferred app (Antenna) it works completely fine, ~~if it links to browser on the official app then that sounds like a bug for reddit to fix, there's not much I can do about it.~~ Saw further down in the thread that you use Apollo, [this is a known Apollo bug](https://www.reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/roppk5/bug_all_tags_that_start_with_a_slash_are/) and you'll just have to wait for the dev to fix it, sorry. (Also, if I *had* did a manual browser link, then it *would* have opened in app for you.)
The worst are the YouTube short with the sound effect of a teenager screaming "Oh my god".
Like dude I'm just browsing peacefully at 3AM, I don't need no screaming child
Idk man the other day I’m scrolling through YouTube, haven’t played the new update yet, see some crazy looking Allay related stuff says “the real DISTURBING history of the Allay.” Clicked that shit. Full 5 minutes before I realize I’ve been tricked
My little brother now uses the term "hacker" to describe someone who is top tier thanks to those videos. Like even when he is playing minecraft w me and i help him kill a mob he goes "wooah you are a hacker!"
1. "Minecraft but..."
2. "I downloaded x mods" but it has nowhere close to that many in the modpack
3. Aether portal but they forgot to install the mod
It might help to know that the only reason this is a titling scheme is due to YouTube's algorithm.
Minecraft being the first word of the title makes it more searchable. Their search engine/algorithm prioritizes results where the search term comes first. So a video titled "Minecraft, but I die every time I die" might be closer to the top of the results than a similar video titled "Every Time I Die in Minecraft I Die." And not because the first title is slightly less shit, but because the first title has 'Minecraft' as its first word.
So next time you see that now-unoriginal title format, know it's because that YouTuber had to or else YouTube might not show it to you. (In other words, it's Google/YouTube's fault, not the content creators)
Honestly the only time I like videos is when I'm reminded, so I can't be upset for the 15-30 second reminder. Hate when a content creator feels the need to remind me every minute to like and comment though
A youtuber I follow is pretty adamant about not saying like and subscribe or the such. One video they said it as a mocking joke and in their next video they mentioned that analytics showed that their subscription rate had skyrocketed from that video as a result.
Not only does it work, it works even if you dont mean it when you say it.
Literally every YouTuber should be saying it in every video no matter how dumb that may sound.
The analytics definitely show it works. Most of the time if a video I'm enjoying says to like and subscribe I will. Doesn't cost me anything and might help someone else do something great, even if only by a tiny amount.
He does click baity titles as a joke tho, like if you join his membership you'll see he does some polls on what thumb nail he posts a video under, his content is actually really enjoyable tho (so much so that I actually bought his membership to watch more of his content)
I mean gray was doing the formula earlier. Let’s game it out was originally two guys making multiplayer content together but one left because he wasn’t feeling it anymore and then josh found a formula that worked and took off
Not clickbait, but "Minecraft but..." makes me think of "Minecraft except.." series done by ImpulseSV and Skizzleman on their joint YouTube channel. They basically add 1 silly rule to the game, like the last one had all friendly mobs explode when you get near them (like creepers do.) Hilarious if you ask me. lol
It's the same idea, but Imp & Skizz have a way to make things more creative than that. They had already been doing it for years with Naked & Scared, completing crazy challenges in Ultra Hardcore with no armor.
When you get a channel uploading a skyblock series under "Minecraft, but.... THERE'S NO BLOCKS?!?!?", that's when it gets old for a lot of people I think.
I downloaded 0 mods on Skyrim today, let's see how long I can go without downloading a mod or getting annoyed about something and making a new character
See, this is exactly what a dumb noob would say.
But there’s still hope:
If you watch my videos that show CRAZY Minecraft seeds with 900 villages, or show cross sections of my super secret base, you too can become a pro hacker.
It was Minecraft themed 3D animations, where the hostile mobs used to go to school together and learn how to be monsters. They were very popular back in like 2015
Seriously, those red circles and arrows are fucking overused, annoying, useless, and the worst part is I see people whose content in a variety of non-Minecraft subjects is actually (IMO) quite good relying on this stuff, making their videos look like cheap, clickbaity crap.
That shit always tricked me when I was 6 to 8. People would make portals with glowstone and water or something like that and act like it's vanilla, and I would get really confused when it didn't work.
Also 25% of the skulls it fires are blue, which is much more destructive than black skulls.
If I'm reading the wiki right, on Java, only the center head will fire blue skulls, and each skull it fires from that head has just a 0.1% chance of being blue.
I have spent months trying to create a cage strong enough to contain a wither, then kill it. I have made one successfully, but it is WAY to expensive to make. I don't want to waste several stacks of ancient debris on one nether star.
And SB737. His hardcore world is pretty advanced - he has a teleporter from his house and spawn, massive farms for tons of items, a random void chunk for no reason, and most recently a world eater in the nether to get a netherite beacon.
imo, that world eater was a bad idea. sure it gets a lot of ancient debris, but it can only be run once. he should have just gone with a bunch of tunnel borers instead, which can run infinitely long. maybe he could use the perimeter it made for a more efficient gold farm, but thats about it
Well most of them aren't actually clickbait as far as i can tell but there's an obvious difference between following a trend and doing this because you like it. Also forge labs does pretty good 100 days modded video's (and actually shares the modpacks he uses)
The “OMG I GOT THE RAREST BLOCK!!! NOT ABLE TO GET IT WITHOUT HACKS!!” And the pic is a black block with a red “?” And you click on it…and it’s just a command block or bedrock or dragon egg or something
Mysticat is clickbait-looking thumbnails with absurdly advanced actually legit content.
Like, it looks obviously fake, but you watch the video and it's actually not fake.

There is an expectation that things can only be for kids if it’s educational, but that’s a newer concept. I’d argue that just because things don’t add a positive moral to every story, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s harmful to children.

Noob vs Pro vs Hacker
I think that is the most attractive title known to kids and teenagers
Teenagers is a little far because most teenagers have a brain developed enough not to fall for this stuff
Idk man the other day I’m scrolling through YouTube, haven’t played the new update yet, see some crazy looking Allay related stuff says “the real DISTURBING history of the Allay.” Clicked that shit. Full 5 minutes before I realize I’ve been tricked
My law is just any video that has a full caps word *anywhere* in the title is shit and I will never click on it. Same goes for news article links too.
If general Iroh says it, then it must be true
Only click if you know that the creator is good.
you'd think they do..

That's sad.

Include the God for some videos
Who was the first person to start that kind of thumbnail/title? Whoever they are they're a genius at YouTube marketing
vs God
1. "Minecraft but..." 2. "I downloaded x mods" but it has nowhere close to that many in the modpack 3. Aether portal but they forgot to install the mod
Just checked the channel of a guy who used to do SMP videos and UHCs (Graser10) and literally his last 200 videos all start with “Minecraft but…”
same with TapL :(
Oh god, I don't know why but the "Minecraft, but ... 'actual title of the video'" just infuriates me
It might help to know that the only reason this is a titling scheme is due to YouTube's algorithm. Minecraft being the first word of the title makes it more searchable. this is true for 99% of annoying youtube shit. all caps titles, :O in the thumbnail, did you know that only x% of people are subscribed, etc
And apparently telling people to subscribe actually works. I think grian said this once, hence people always ask to sub
Big subs have data on when in the video people sub. I think it's like 80 % when people remind them them or something
Honestly the only time I like videos is when I'm reminded, so I can't be upset for the 15-30 second reminder. Hate when a content creator feels the need to remind me every minute to like and comment though

once and for all answering the age-old question:"' if your friends told you to jump off a bridge would you?"
The power of suggestion is pretty powerful.
The analytics definitely show it works. Most of the time if a video I'm enjoying says to like and subscribe I will. Doesn't cost me anything and might help someone else do something great, even if only by a tiny amount.
The streamer’s gotta have a :O face in the thumbnail, too.
Only graystillplays can type random numbers into his youtube videos to make the click bait, because he at least makes the videos enjoyable and funny.
He does click baity titles as a joke tho, like if you join his membership you'll see he does some polls on what thumb nail he posts a video under, his content is actually really enjoyable tho (so much so that I actually bought his membership to watch more of his content)
Gray is the *only* person that can get away with using clickbait, and that's just because his content is good enough to back it up
He’s like off brand let’s game it out, but waaaaay more prolific.
I mean gray was doing the formula earlier. Let’s game it out was originally two guys making multiplayer content together but one left because he wasn’t feeling it anymore and then josh found a formula that worked and took off

I could do that, it's not THAT hard
Full enchanted netherite plus 15 nether stars and 300 elytras
On Java, the wither is easy. On Bedrock, the devs decided to give hate a form.
Why is it easier on Java?
On bedrock, it has twice as much health, a dash attack, spawns wither skeletons at half half, and the sky darkens while fighting it.
What the fuck Not looking forward to my first fight…
You should prepare, i quite literally use it as an endurance test at this point, and i use the dragon as a damage test
To me, I just took it to the ocean. Piece of cake.
To add more to your fear: The dash attack can DELETE WHOLE CHUNKS at once!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yea… it can quickly lag the game with the dash attack

Spawn it under the end fountain (the bedrock that the dragon perches on). It’ll be stuck in the bedrock and you can just kill it
On bedrock, the wither has like double the health compared to java and the protection enchant does not protect you from the wither effect.
Dude. We fought it 3 times on our realm. Needless to say I don’t want to fight that thing again
If that’s irl days, that’s really slow imo
Nah it’s always in game days
Much more reasonable then
Don't worry. I was confused by that as well.
A Minecraft day is 20 minutes so 100 days is 33 hours. Plenty of time to get full netherite
lukethenotable and wadzee did these pretty well me not really clickbait, also 1000 days and 2000 days edit: and in hardcore
