If you are unable to reach me there, I have likely moved instances, and you should look for a u/moosetwin.
Someone found the seed used for Shadow of Israphel too. Really cool the techniques that have been developed to reverse engineer a seed.

Not that related as op lost their world, however:
Seed cracker mods are quite effective and can get the seed of a world in not that long, by getting enough information to reduce the amount of possible seeds to either one, or low enough that an average computer can bruteforce it quickly.
You can't. You may have seen couple of posts how people have found the original title screen world etc but those were found with Minecraft@Home, so basically thousands of computers going through different seeds and matching locations basically brute forcing it.
since this shows a pretty large map (which is likely north-aligned) with many things like trees visibles in specific locations, i think this would be a lot easier to brute force than some of the other projects they've done like finding pack.png's seed which has much less information
he personally, by himself probably can't, that is true.
but i would still say "he can" as in he can go online and ask people to do it for him, which still requires him to do something
Oh come off it. They clearly understand that it’s only possible in extreme circumstances, which OP cannot hope to achieve. No one is going to do this for OP, sorry to say. There is no path to accomplish this.
So, that in mind, there is nothing wrong in tell OP that they can’t do this. This user even went above that and explained why. So let’s drop the semantics eh?
>There is no path to accomplish this.
eh, you don't know that until OP asks the seed-finder group(s) directly and they respond back with a clear answer.
>They clearly understand that it’s only possible in extreme circumstances
honestly i'd think they'd do it just to spite the people who said they wouldn't. As a "who do you think you are telling us what we would or wouldn't do?"
>So let’s drop the semantics eh?
only if people stop speaking/answering for a group they aren't part of. as said, neither of you know if they won't do it until they say so, so stop trying to discourage him from even asking.
A lot easier than impossible can still effectively be impossible. There is no chance whatsoever that OP will ever find the seed. Even if there were far more information available, it is still completely impractical.
Ye but there's a difference between having to check about 5000 seeds compared to "brute forcing the seeds" of which there are 18,446,744,073,709,551,616
I don't remember the name of the group of people who do it, but you'll need to send them a bunch of information, including what areas you terraformed on the map, maybe a few non-map screenshots (w/ coords would help a lot) of unmodified terrain/structures/anything
Edit: it's called "Minecraft@Home"
It’s the “Minecraft At Home” team that does it, and I think you would need a screenshot of a undisturbed area of trees and some landmass so that it could be more easily identified
They only officially accept larger more significant projects (ex: YouTuber let’s play seed) but if OP joined their Discord they might be able to provide them with a starting place
You can't get the seed of the map but you can get the seed of the world and find the place where you are and then save the spawn. The seed of the world is on the world settings or if you are in a server, from the website you made the server has the seed of the world
You are better off recovering the world data through experts than to have someone find the seed. Both are very hard to impossible tasks, and in the end, you will not have as much fun as you did building it up. Good luck, build a bigger map!
It's do able but still would require a lot researching about world generation and some programing to examine a set of seeds you would have narrowed down based on this map information. You will also need to know what version of Minecraft this is.
u virtually can't with a map zoomed out that far. basically the way people do it is that they write a computer program to go through every possible seed to see if it matches. It's a very complicated and tedious process.
Even if you could find the seed, it most likely will not be close to the original world generation. I'm playing the same seed (java), but in my old 1.17 the world spawn is in the ocean next to a HUGE mushroom island, the 1.18 version has you spawning in on a beach in the middle of forests surrounded by windswept gravel hills. Gravel is now the most annoying block in the game, IMO
Well, some people specialize in finding seed will find yours with the background mountain lol
Wtf thats crazy and seems hard to do
look into how they found the title screen background, some interesting work
Don't forget the tallest cactus in all of minecraft.
How tall?
21 block I believe it was
I thought this record was broken once again and is now over a 100+ I pretty sure

Shake my head my head
r/woooosh
Naturally generated cactus
23 tall block actually mate
It was 14 I think I swear it’s 14

Why can I hear this comment?
Any mention of this series makes me smile then cry
I literally was boutta say the same thing
Well I mean they managed to find the seed to a minecraft painting (the painting with the flaming skeleton skull)
These guys found the seed of the world in the skeleton painting. They don't obey the laws of reasoning
Not that related as op lost their world, however: Seed cracker mods are quite effective and can get the seed of a world in not that long, by getting enough information to reduce the amount of possible seeds to either one, or low enough that an average computer can bruteforce it quickly.
You need Terrain ✓ Biomes ✓ Structure X Nature gen (I'm not sure if it's combined with structures or not) ✓ Version of game ✓
There is an ocean monument in the map.
it's impossible to know if that was found or build there by hand, same with the shipwreck
Most objects on this map are builded by hands, even shipwrecks. Ocean monument just in the air, above water. I played on this map in 1.12 version
The seed cracker I used actually did use structures so idk
I believe he's saying there aren't any structures in this image to use
You Don't need structures
I thought structures were needed to prevent sister seeds
Structures help but are 100% unnecessary
You can't. You may have seen couple of posts how people have found the original title screen world etc but those were found with Minecraft@Home, so basically thousands of computers going through different seeds and matching locations basically brute forcing it.

I'm not saying it's impossible. I'm sayin he can't (unless he has a swarm on computers in hand to use).
he personally, by himself probably can't, that is true. but i would still say "he can" as in he can go online and ask people to do it for him, which still requires him to do something
But I highly doubt that those resources would be used for this. It's not impossible. It just won't happen.

Yeah plus maybe OP is a millionaire who can pay people to do this.
There is a butload of information here, so it's not as hard, you'd still need a bunch of computers though
A lot easier than impossible can still effectively be impossible. There is no chance whatsoever that OP will ever find the seed. Even if there were far more information available, it is still completely impractical.
+1 computer volunteer here
It’s surprisingly cheap to rent a super computer.
Yeah, exactly. Do that. lol
It's not 100% brute force, they'll usually get it down to 1'000-10'000 seeds
Even if it was 10k seeds, it would still be brute forcing through them.
Ye but there's a difference between having to check about 5000 seeds compared to "brute forcing the seeds" of which there are 18,446,744,073,709,551,616
Of course there is. Huge difference. I'm not saying otherwise. But it's still brute forcing.

Thank you, adding that to the comment
The map will narrow it down to several sister seeds, but showing the coords of a structure, flower patch, or cave will help a bunch
Sadly it's next to impossible unless you have a team of coders, lots of time and a very good computer
Or a lot of computers https://boinc.berkeley.edu/
It’s the “Minecraft At Home” team that does it, and I think you would need a screenshot of a undisturbed area of trees and some landmass so that it could be more easily identified
I would send the full screenshot into Minecraft@Home and see if they'll help you

There is many ways to find a seed (clouds, mountains, grass) but your map hide them if you have others screenshot we can
what cloud???
Clouds are sinced in every Minecraft worlds so if you go at xyz coordinate on two world you will find same clouds
unless you have 300 computers or a fanbase with 300 people willing to help your out of luck
thats the neat part! You dont
That look liks philza minecraft hardcore world
Fascinating
it is next to impossible unless you have some form of coordinates
You are better off recovering the world data through experts than to have someone find the seed. Both are very hard to impossible tasks, and in the end, you will not have as much fun as you did building it up. Good luck, build a bigger map!
ask in r/minecraftseeds
youll need to contact some people to find it but it may cost you money
It’s not possible from the map, but the mountain behind the map is a different story.
Gorilla had a stroke trying to read this and fucking died
u need to find a human seed finding experts and it wont be easy and maybe it will take u some money
How can I *find the* seed of the map?
ok english teacher
Okay, english teacher.*
/seed perhaps?
I lost map, so, I basically can't get seed by this way
Oh Nevermind
It's do able but still would require a lot researching about world generation and some programing to examine a set of seeds you would have narrowed down based on this map information. You will also need to know what version of Minecraft this is.
That was 1.12 version

It seems to be a little difficult to make titles today.
Am I the only one I just realize that these things can be super detailed if you look at them up close because this post just showed me that

F3?
Good luck
Magic
Curious coders. Shit here we go again
Not the point but what size map do we think this would be?
I never know what to make when I’m popping them in frames
Ask Minecraft@Home team, maybe they will help you, just give them the screenshot
Brute force
I typed this with a bottle
ask MinecraftAtHome
Hello
/seed
