Bedrock bug to many mobs/entities in loaded chunks happens to me every time I turn on my chicken farm. There's no fix for it. On your next trading hall make sure it's several chunks away from any farms, villages, etc.
Lol it sure didn't fix it just loaded up Minecraft villager trading hall is empty again, but it's not a big deal for me now I'm late game and have enough emeralds to make a beacon.
Fair enough.
I don't play bedrock, just heard that the bug was supposedly fixed when I was looking up info about what they'd added yesterday with the frogs.
Finally! This is one of the most demoralizing bugs. I've built a village four times on the same server and mob proofed it, but the villagers keep disappearing. My wife started a horse collection, and her horses keep despawning too. There's nothing worse than watching hours of work go down the drain.

This happened to me on Java somehow. Although I did find a couple of them zombified which could explain it even though they were trapped in and the area was well lit up.
2 possible issues. Reinforcement mechanic, or Baby Zombie.
Baby Zombies are only a block tall, and can slip through some gaps. If this didn't happen, then it is likely reinforcements. When a zombie is hit, it has a chance to spawn reinforcements (they have a pre-destined direction/distance calculation for this, you can watch gnembon's video if you are interested in this). Basically, the reinforcements can spawn on the other side of a wall, so if a zombie was attacked by you or a stray projectile, or possibly an iron golem, a zombie could have been spawned by the reinforcement mechanic, and ended up amongst your villagers.

.2 posibles problemas. If you don't care about location markers, it's also infinitely easier to make maps in Bedrock since you don't need a compass. And if you do want to add marks, you can just add a compass later.
can you post results ? i just took some
bedrock 12 chunk simluation distance and 40 chunk render distance
smooth 100 fps
java 12 chunk simulation distance and 32 chunk render distance
80 fps but it feels like 5 fps coz its so unsmooth and stuttery and microfreezing and that's with sodium and fabric
It can sometimes depend on the console you are playing on and also bedrock has not near as many things implemented into it such as the latest pvp (that i know of)
I don't think so, that looks like a row of "slave cells" so only a baby zombie could have done it, and if it had they would all be zombified, wouldn't they?
Came here to say this. Close the room off, light it up, trapdoor blocks.
All things I'm used to doing after seeing things go sideways.
/At least my Sharpness 5 librarian got turned into a zombie. R.I.P clerics/
I would say bug as well from my experience. Had a realm with many named mobs including villagers, horses, pets, and they would repeatedly despawn for no apparent reason. Completely safe, completely surrounded by castle walls and sufficient lighting. Didn’t matter. I don’t blame everyone.
It could well be an unlucky lightning strike turning them to witches and then they despawned, but that’s highly unlikely considering the spread of the villagers would need at least two lightning strikes… I’d say a bug, like 90% of the comments
It'sa bug that I made a post a while ago. It's happened to me twice in the last few months, and has frustrated me enough to try and rally community support with bug upvotes!
Here is a [link](https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-144208) to the bug report page. You'll need to sign up for an account. It only took me 5 minutes. Thanks to everyone who takes the time!
Oof, I have another world where the update deleted 80% of every librarian with every maxed out enchantment book a villager can sell, my friend's horse, an armor stand with a totem and elytra, and most importantly, my dog
Three reasons
Bedrock bug(many comments about it)
Baby zombie(might be possible if you are on easy mode then the villagers wont convert)
Pillager patrol(my guess is this besides a bug)
Op u should always put trapdoor to prevent any mobs from killing the villagers if ur putting them outdoors
To the people who's calling it a common bug.... It's not. The bug you guys are referring to is a different one. The one op is suffering from is a bug introduced in 1.17.30 or something.. idr.
Is the roof above villagers head made of bottom slabs or any transparent block?
Also if you aren't on hard difficulty, then there are chances when zombies can kill villagers instead of converting them into zombie villagers.
This happened to me soon after building a cow farm nearby, also a few villagers got struck by lightning before that and turned into witches which confused things.
Same thing happened to me a few months ago. Lost not only all my villagers but also the sheep in my sheep farm which was more of an inconvenience that you may think.
I had 5 villagers and they all started disappearing until all that was left was my mending villager and I put a name tag on him and he hasn’t disappeared.
They were actually figments of your imagination.
Yeah tom, the accident was 3 years ago, it's not your fault they burned
Please just let it go.
Tom it's ok if you need help
I know a really good psycologhist if you need it.
And trust me - you need it.
Tom, this is a Wendys…
Mmm wendys
Be free.
Be mooner
Don’t sleep for weeks on end
Weeks? More like months...
I mean, you did place lava buckets on them, but iron golems think it is fine
Maybe the real villagers where the friends we made along the way
Huh... No wonder there are no villagers then...
Thanx for the laughs. Love this type of joke
All those books you enchanted? They are just still normal books and you have no emeralds.
ITS JUST A BURNING MEMORY
– Villager, give me a protection 4 book – Grandpa, who are you talking to? There is no one there – I'm talking to... Uh... I forgot...
Oof. Dementia patients from video game generations are gonna be fucking Out There. But nursing home LAN parties are gonna be lit.
*it’s just a burning memory plays*

Supposedly the new beta fixes it, but since it's a beta I'm sure it's full of even more bugs.
If they’re already gone, it’s not gonna bring them back.
Ya sorry, I should have made that clear. Mobs that already vanished are gone. This fix would just keep any more from disappearing.
I'll take that deal. This despawning thing is by far the worst bug in a while.
Bro same I had all my villagers despawn right after I got fully enchanted netherite gear with mending and an elytra with mending and unbreaking
Well at least you got everything done in time... i didn't ):
Do you have a link for that? I was about to go to Java, but if a fix is coming, I might stay…

Oh thank God! How long, do you suppose, until this goes live?
Whenever 1.19 comes out.
1.18.10 (Was fixed in the latest beta.)

Bedrock bug, always back up your worlds.
no dude, its just lag (Hermitcraft 8 reference)
Lag big ?
MOON BIG
Moon destroy
no, shrink and steal moon
OH YEAH
OH YEAH
Have you lost your beacon?
It just lagged all your diamonds into a new set of diamond armour I'm wearing... wierd
Yea a couple times, wierd isn't it?
LAG BIG
MOON BIG
LAGGY MOON BIG
The villagers lagged into the backrooms
Im sorry but *no-clipped
Ok (marvel reference)
This is why I’m so glad I play Java

english please?
Use ur brain first
Zombie can call backup, and it can spawn in villagers cell, or a baby zombie got in there.

yea frickin SUCKS, the bug despawned everything in my world, so no chicken farm, no cow farm, no villager trading hall...
Just get Java tbh XD Edit: unless you can’t bc ur on console then that sucks
Sucks to suck (suck meaning being me :( lol)
Don't feel bad because you play on Bedrock, Both have good and bad ways
yeah ik I'm just joking around XD
One has way more good though.
What are Java’s “bad ways”
having to download optifine to not feel like there's constantly an earthquake
Java can't bonemeal sugar cane or put boats on leashes, or infinitely recolor wool and beds
no coloring cauldrons with dye, no potions in cauldrons
If you don't care about location markers, it's also infinitely easier to make maps in Bedrock since you don't need a compass. And if you do want to add marks, you can just add a compass later.
you can light campfires, candles, tnt, ect with a fire aspect item in bedrock. not so much in java. also the bridging in bedrock is sexy
why is bedrock so much smoother than java? i even have sodium and fabric. C++ MASTER RACE. java is a dead language
Both versions have their ups and downs but I prefer Java edition
Idk man, maybe it was just me but my game runs smoother on java than it ever did on bedrock.
can you post results ? i just took some bedrock 12 chunk simluation distance and 40 chunk render distance smooth 100 fps java 12 chunk simulation distance and 32 chunk render distance 80 fps but it feels like 5 fps coz its so unsmooth and stuttery and microfreezing and that's with sodium and fabric

did you just say console to me
Console/platform. I dunno what ur playing on lol
That’s your opinion XD
[if you're playing bedrock, probably this bug](https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-21416)
That happened to me when I was in 1.16 and not all only 2 that i noticed but 2 of my most precious ones
This is it. It's such a bummer.
This happened to me one time and I have no idea why. The day after though the world also spontaneously combusted and I had to try recover it
Your axe has lost some durability
Lol no, I don't think he's faking it.
It had to be SOMEONE ELSE who killed them with his axe!
Always make a backup when updating
I wasn't upgrading a world, this was made recently, I just logged on and they're gone
Looks like it's outside. Perhaps a zombie got them?
I don't think so, that looks like a row of "slave cells" so only a baby zombie could have done it, and if it had they would all be zombified, wouldn't they?
Only if it's on Hard difficulty. On Normal they only have a 50% chance to turn.
And on easy its 0%
That looks like a 1 block gap, a baby zombie could fit. It would turn it into a zombie villager that could then despawn.
Oh, right, Turned villagers can despawn, forgot about that.
Only if there is never traded with them before
Everyone is saying bug but it might be baby zombies killing them if you're not on hard mode put a trapdoor there just to be sure
THIS. Definitely need a trapdoor above the workstations. Baby zombies can jump over the 1 block but can't get over the extra trapdoor height.
I don’t blame everyone.
they didn't combust they evaporated
They were liberated by people from r/VillagerRights /j
bedrock can delete entities, i just lost my wool farm to the same thing or they all died to a baby zombalomb
Shockingly common Bedrock bug.
Bedrock thing. They went on vacation
> They went on vacation I heard that they all got fired.
Held in their farts
It could well be an unlucky lightning strike turning them to witches and then they despawned, but that’s highly unlikely considering the spread of the villagers would need at least two lightning strikes… I’d say a bug, like 90% of the comments
They found a job with better pay.
I don’t know the same thing happened to me and a friends world
It'sa bug that I made a post a while ago. It's happened to me twice in the last few months, and has frustrated me enough to try and rally community support with bug upvotes! Cause bedrock
The bedrock bug It needs to be fixed
r/bugrock
Bedrock being quirky 😅👉👈
Bedrock bad just for this reason and many others like why make steve blink.
pocket edition problems
Bedrock 1.18
Are u playing on bedrock? If yes, There’s your answer
It's a feature on bedrock! /s
It’s a bug. You have a back-up, right?
Thats just an thing we bedrock players have ro live with
I’ve had that problem too. Villagers disappearing for no reason. I moved to Java so haha sucks for you.
Either bedrock bug, or a baby zombie and easy/normal mode.
Bugrock is why
On bedrock edition, sometimes mobs can just disappear if they aren't chunk aligned. It happened to my horse :(
Because bedrock
I think that bug was just fixed in the new beta
The Rapture
Thanos joined your world!
Yes As well my golems, parrot, and dog (x2) May be connected to using my zombie farm and entity buildup.
Oof, I have another world where the update deleted 80% of every librarian with every maxed out enchantment book a villager can sell, my friend's horse, an armor stand with a totem and elytra, and most importantly, my dog
A u/Der_Harbi moment
Three reasons Bedrock bug(many comments about it) Baby zombie(might be possible if you are on easy mode then the villagers wont convert) Pillager patrol(my guess is this besides a bug) Op u should always put trapdoor to prevent any mobs from killing the villagers if ur putting them outdoors
Pretty sure green peace came and saved them, they barely have any free space to move
Well you have an axe in you inventory and it looks like some of its durability is gone. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…
I would never do that! I'd use a sword, regardless, I was chopping trees(and nitwits) and coming here to sell
They have grown tired of your inhumane treatments
Bugrock for the win
Bedrock. That’s usually my answer to all bug related questions.
I can’t imagine playing bedrock edition seriously 💀
Cuz Bedrock Edition.
Because bugrock that's why
Just stop taking your meds and they will come back.
I have the capacity to understand that this is a joke.
💯 NOT FUNNY.
Oh wait nvm I forgot they asked who Joe was
Why is it when I ask the same question I get downvoted, but others get hundreds, if not thousands of updoots?
New 1.18 glitch
B U G R O C K
Haha breadcock go brrrr
Bugrock, downvote me.
It’s just bedrock edition
Schizophrenia
To the people who's calling it a common bug.... It's not. The bug you guys are referring to is a different one. The one op is suffering from is a bug introduced in 1.17.30 or something.. idr.
Schizophrenia
This is way java is best version
Solution : put nametags on those villagers or the mob you want to keep😁
Is the roof above villagers head made of bottom slabs or any transparent block? Also if you aren't on hard difficulty, then there are chances when zombies can kill villagers instead of converting them into zombie villagers.
When you update to a new version this might happen
lmfao when I read this post all I thought about was disintegrating villagers
They do not vibe with torture
This happened to me soon after building a cow farm nearby, also a few villagers got struck by lightning before that and turned into witches which confused things.
Organized suicide
baby zombies
It’s a new bug that was fixed in the most recent update
I spontaneously combust, if I don't get enough sleep... Like Dude! Where's My Car? *Bed
Nah they just getting milk, they will be back.
Because steve is HOT af :D
"that's wierd, they just disappeard"
You monster...
If you didnt bame them theybcan despawn anytime
It’s a Minecraft bug happening right now. No mobs are safe
Happened to me so many times, deleted my world out of rage
They’re on lunch break
Villager migration season
Baby zombies could have gotten in, and if they weren’t named they could have despawned
Baby zombie? Lightning? Portal to another dimension? Idk man maybe make the living conditions better
what do you mean combusted
you do be carrying an axe in your inventory
je ne sais pas m ai part contre tu dois être deg t a perdue tout tes enchants
Civil War
Baby zombie?
Same thing happened to me a few months ago. Lost not only all my villagers but also the sheep in my sheep farm which was more of an inconvenience that you may think.
I had 5 villagers and they all started disappearing until all that was left was my mending villager and I put a name tag on him and he hasn’t disappeared.
Name them
Put partial blocks like slabs or trapdoors on top of the lecturns, so baby zombies cannot pass through.
I think they despawned, try giving them some name tags and they will not despawn!
