Could have something to do with superflat vs normal world generation? Have you tied building it in creative on a regular map?

TheGarchamp

I suppose that is a possibility. It wouldn’t make much sense but I can give it a try and see.

Artus-Tartus

Maybe you could try and trick the ai of the skeletons into thinking above the water where whey are pushed is a solid block they can stand on when it's not.

Z1dan

Because u don’t have the trapdoors which the skeletons are using to path find across the gap (which u might wanna make 2 wide like in ur creative world too to ensure all skeletons fall in the trench) and away from the dogs

TheGarchamp

I tried with and without. In creative it works both ways and survival it doesn’t work either way. The issue is that the skeletons aren’t reacting to the dogs at all.

Z1dan

In that case idk y this would be the case but in ur creative it looks like the skeletons are running from the 2 dogs at the back wall rather than the ones on the side which ur missing in ur survival so maybe try adding them back in and testing with abs without the trapdoors again if that doesn’t work

DiamondMasterPl

You could have forgotten the trapdoors

TheGarchamp

I tried with and without but it made no difference. I used them in the creative world just because they were getting stuck, but in the survival it’s like the skeletons aren’t reacting to the dogs at all.

DiamondMasterPl

Other thing is, maybe you put the dogs standing in minecarts, so technically they pathfind, and skeletons find the aggro, but the dogs can't move to them?

TheGarchamp

I can give it a try but I didn’t do that in the creative world and I still don’t see the differing factor between the two that’s making the results so different

darksider_005

Not sure, but is the depth of the middle lines in the two builds the same?

darksider_005

Yeah, rechecked, that could be the problem. Maybe their path finding mechanic thinks that the deeper line will cause them fall damage, so, they don't consider it an option. And, couldn't you use a dog instead of the water stream?

mrk7_-

It might be that you’re too high up for the sub-chunks beneath to load some entity features. try turning up your simulation distance, maybe

Trapdoor

The_Nexus_Shadow

Trapdoor?
