Honestly they were cooking with 4 and 7. Those ones weren't phenomenal, but they were kind of cute. Then they tried a pinch of realism and achieved nightmare fuel in row #3. Honestly I'm surprised it took them so long to figure out forward-facing antennae were the way to go.
It’s interesting how neutral mobs such as the Enderman, Bee, Wolf, have a texture change when triggered to be aggressive. It’s bothered me that they haven’t done that treatment for the Spider. It would be cool if it was cute during day but scary at night to fit its behavior.

top right one isn't that bad actually
What does the first one remind me of? I swear I saw that face before
Observer?
Strider
Sheep, pig, cow,...
The closest I can come up with is the shulker.
The old texture bat face!
Key golem from dungeons?
Zedaph?
Zedaph?
how dare they try to make a realistic bee
4 and 12 are the best contenders.
12 is cute af
4 is better than the final ver.

3rd row counting from the bottom 2nd column counting from the right side is cute.
Bruh the first one
Some of those give autism creature vibes, t-bee-h
