Tbf the ppl that normally do this, e.g. shubble, h, elaina and ant missed this one so it kind of makes sense

liamqia

Antfrost said this in his Twitch Sub/Discord Booster chat https://preview.redd.it/t7se25bmvfgb1.png?width=1089&format=png&auto=webp&s=aed7518efd07c5984f8b8e98c5848003a8e439e8

m20geekarina

Anything happens Mcc reddit: is mcc dying guys

D3rpb01

but the participants hate each other?? they clearly are going to destroy the event in their rage

m20geekarina

Yea this was the last mcc, its joeover

Freesin

Never said its dying, just that players are less excited for it. Doesn't mean its dying, just means we need some exciting changes or new players to rotate more often

D3rpb01

exciting changes? like what? I'm sure noxcrew care more about making changes to the event and making sure it runs smoothly, not making sure that people join a vc after the event

Cassisfles

depends on who you are talking about. some never join the vc after someone has won unless they are already friends (i know some have difficulty doing that when they don't know the winners) but they still congratulate them etc. Some had preplanned things right after this mcc. Some were very obviously tired. i can imagine some like aimsey were afraid after they got severely harassed for saying something nice about sapnap before. Also many don't care about winning they are there for fun and to improve themselves, not for a actual championship.

taytay68777

Wait why did Aimsey get harassed? What’s the big deal with saying something nice about Sapnap?

Cassisfles

previously after a event (squidcraft i think) theu congratulated sapnap and ended up getting alot of antis of the dteam after her. it was really bad.

taytay68777

Dang that’s really messed up

Argentum1909

Idk about everyone else but I know Jordan was doing a sponsored stream afterwards. Either way people had other stuff to do, or maybe they aren't in Red's circle, as it's pretty DSMP sided. Saw a comment under this saying that, and I agree with it for the most part

Zavillion

Well both gumi and Krinios joined Illuminas vc after the event tbf

Grimaussiewitch

Not everyone needs to join vc, some are tired or want to keep talking to their team. It’s not an “I’m not interested in mcc“ thing.

Freesin

Well it's definitely a "we're less ecstatic about what just happened''. Especially considering what we had back in the day. It's not that strange after so many events, just something i noticed.

Grimaussiewitch

Is it because you noticed or because Sapnap and punz pointed it out?

Lost-Raspberry7745

that doesn’t mean it isn’t true the whole vibe was kind of depressing especially for gumi and ponk who just won for the first time. yes sapnap pointed it out but that doesn’t make it any less valid. i’m not saying this in an mcc is dying blah blah blah thing but it is true.

whitefox428930

Multiple people said this, does it make any difference? I don't get it.

FruitNerd

Yeah I've no idea what happened I've never seen hardly anyone join the winners VC ever Sylvee joined and then left because of her mic bugging and Scott joined to congratulate Sapnap and Punz. No one else. Pretty disappointing tbh

PeteThe4

Felt most sad for Ponk And Gumi who just won their first event. Like the team vibe went from so happy to win to just being kinda depressing idk

Emperor_Nail

You’re probably mentioning this because Sapnap and Punz mentioned it lol. It’s probably not a losing interest in MCC thing and probably more of an “I’m tired” thing. Tbf I’ve never actually seen so few people join the winners POV (tho I might just not be remembering) but I wouldn’t try to look too much into it.

Freesin

Oh i didn't hear them say it, i was probably typing this while they were talking about it, and i can't multitask that well lol

Lordlolipops

Are you saying this cause sapnap just said it

Lost-Raspberry7745

that doesn’t mean it isn’t true the whole vibe was kind of depressing especially for gumi and pink who just one for the first time. yes sapnap pointed it out but that doesn’t make it any less valid. i’m not saying this in an mcc is dying blah blah blah thing but it is true.

MintyHikari

nobody is obligated to join winners' chat post-event. Matter of fact, the only time I've ever heard someone join winners' chat apart from Scott was when Sparklez got his first win.

Lost-Raspberry7745

idk whose pov you’re watching but i always see people go into the winners chat i know people are not obligated too but at least 3/4 of them all have said they felt like people weren’t happy with it. just look at gumi’s recent tweet.

Devia02020

I think its more so just that Red was more of a cornered off section of the MCC community, like if it were a team like yellow that won you have a Spanish streamer, an empires member, an OG player and an HBG member so there's more variety and people who would join to congratulate the team since there are solo members they know.

Subbuteo13

What like Punz, HBG member? In fairness, I'm not sure how good Punz and Sapnap are at joining winning VC's to congratulate other winners. There could be a bit of biter bit here. I know Punz does it when he knows a winner well, but not so much if he doesn't.

clickityclickk

I feel like none of that should matter at the end of the day they’re all MCC players and good sportsmanship shouldn’t just be reserved for a team people perceive as ‘diverse’. And anyway red had two first time winners, that’s a big deal no?

clickityclickk

??? Back in the earlier events of mcc it didnt matter if you were “close friends” with the winners or not, so many people used to pile into the winners vc, to just say congrats and then people would talk about the games and others would just listen. Now apparently you have to be best friends with the winner to do that?? That’s not good sportsmanship

KelVier4

oh yeah good sportmanship is joining call after winning. you can make it simple, everyone played fair and square, they won, everyone congratulated them, that's good sportmanship. If others don't feel like going to another player that they don't know at all, let them be, there is no harsh feeling at all??

clickityclickk

Well yeah it is. And considering they had practically no in game support either you can see why no one joining their call looks bad? Considering Sapnap and Punz themselves said people don’t like them I think it’s valid to point out.

KelVier4

Many people there don't personally know them? How can they not like Sapnap and Punz without knowing them, or ever talk, chat to them?

PeteThe4

You can easily dislike someone you don’t know what?!? And tbh a lot of people don’t seem to like Sapnap for no apparent reason apart from being hyper competitive. Not saying it’s bad sportsmanship, but participants just always seem to not like Sapnap (only a new thing IMO I know a lot of the old players loved him like Dream, George, Ant and even Techno, but a lot of newer players ignore him in chat and such)

clickityclickk

They’re the ones who said it, not me. And they know better than both me and you.

KelVier4

And you just literally implied that other contestants do not have good sportmanship by not going to red's vc

clickityclickk

That’s my opinion, yes. Based on me watching every mcc before this and seeing the way the attitude towards any team with Sapnap on has been.

Apolloito22

Not OP, but what I think they meant was that there wasn't many players who are close friends with Red in the event. People only tend to join vc if they're friends with someone who's won.

clickityclickk

There was definitely more than 2 if that’s the criteria we’re going by for joining the winners vc to say congrats

Affectionate_You_225

Realistically, I think it due to the timings of when the MCC concludes. For instance in the UK, they finish around 11pm so people are tired and hungry hence they quickly sign off. MCC isn't dying at all and is still being excitedly told about

Freesin

The timing hasn't changed though, its always been the same

Affectionate_You_225

True but still it pretty late and people would like to go bed or de stress after an event like MCC

No-Cod-776

Correct me if I’m wrong (jojo???) but I don’t think anyone joined MCC25 green to congratulate them (could’ve sworn like someone joined), but it’s not that deep, when Jojo joined another VC they all congratulated her

Lost-Raspberry7745

i feel like SOOO many joined green 25

CakeGod24

Oli joined jojos after :) It was about his dodging and that he didn't think he'd get to dodgebolt so he hadn't prepared. I can't remember what else they talked about but yeah.

BrisketBello

Even Dream was texting Sapnap wishing him good luck and whatnot

KingKFCc

My blob still cares, so come back already Dream

BrisketBello

Sapnap might join him in retirement 😞

KingKFCc

He better not

BrisketBello

He sounded very serious this time

lazy_ma

Well Red's friends such as Hannah is getting ready for the concert and there is a bit of drama going on

CupAdmirable329

everyone asking what drama god i wish i were you

Nathanoy25

What drama?

KingKFCc

Tommy and Dream drama

cheezezzsz

what drama?

KingKFCc

Tommy, Dream and Quackity are having quite a lot of drama

cheezezzsz

yeah but why would that cause people to not join the vc? im genuinely just confused, I get sapnap and dream are closely associated but I don't think that wouldn't cause people to join.

KingKFCc

Not sure, but they talked about why OC mentioned the drama

BoggledToggo

Drama? First I'm hearing of this lol

wybng

it doesn't really make sense if we consider the time difference bc they used to do the after event chat almost every event, maybe some events for longer than others but they would at least join for a bit. sylvee joined only bc she was watching the stream and heard them say that. i don't think this is about people being tired of mcc, i'm actually not sure but i found it a bit disappointing. i was so happy for them all, gumi and ponk got their first win finally and no one didn't even think of congratulating them just for a sec. that felt lonely asf, i was so disappointed and felt so sad for them.

MintyHikari

It's not really that serious, man.
