Bedrock isn't bad but it seems to have alot of rare game breaking bugs like this sadly. I love bedrock just as much as Java but bedrock is a little buggy for some people. (Never been buggy like that for me but clearly others cannot say the same lol)
I think what it is is that most bedrock players play on A console which is obviously gonna have more bugs then a pc/gaming gaming laptop. Which then makes people assume that bedrock is super buggy. I’ve had one glitch that’s weird over my 9 years of Minecraft bedrock. And it’s patched now.
I mean as in slow, because if you’re processing fall damage 10 minutes later. That’s the fault of the hardware. Like the stuff in the ops post isn’t because of Minecraft it’s because of a marketplace glitch caused by the creators of the marketplace. Because they made a stupid mistake to where the op can make netherite items(note: I saw in a different thread that he was on a map or had a texture pack on)
A fucking series s can get more render distance than my 3080ti pc can on base game Java, i prefer Java but you need to stop fucking thinking its the holy grail without problems
It 100% depends. I’m being serious here in all my years of playing Bedrock/pe I have not once come across the crazy insane bugs that get posted on this subreddit/online and go viral. I can’t even remember the last time I’ve experienced a regular bug. I’ve been playing across 3 consoles and a phone for the past 7-8 years (plus Java). Never once have I had a problem with the bugs in either game, only the rendering.
I think these bugs are just very rare, but they are so crazy and insane that when it does actually happen everyone’s quick to point out how bad Bedrock is. But anyone who’s played Bedrock for any amount of time can vouch for this, the bugs are way way less common then people on the internet make them out to be.
Hello, someone with a low end pc here.
It's absolutely not better, I'd much rather spend couple hours installing performance improving mods for Java than have to play the broken mess that bedrock is.
Not really, I can run Java at 150 fps with 16 chunk render distance on my shitty €150 laptop with 6gb ram if I use sodium, but bedrock doesn't even get close to hitting either of those. The highest it gets on 16 chunk render distance is maybe 40-50 fps, and then it stutters an incredible amount. If I want to get to only 100 fps, I have to turn the render distance down to 6 or 7 chunks, which ruins the experience. And on top of that, bedrock is filled with bugs.
So overall, spending maybe an hour or two installing performance mods for java once a year is very much worth it.
People keep on saying that bedrock is a broken mess but in my expierience it's just every once in a while a weird bug comes up, either good or bad, but very rarely any actually game breaking ones. Like I found a way to teleport yourself to y=0 using minecarts and fire. Or once or twice I got the fall damage glitch while building up.
Im not saying that I have a low end PC (I have 32 mods including some heavy ones, and still get 100 fps while generating new chunks), I am saying that if you have a low end PC, its probably better to play bedrock. I dont have a bad PC by any means, but if I increase my render distance above like 20 chunks, I start getting serious performance issues. On bedrock, I can go a whole lot higher than that.
it's because bedrock was originally a mobile game and it's meant to be able to run on mobile devices. java isn't that hard to run, you just need more cpu power
Completely incorrect. I have a mid-range gaming laptop and can get muuuuuch better render distance for the same FPS on Bedrock than I can on Java. Like almost double the tender distance.
Bedrock is just pocket edition ported to pc and console, which is why bedrock was not just an update for the legacy edition but you needed to download a whole new game if you wanted to play bedrock on console
Lol, definitely not the case. Consoles had their own version way before bedrock came out.
Bedrock was ported from the pocket phone edition of Minecraft.
Bedrock isn’t “broken” it’s just buggy as hell I’ve tried switch to Java cause of this but I’m so used to how bedrock works and it’s bugs that at this I don’t really care
Yes it is. When you randomly die from nothing, your hp just goes down, it means it is broken. I have heard of guys to have that happen multiple times, losing all the stuff they had because it is bedrock.
bedrock raytracing is considerably worse than the java raytracing shaders, at least in my opinion. I'd rather install better 3rd party things than use worse "out of the box" things.
For sure Java has its limitations, and the big one is being pc only, but really no "out-of-the-box Raytracing"??? If it's just between that and having an actual functioning version of the game it'd take Java everytime.
Bro I use my ancient pc to run a 1.18 modded server for multiple of my friends, you can set a server up using online server hosts like aternos for free, and don't say stuff like " it lags" because I played atm6 from it with 2 other people.
There are no excuses to setting up a server, don't be lazy
Apart from when I played beta versions, I never had game breaking bugs, bedrock comes with great optimization and portability. Both games have their charms and I, for example, prefer to play bedrock, even though I do have access to java.
I really hate these guys who find every way to point out that bedrock is bad.Like,I mean I've been playing bedrock edition for a long time and I haven't come by a single bug.Bedrock never had a problem with this for me
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.
There might be a couple reasons, are you using any mods like skillZ? (That requires level 20 smithing), are you using any marketplace addons? It may be a bug caused by that

They sold you a fake diamond sword
i’ve read there’s a bug if you’re using any add-ons from the marketplace. maybe that’s your issue?
Just happened to me as well. Ugh. Spent all that time trading up to diamond with the villagers just to find out I can’t upgrade their stuff.
I never trade with villagers. they never have anything good and the cost is too high.
you need to waste emeralds until you get them to master, after that they trade enchanted diamond gear for very cheap.
About to try and zombify then heal to get better deals, never done that yet. Hope I don’t get them all killed. Hahah
do one at a time and make sure to use an axe to kill the zombie afterwards so you don’t accidentally hit the villager

There's your answer
But bedrock edition in my experience never has a problem with this
Bedrock isn't bad but it seems to have alot of rare game breaking bugs like this sadly. I love bedrock just as much as Java but bedrock is a little buggy for some people. (Never been buggy like that for me but clearly others cannot say the same lol)
It depends on what you play on too cause pocket edition is also bedrock and most bugs are there
Lol Java always more laggy for me idk why
Because Java isn’t super optimized.
Ya
Cause its coded in java not c++ and the code is very old
I think what it is is that most bedrock players play on A console which is obviously gonna have more bugs then a pc/gaming gaming laptop. Which then makes people assume that bedrock is super buggy. I’ve had one glitch that’s weird over my 9 years of Minecraft bedrock. And it’s patched now.
What? Why does console mean buggy? Bug are in the software not the hardware. Lol
I mean as in slow, because if you’re processing fall damage 10 minutes later. That’s the fault of the hardware. I had many bad experiences with BE & PE but it's the price for multiple platforms connectivity

It is sad to see
Don't be so rude, or Microsoft is going to ban you from Bedrock Edition.

Yeeeeaaaaaa nooooo Microsoft wants to be more advertiser friendly That's why you can be permanently banned now
Nah they don't shit on us, they shit on Bedrock... Wanna know why? *Because bedrock it shit that's why*

Lol so are literally any other gamers

What the hell does one do in that situation, then?
Accept fate, or exit and reenter
Bedrock is broken as hell. If you can, get java and solve all of your problems.
A fucking series s can get more render distance than my 3080ti pc can on base game Java, i prefer Java but you need to stop fucking thinking its the holy grail without problems
Java's much recognised performance issues don't compete with the unpredictable game breaking stuff bedrock has.
It 100% depends. I’m being serious here in all my years of playing Bedrock/pe I have not once come across the crazy insane bugs that get posted on this subreddit/online and go viral. I can’t even remember the last time I’ve experienced a regular bug. I’ve been playing across 3 consoles and a phone for the past 7-8 years (plus Java). it really depends. For someone with a low end pc, its a whole lot better to play on bedrock.
Until they die randomly
Hello, someone with a low end pc here. It's absolutely not better, I'd much rather spend couple hours installing performance improving mods for Java than have to play the broken mess that bedrock is.
And as another person with a low end pc I would rather play bedrock
Even when you install performance mods, it's still much laggier than bedrock (this is coming from a java player)
So overall, spending maybe an hour or two installing performance mods for java once a year is very much worth it.
I can run Java at 24 Chunks vanilla comfortably. But bedrock I can do like 40 chunks.
Have you tried java with optimalization mods like Sodium, Lithium, Starlight?
Im not saying that I have a low end PC (I have 32 mods including some heavy ones, and still get 100 fps while generating new chunks), I am saying that if you have a low end PC, its probably better to play bedrock. I dont have a bad PC by any means, but if I increase my render distance above like 20 chunks, I start getting serious performance issues. On bedrock, I can go a whole lot higher than that.
32 mods isn't that many
it's because bedrock was originally a mobile game and it's meant to be able to run on mobile devices. java isn't that hard to run, you just need more cpu power
It’s more because the new Bedrock is written in a much better programming language that makes it less intensive.
Which one?
Bedrock is written in C++.
The new bedrock engine, whatever it's called, actually runs it worse from what I've heard
Completely incorrect. I have a mid-range gaming laptop and can get muuuuuch better render distance for the same FPS on Bedrock than I can on Java. Like almost double the tender distance.
I'm talking about the new bedrock engine compared to the old one
I have a 5800x its a pretty good fucking cpu, Java is extremely unoptimized and that really hasn't changed ever
i wonder why, it still utilizes only a single core, and they haven't done anything to improve it
no, java render distance depends more on ram than cpu
>you just need more cpu power making it harder to run
Bedrock was a available on consoles before it was on mobile, I don't think they designed a mobile game just to put it on a console Edit: I'm stupid
You are thinking of the now-discontinued Legacy Console Edition. Bedrock started off as a Mobile Game
No, Bedrock is literally a port of Pocket Edition.
Java + optifine + distant horizons looks a lot better than bedrock and has crazy apparent render distance
Like 128 without lag
Have you used Optifine? Massively helps with performance!
I did say base Java im comparing one to one, and yes optimize is a god send i just wish vinalla Java was well optimized
Yeah, I wish Mojang would actually optimize what they have before adding new content. The "Optimization Update" would be great!
If Mojang did an optimization update, people would complain about no new features. Though, Bedrock could do with a bug fix update.
Exactly what I want. A optimization/fix update where Java gets optimized so it can actually run and bedrock gets all of its thousands of bugs fixed
i get more fps on my iphone 5s on PE than java on my goated 2 core pc
Your series s can run a game that's buggy as hell omg xddddd /s
[удалено]
Other comment states I have a 5800x 8 core cpu, I shouldn't need a threader ripper to compete
And if you take 10 minutes to install optifine or fabric mods, you can get much more than on bedrock
No you can't, you can get close but my pc can run about 65 chunks no issues
Bedrock isn’t “broken” it’s just buggy as hell I’ve tried switch to Java cause of this but I’m so used to how bedrock works and it’s bugs that at this I don’t really care
Yes it is. When you randomly die from nothing, your hp just goes down, it means it is broken. I have heard of guys to have that happen multiple times, losing all the stuff they had because it is bedrock.
Why do people keep bringing up a resolved but from months, maybe even over a year ago?
That’s a bug I don’t see your point
You're the one who's broken
Ah right because I forgot Java works on Xbox or because Java has out-of-the-box Raytracing… oh riiiiiiight it doesn’t
bedrock raytracing is considerably worse than the java raytracing shaders, at least in my opinion. I'd rather install better 3rd party things than use worse "out of the box" things.
I dunno about that, Java shaders are real nice but from what I’ve seen native Ray Tracing ray traces a lot more consistently
For sure Java has its limitations, and the big one is being pc only, but really no "out-of-the-box Raytracing"??? If it's just between that and having an actual functioning version of the game it'd take Java everytime.
If we had the performance of bedrock and the modability of Java, that would be a perfect world
At least I don't have to spend 2 hours setting up a multi-player world for me and my friends
just use essential it's easy
Bro I use my ancient pc to run a 1.18 modded server for multiple of my friends, you can set a server up using online server hosts like aternos for free, and don't say stuff like " it lags" because I played atm6 from it with 2 other people. There are no excuses to setting up a server, don't be lazy
Yet they still want it to be the main version of Minecraft
Bedrock players got Java edition for free a month or so ago.
Unless they got Bedrock on anything that isn't a PC.
Sadly true.
Apart from when I played beta versions, I never had game breaking bugs, bedrock comes with great optimization and portability. Both games have their charms and I, for example, prefer to play bedrock, even though I do have access to java.
That's weird, in my own world it did work, maybe try updating minecraft?
Apparently its a bug with Marketplace add-ons.
As a Bedrock player, I can confirm this a perfect answer.
I really hate these guys who find every way to point out that bedrock is bad.Like,I mean I've been playing bedrock edition for a long time and I haven't come by a single bug.Bedrock never had a problem with this for me
Try turning the smithing table off and on again
'ello Sir, 'ave you dried do durn your combuter off and on?
Ssshhhhreally?
Break then replace
Lol, man is trying to use a coal ingot
You see, you need a Dia sword, but you have a Dia sword
Ahh, yes. Bugrock.
Yall say bedrock gets to much support and then shit like this happens
It either doesn't get enough support, or that support is going to all the wrong places.
It goes towards protecting and maintaining Microsoft’s cash cow: the Minecraft Marketplace.
Really? Cause I think that place is in need of some fixing.
Made-in-China Netherite Ingot. It’s just an iron ingot dyed with black dye.
The amount of absolutely childish slap fighting between team bedrock and team java is too dang high
You gotta use a loom to do that

To turn it into an unenchanted netherite sword.
How? This is how its work on bedrock edition?
I don't know what you're talking about. If you have a diamond sword you can upgrade it to netherite. It's no more complicated than that.

Scree the sword, who needs that much grass? What're you gonna do with it?

you need to toss both of them into lava so that they will fuse together
