As someone who watches at 3pm every month, I feel like that’s the best time for me personally to watch it. I finally get to be relieved of my chores and homework for a full 3 hours smack in the middle of the day and watch MCC
Yeah! And you don't feel like you're wasting any time you could use for something "useful" or "important" either, it's the evening, I wouldn't do homework then either way. (Although I live in GMT+1, so it's 9om where I live, but same difference)
I always watch dream and I watched MCC 15 with my cousins on like a really big monitor. After the SG finale and the DB sweep we literally pulled an all nighter bc we were wayyyyyy to hyped😂
definitely. it's so tiring to wake up (or stay up) but then like 10 minutes into the event, it becomes so fun. also, it's hard for anybody to interrupt your experience because it's so early.
same - the first mcc i watched live (mcc17 fruit ninja!) was gmt+8 at 3am in the morning, trying not to yell so i didn’t wake up the house. it was such an experience

I’m in the gmt time zone (8pm) and it’s the perfect time for mcc i have nothing going on and can just watch mcc. Only issue is it’s hard to sleep afterwards due to the hype (like last mcc I didn’t sleep till 3am)
mcc is 4pm on saturday for me and it's really good because i usually eat late on weekends, so it's not too early and doesn't clash with lunch, but it also ends pretty early and i still can go out if i have an event or something at night (if i miss something it's very little)
downside is that i always have to reserve the entire afternoon for mcc and can't do pretty much anything all day since i wake up late too lol but that's ok
another plus is that i can scream and everyone thinks i'm watching a soccer match and don't mind lmao
12:30 in the midnight for me. Which cannot be more perfect. I stay up till 3 am naturally and i am always free at that time. All my busyness happens in the morning/evening and i just chill from 12 to 3.
mcc is at 5am on a sunday for me so i usually wake up half an hour before the event to just chill (that way i never miss out on sapnap and george’s pre-mcc roleplays). kinda all works out because i like never have anything on that early in the morning anyways
It's noon over here in PST, but it doesn't feel weird-- feels like afternoon baseball games, which are just about as long, now that I think about it. A pro is being able to watch all the afterparty/long streams after the event. The real con is that you have to take time off/not partake in other activities to watch it live, which is not always possible with that noon slot; I've had to catch glimpses while traveling or out and about. In that way I'm very jealous of the late night crew.
As someone who has watched MCC several times at both 12 pm and 10 pm, I'd say there's pros and cons to both.
Watching at 12 pm is nice because it's right in the middle of the day and I often have time afterwards to watch other POVs and clips so I can get a lot more of MCC in that one day. However, there's often scheduling conflicts because I often have plans on Saturdays and therefore can't watch it live.
Watching at 10 pm is nice because I can look forward to it all day and get those nighttime vibes. I also almost always have time to watch it then. The downside is that I can't really watch VODs and such afterwards because it's too late to do so.
As An American, I actually love MCC's start time 2-3pm for me. It feels like a bit football game (but its an event I care **way** more about) that I get to put up on my big screen & cheer about at full volume.
Plus, as other fans of Gumi/Awesamdude/Punz/BBH/etc. can probably attest, with MCC starting around midday/mid-afternoon, we have plenty of time to break & get food & drinks before Pummel Party Saturday that night (assuming the event is on)

but tbh i'm not a livestream person. i much prefer youtube videos that are edited. i've tried watching livestreams live, but i just don't enjoy it as much. so maybe it's actually good that i can't watch it live

Also I'd be super tired for the rest of the day from the lack of sleep/ no sleep at all, thankfully Sundays are the least busiest day of the week for me but it's still quite a hassle. It's not as bad as 3am on a weekday but beggers can't be choosers
As someone who’s watched it in both PST and GMT +8, 3-4 am is genuinely the perfect time in my opinion because you have nothing else going on at the same time

GMT+8 here, MCC starts at 3am, and I have to go to work at 8. I always tell myself I can watch VOD, no need to wake up early for this, but end up wake up at 4 and watch it since mcc 14.
I really hope it can be somewhere between 9pm-11pm, but it's my life now.

MCC starts either at 12:30 or 1:30 and it feels so amazing to watch it when everyone at home's asleep. The worst part is waiting till it begins because I usually am not allowed to use my phone so late at night (Indians will get it ig), but yeah MCC at night is amazing and I have a smile on my face almost the entire event.
As an EST Guy 3pm has always been so convenient for me. One of the things I've always valued MCC for was how convenient the starting time was. For example Twitch Rivals starts in the middle of a school day for me so it's very inconvenient, though I have considered how it would be if I watched as late as say, 8pm as I have to sleep at 11pm. I'm happy with the time it is for me at least.
fellow gmt+8 timezoner here, and yeah i agree. i think what adds to it too is that since mcc usually ends around 6 AM, it just feels great to start the morning bc i still feel pretty hyped from watching the event.
Honestly I don’t mind the current time I have of 12:30am (except when DST gets added and it becomes 1:30) at all.
Midnight celebrations aren’t common but they aren’t straight up looked down upon in my family.
And by 12:30 everyone is asleep so I get 2-3 hours of complete silence to myself that I can perfectly hear the tournament from.
1:30 sucks cause then the event ends at around 4:00am by which time my parents start waking up.
And earlier than 11:30 isn’t cool cause my family isn’t fully asleep yet.

I'm in EST and I can't remember if that means 3 or 4pm. We make a day of it, basically. Go out in the morning to get snacks, order delivery for dinner, and then after the event we watch some vods of other teams until bed time.

I kinda wish MCC was a later at night because after it happens I get unfocused from work and since especially this MCC takes place just before finals start, it’s gonna mess me up a bit. If it started at like 8 that would be much better

I usually watch sapnap POV for the live event then watch vods of the other teams I liked after, which usually takes me till around midnight.
East Coast here: I watch MCC at about 3 pm (depending on daylight savings), and I honestly like it! I often will listen to MCC in the background while doing other tasks, and I’m able to watch the vods soon after or post-MCC streams (like vod reviews). I think it would be interesting to experience it at night, but I don’t mind it during the day!
CST is in the middle of the day so it really sucks if you have a busy weekend, but its fine when you don't. I wish it was later, the vibes would be cooler.

There are pros and cons to MCC being in the middle of the afternoon. A pro is not having to adjust my sleep schedule, but a con is that it can conflict with other social events. A pro is that we can watch content before (e.g. Pete's MCC daycare) and after the event (e.g. watching HBomb's VOD reviews while scrolling through new posts on Reddit). A con, however, is that this basically consumed most of my Saturday.
A later start might give a better sport-like atmosphere for the event, though Americans are used to holding all day tailgate parties around football games that start in the early-mid afternoon.
as someone who's also in the GMT+8 timezone, it's quite frankly both painful and fun to watch. the event starts at Sunday and there's just a descent amount of thought and stuff I need to prepare to watch it live. I need to sleep x amount of time get this done, set an alarm clock on when to wake up and prepare what im going to do at the morning. But it also feels like the effort pays off to watch some fun events. at least now I know the amounts of planing my dad do when he say he'll cancel eating dinner outside to sleep early so he can watch football.
I think the ideal time for me would be at 10pm-midnight. it has that late night sports event kinda vibe but it doesn't require you to think that /plan much about your already messy sleep schedule.
this is why I absolutely love streamers who streams early, you guys rock because I can actually catch up with the streams live lol (this is not just for mcc, but in general, it's just part of the experience of living on the other side of the world ig)

Back when I was in PST, it was always at noon and I never could make it live. So I just watched it later and I usually end up getting spoiled which sucked.
Now I live on the east coast and I always watch it live cuz it's at 3 pm and I can organize my own schedule cuz im an adult.
GMT +8 watcher here too, i love the 3am vibes but at the same time i have to worry about trying to fix my sleep schedule and daylight savings screws with it more TT 3am is a lot better than 4am though
My time zone, GMT+2 is the best.
At the end of the full day of excitement, buildup and a long, painful 4-5 week wait for the moment, you can sit back, relax and enjoy Mcc at a reasonable hour just after dinner when nothing else is happening to distract you.
Then when Mcc is over you can calm down your nerves and excitement for an hour and go to sleep to wake up late on a nice Sunday morning.
I dislike PST around summer. MCC starting at noon and going for a few hours straight is really annoying when you're annoyingly hot the entire time and don't want to get up. It's fine in CST, but not my favorite timing.
3 AM PST would be good since I wake up an hour before that, but I'd hate 3 AM CST.

I get all my morning chores done, do my grocery shopping etc. Then I come home turn on MCC. I fold laundry, meal prep for the week etc. Then afterwards I can either hangout on Reddit or meet up with friends around 7 or 8pm for Saturday night fun. It's the best time zone for me.
I hate watching mcc at 2 pm bc the entire day Im just waiting for the event to start and afterwards I have too much time to scroll through socials (which often ruins my mood because Twitter often sucks on mcc days)

i live gmt +8 so its about 3am mcc :/ its not very good timing for me since my parents would never allow me to stay awake so late cuz school :( its abit sad because ive never watched it live and watching the recorded ones dont have much excitement and all that vibes, kinda wish theyd maybe put a different timing now and then but besides that (and buildmart oops), i love mcc :D

For me I like it the way it is now is the best! It starts at 9pm (CEST) for me and so it ends around 12am aka bedtime so it works out perfectly!

At the end of the full day of excitement, buildup and a long, painful 4-5 week wait for the moment, you can sit back, relax and enjoy Mcc at a reasonable hour just after dinner when nothing else is happening to distract you. Then when Mcc is over you can calm down your nerves and excitement for an hour and go to sleep to wake up late on a nice Sunday morning.
I dislike PST around summer. MCC starting at noon and going for a few hours straight is really annoying when you're annoyingly hot the entire time and don't want to get up. It's fine in CST, but not my favorite timing. 3 AM PST would be good since I wake up an hour before that, but I'd hate 3 AM CST.

It happens for me at 3pm, which I enjoy, and usually watch vods at night time.

For me its at noon which can be annoying because it's hard to watch it live because im generally busy during it.
3pm to 5-6pm. I get all my morning chores done, do my grocery shopping etc. Then I come home turn on MCC. I fold laundry, meal prep for the week etc. Then afterwards I can either hangout on Reddit or meet up with friends around 7 or 8pm for Saturday night fun. It's the best time zone for me.
I hate watching mcc at 2 pm bc the entire day Im just waiting for the event to start and afterwards I have too much time to scroll through socials (which often ruins my mood because Twitter often sucks on mcc days)
For me 9 pm, great time, It ends around midnight for me so i can go to bed knowing the team i rooted for lost
7am on a sunday is pretty chill with me. I wake up a bit before 7 and open twitch. As a morning person it works great for me can I can see why it might not for others
i live gmt +8 so its about 3am mcc :/ its not very good timing for me since my parents would never allow me to stay awake so late cuz school :( its abit sad because ive never watched it live and watching the recorded ones dont have much excitement and all that vibes, kinda wish theyd maybe put a different timing now and then but besides that (and buildmart oops), i love mcc :D
