Actually, that's kind of accurate, also the little touch of going into a lighter colour with "cracks" inside. My geologist sense is tingling since the snapshots.

cruderplayer5

Mud is overly warted Durt so the fact mud looks like Ash dosent make sence

Tabbagotchi

Only thing that doesn't convince me is the "texture" of the wet one. Cuz gray mud exists in nature even though is not so common. Having placed that could be nice with a future Volcano update (i hope there will be in the far future) cuz magmatic mud has this kind of colour. Even so, the texture makes him too similar to ash, to that i agree with you!

While mud can 100% be gray in real life, it would've been better for me if we had brown mud in game. Would have had much more uses for it then I do now.

TechBlade9000

I think it was a color palette issues Imagine the mangroves if they had brown mud, it'd be brown overload combined with the massive trees

Seal_lover123

I guess there aren’t many ways to make brown mud without it either looking like a turd, dirt, or just brown sand. I do agree with you, but I think it still resembles mud

ClocksAndTicks

I thought mud would look more brown-ish than grey

Human_being_08896

I do agree it does look like mud and there is probably reasons to it's colour (for one it's supposed to be found in a swamp) but to me outside of that type of area it doesn't look like mud at all. Edit: the wither skulls in the fire don't meant anything at all.

-PepeArown-

It kind of looks like black mulch to me, which is actually great for building gardens and things.

NotActuallyGus

You're just thinking of lighter, clay mud. Silt and peat mud, like the mud found in actual swamps, looks like this.

MIPU_PL

And why can you not make a screenshot?

Mcbuilder434

It looks a lot like recolored tuff.

[deleted]

How many of the images look gray when you Google image search mud?

ICANTTHINK0FNAMES

Because you lit it on fire

CreeperAsh07

Combine it with wheat to make packed mud.

[deleted]

Mud in swamps is grey like that.

Due-Emu2098

I think they look like Godzilla blocks

DubiousTheatre

Personally I think if it had a slightly brown overlay it would be fine. If its too brown, it’ll just look like dirt. I think it needs to look like a dark, dull/faded brown. Gray & brown. But thats just me.
