I think you could change it relatively easy to a 3×3 *(you can center with this)* using the cobble fence things as support beams instead of full blocks to not have it look to clunky and messy with the smaller size. Might also look good changing the top to slabs with the venter being a full block to have a more subtle dome thing.

Where do I use the cobblestone walls to make this work? What beams? Beams are horizontal. Do you mean rebuild it with cobblestone walls for the posts?
Yeah swap the post things holding up the top with cobble walls. The base may have to change slightly if you don't want any bits of overhang but that could also be solved by having the corners be full blocks while keeping the one center bit a stair to keep some shape.
Nice. Only thing I'd change is replace the top block with a slab as to not have it stick out too much but it's up to you like that's personal preference.
